A Facts4EU.Org Sunday reflection on how Brexiteers should all ‘gird their loins’

Facts4EU.Org’s report yesterday proved to be our most-seen on Twitter this year, with numbers well into six figures. On Facebook it was also a ‘best-seller’.

In this Sunday reflection on the state of the continuing Brexit campaign, we bring readers links to the 20 most popular reports we have run this year.

We also reflect on the different audiences that all pro-Brexit groups must address if we are ever to see a truly free, independent, and sovereign United Kingdom again. And finally, we have an interesting little surprise for readers at the end of this article.

The audiences we must hit

In continuing to win the Brexit argument there are four main audiences we must appeal to :-

The voting public
The Government, MPs and Peers
Journalists
The ‘Commentariat’

Facts4EU.Org’s focus has always been on the first three of these. The fourth is a small group, influential in many cases, but they are almost the only ones to read the very lengthy reports produced by some Brexit think-tanks – some of which run to more than 30 pages.

Why are we where we are, still having to fight?

It is of course highly regrettable that successive governments have failed to deliver the majority of the benefits of Brexit. Partly this is down to the anti-democratic behaviour of a significant proportion of MPs, who did everything they could to block Brexit, force a second Referendum, and ultimately to water down Brexit to such an extent that we still do not really yet have a fully-free, independent, and sovereign country.

Many of these anti-democratic MPs lost their seats at the subsequent general elections, but sadly many are still there – and they are still active. One of them is now Chancellor of the Exchequer.

On the day after the EU Referendum on 24th June 2016 every Brexit organisation - bar one - sat back for months, thinking “job done”. The exception was Brexit Facts4EU.Org. The British people had spoken but we knew that what they had said was not what the Remain-dominated Establishment wanted to hear. We therefore carried on publishing daily on the 24th and have published almost every day since then.

The fight isn't over

It is quite funny that you call us ‘extremist rejoiners’.
The reality is that Eurowhingers like Redwood, Lilley, Duncan Smith etc .. spent decades moaning about Brussels. After we joined in the 1970s, had a referendum overwhelmingly confirming that decision and then had election after election after election from 1979 to 2015 confirming support for the European project they still continued to complain. They spent 40 years moaning, poisoning the debate.
Following their fraudulent campaign in 2016 - in which the Brexitists won a narrow majority - in every general election since the majority of voters have rejected the Brexit on offer. The Brexit we have never has - and never will - have a support of the majority.
Nobody would want to undo Brexit if it had been a success. It hasn’t and it won’t be. It has been a disaster. It has made Britain a worse place. It has harmed our economy. It has poisoned our politics, it has divided our society. It has caused immense problems.
Nobody ever argued that the EU was perfect. It isn’t. But it was a damn sight better than what went before - which was decades, centuries even - of belligerence and war. And EU membership is better than what has come since. Brexit has not given you any of the things its proponents said it would. It has massively harmed the opportunities your children and grandchildren will have.
The question is not why you supported Brexit in 2016. The sales brochure was glossy and the salesmen were slick. Of course it was easy to fall for - particularly as most of you hadn’t done the basic research and had been brain-washed for decades. The question is why you continue to support Brexit in 2022 when you can see the damage it has done to our country. The only answer I can see is treachery. Knowingly harming your country is treachery. And you now know you are harming your country. So why the treachery guys? Too gutless to just admit how embarrassingly wrong you were?

I've never been on twitter or Facebook from day one.
I don't want to know what weirdos like this are doing and I certainly don't want them to know what I'm doing.
Buster just got some blood in it after reading the delusional quotes above.
Everything he says is the complete reverse of what Brexit supporters think and feel.
There is a true divide and a complete reversal between people like this and Brexit supporting patriots.
For millennia people have gone to war over their steadfast beliefs. You can see exactly why conflict happens when two sides fervently believe they are right.
We can admit of course, That we truly believe in a free Britain. That is why we will never understand the other side.
This will never change and is why the fight will go on.

We couldn't join the EU in the 70's, it didn't exist until the late 90's.
You couldn't even get that right Buster.
The truth is that the people of the UK have NEVER voted in favour of ANY EU treaty
Major signed us up to Maastricht without a mandate from the electorate
Likewise, Brown signed us up to the Lisbon treaty without obtaining a mandate, despite assuring us he wouldn't.
When we were finally given the opportunity to vote, we rejected the EU.
And always will.

The main thing to avoid is to fight the propaganda wars on their terms. As they showed during the Referendum debate, they are deeply dishonest, and like all dishonest people they have developed the skills of dishonesty. Don't fall for the fallacy that remainerism makes people dishonest, or is a side-effect. because in fact is is people who were already dishonest who became remainers. Remainerism became on of the central lies of their lives, just like "It isn't my fault", "they did it first" and "I forgot my homework". You are not just dealing with dishonest argument, but with people who have used dishonesty to "get by" and slide out of things their entire lives
The remainer tells you that everything would be wonderful if we just rejoined the EU, but he also told you that life would be wonderful if you just voted Labour, or just nationalised industry, or just gave more money to the NHS, or just abolished Grammar Schools. The remainer has a magic answer to every problem, and it is always a lie. A remainer does not just tell lies; their entire life weaves from one lie to another.
Now their line is that Brexit did not magically double the GDP, so it failed. Brexit was never going to double the GDP because Brexit was a political change, not an economic one. It is still you, the British people who have to grow the GDP. What Brexit did was make sure you work to increase the GDP for yourself, not for Germany.

Great comments Buster, spot on. When the Brexitears realise they have been conned we might be able to start mitigating the impact. BJ is now a proven liar, DC created a brilliant campaign based on fiction. If they had been more truthful, Brexit would not have backed.

We weren't voting on a Brexit deal in the referendum, we were voting to leave the EU,.
Boris had to make compromises to move the UK beyond the withdrawal status , because the Eurofannys in Parliament withdrew 'losers consent'
We don't need to prove anything, we got What we wanted.
Only a fool would accept a bet where winning merely leaves you with what you already hold.

To all Remainers - we are out and we will keep vigilant to ensure we stay out. We were lied to by Heath in 1973, it was never just a common market. As we now know, the plan all along was for a United States of Europe. Heath admitted it publicly, saying he fully expected the transition to be complete before year 2000.
The fact is that Remainers joined together in parliament and forced us to leave with a deal or have the Rejoiners conveniently forgotten that? That in itself meant our fate was sealed. Theresa May, unopposed, unelected party leader and Remainer in Chief conjured up the Withdrawal Agreement Treaty which is chiefly why we don't have a proper Brexit.
See the light and open your eyes. Rejoining would require us to ditch the pound and use the Euro. I remember when we went decimal and things virtually doubled in price overnight. I would expect the same if we were forced to join the Euro. Every shop would have to change their equipment, new rules and regulations would cost more money and guess who pays for that.
No thank you, I will never choose to be ruled by Europe, I will always choose the sea.
