THE BREXIT BATTLE PACK AND TOOLBOX
 FRUSTRATED BY PROGRESS ON BREXIT?
IRRITATED BY UNDEMOCRATIC REMAINER MPs?
HERE’S YOUR CHANCE
TO FIGHT BACK
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG PROUDLY PRESENTS ITS
BREXIT BATTLE PACK AND TOOLBOX!
CREATED AND FUNDED BY PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG AND ENDORSED BY:-
If you want to make a difference to Brexit, you can. But you will actually have to do something.
Most of the suggestions don’t require you to leave your chair. You can make a difference from where you’re sitting. But you will have to read our advice if you want your efforts to be worthwhile.
Here is what this Brexit Battle Pack consists of:-
  1. FIRST PRINCIPLES – Who We Need To Persuade
  2. HOW TO GET YOUR MESSAGE ACROSS - Communication Ground Rules
  3. PRIMARY TARGETS GROUP 1 – MPs
  4. PRIMARY TARGETS GROUP 2 – The Media
  5. DEMOCRACY - It's A Numbers Game
  6. TOOLBOX - 1st Compartment: Tools For Contacting MPs
  7. TOOLBOX - 2nd Compartment: Tools For Contacting The Media
PLUS WE HAVE TWO STANDARD LETTERS
1. By far the most important right now is to tell Conservative MPs to oust Mrs May. She is a clear impediment to a true Brexit.
LETTER TO CONSERVATIVE MPs TELLING THEM TO OUST MRS MAY
Here's that simple letter (or you can draft you own), but PLEASE read the advice in this pack here and here first.
© Brexit Facts4EU.Org 2018
2. The second most important letter is to all MPs, telling them to respect the vote.
LETTER TO ALL MPs
© Brexit Facts4EU.Org 2018
Again we would strongly recommend that you read this Battle Pack first, and if you're going to write to MPs please specifically read this and this first.
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE BREXIT BATTLE PACK
Yes, we know the Brexit Battle Pack is a long read, but if it didn’t contain so much useful information it wouldn’t be so useful !
We can’t stress strongly enough our recommendation that you read all the advice BEFORE getting stuck into the toolbox. The last thing you want is to start firing off letters, emails, or calls only to find that they’re not working.
Please trust us, whilst some of the advice might seem obvious to you, some won’t. And if you really want to make a difference and affect the outcome of the Brexit process, the best way is to read everything before you start taking action.
TAKING ACTION
Taking action is what this Pack is all about. Ever since the Referendum, Remainers have had it mostly their own way. There have been High Court cases, constant appearances by Remainer politicians and commentators on the TV, and now we have the ‘Peoples’ Vote’ funded in part by a foreign billionaire.
The democratic vote to leave the EU is not being respected. This is your chance to do something about it.
It will take some of your time, but it will be more effective than posting tweets or Facebook comments. What we’re proposing will actually make a difference.
And if tens of thousands of you take up this challenge, your collective power could be the deciding factor in whether we get a full, clean Brexit, or not.
With the Brexit Battle Pack, it will be over to you.
PROUD TO HAVE THE ENDORSEMENT OF OTHER BREXIT ORGANISATIONS
In recent weeks Brexit Facts4EU.Org has made renewed approaches to other pro-Brexit organisations. We are delighted to announce that fourteen Brexit groups are now endorsing the Brexit Battle Pack & Toolbox and promoting it.

Here are some of the things that other Brexit organisations have said about the Battle Pack:-
“The Brexit Battle Pack is indispensable and should be shared widely. It is vital we all raise our voices individually and this tool helps everyone get the key messages across.”
“Use it today, tomorrow and the day after.”

“Scots For Leave would also like to express our thanks to Facts4EU for all the information and insights it provides, day in, day out, meticulously researched, often revealing information hidden from the general public. This is particularly valuable up here in Scotland, where misconceptions about the EU are not uncommon.”

 THE BREXIT BATTLE PACK
FIRST PRINCIPLES
PART 1 - BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG "BREXIT BATTLE PACK"
Let’s begin with a question. How do we best influence the people who matter, to deliver a full, clean Brexit?
The big problem is not just that we have a Remainer PM and a Remainer cabinet. In this first part of the series we look at some fundamentals of why Brexit is in this mess, over two years after the EU Referendum. This leads to some basic principles.
PRINCIPLE ONE
The big problem for Brexit is that the entire Establishment is still pro-Remain. They just can’t accept the result of the Referendum, which didn’t go the way it was supposed to.
We therefore conclude that there are two main groups to target:-
KEY TARGET GROUPS
  • Members of Parliament
  • The media
These two groups have the most influence on whether we achieve the full, normal, clean Brexit people expected when they voted. There are of course sub-sets of these groups, but we’ll get to that. Fundamentally we need MPs not to block Brexit and yet most of them seem happy to do this right now.
We also need to curb the excessive anti-Brexit bias of the majority of those who work in the media.
ISN’T THIS OBVIOUS?
Before readers think all this is obvious, our Brexit Battle Pack includes a number of targets, not just MPs and journalists. However all these subsidiary targets in one way or the other have an impact on the key influencers.
We would also add that if some of what you are going to read in the coming articles is obvious, how is it that it has never before been expressed in a practical and usable way? Please bear with us while we go through the details in the following parts of this series.
PRINCIPLE TWO
The second major principle is that we must focus on what will stop these two groups (MPs and the media) from standing in the way of Brexit.
Please note that we propose that your ambitions should not be to change their opinions. Most of these people are too heavily invested in their thinking to be able to change their opinions now, whilst still keeping some form of credibility.
We need to apply the type of pressure that will make them re-think their outright opposition to Brexit. Remember the expression “follow the money”? What will make these people soften their opposition in order to keep their jobs?
Finally we must ignore those who are beyond all reasoning. In other words forget people like Anna Soubry and her ilk. They’re extremists and we can’t afford to waste time on them.
PRINCIPLE THREE
The Brexit Battle Pack must be practical and usable by as many ordinary people as possible. It must focus on delivering the result of the Referendum. It must have elements which will appeal to different people.
We have tried to include a variety of actions which readers might feel like taking up. The majority do not involve leaving the comfort of your home!
BEFORE YOU READ ON
This pack of actions does mean you actually have to do something. There is no “click here to make Brexit happen”!
All we can say is that previous generations had to make very major sacrifices for freedom. In comparison, our suggestions are easy.

 HOW TO GET
YOUR MESSAGE ACROSS
COMMUNICATION GROUND RULES
PART 2 - BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG "BREXIT BATTLE PACK"
The plan is to affect the actions of those with the biggest influence over whether Brexit is delivered or not.
BEFORE YOU READ ON, PLEASE READ THIS
We’ve put some thought into how to make this Pack effective. There’s no point people making an effort if that effort isn’t as efficient as possible. We urge you to read the basic guidelines that follow.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG GUIDE – FOR ALL COMMUNICATIONS
  • Keep your messages very short – they have a much better chance of being read
  • Better to make one point well, than ten points which get lost in a long message
  • Remember you’re not trying to convert the MP to Brexit and you’re not trying to win an argument
  • You simply want them to be worried about their job if they don’t get behind Brexit
That said, we think that a simple fact or chart (see our resource library) will make your communication serious and it might even open some eyes
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG GUIDE – FOR ALL COMMUNICATIONS (CONT'D)
  • Don’t be abusive, always be polite
  • Never address an email or letter to more than one person
  • Make it personal and use their name
  • If you’re writing to your constituency MP, you must provide your home address
VISITS versus LETTERS versus CALLS versus EMAILS versus TWEETS
Here is the order of actions you could take, starting with the most impactful:-
PRIORITY ACTIONS WITH MPs
  1. Visiting your local MP at their surgery
  2. Writing a letter to your MP
  3. Calling your local MP’s constituency office
  4. Sending an email to your local MP
  5. Tweeting your MP
PRIORITY ACTIONS WITH THE MEDIA
  1. Calls to the news desk
  2. Letters to the news editor
  3. Letters to individual journalists
  4. Emails to editors and individual journalists
  5. Tweets to all the above
VISITING YOUR MP’S SURGERY
We understand that for many readers, going face-to-face with their MP might seem daunting. We would like to reassure you that most MPs know very little about the EU and what it means to be a member. If you read our site daily, you will almost certainly know far more than they do!
If you are considering this – and it’s without doubt the most powerful thing you could do – then we suggest you forget the arguments for leaving. We had the Referendum and Leave won. End of story.
Remember, you want them to respect the result of the Referendum. You’re not interested in the ways they try to weasel out of this by spouting nonsense like “no-one voted to be poorer” or “the type of Brexit wasn’t on the ballot paper”.
Just tell them you only have five minutes and you simply want to tell them to respect the result and back Brexit. This is about democracy. Anything else is just lawyer-speak. You voted for the UK to exit the EU, and that’s that. Not half-in, half-out. Leaving is leaving, and that means leaving everything.
If you want to make some specific points, write them down before you go. Stick to them and don’t let the MP deflect, which is a standard Remoaner tactic. If you make an unassailable point they typically won’t answer it and instead will say “yes, but what about xyz?” Readers who have had discussions with Remoaners on social media will be familiar with this tactic. Ignore your MP if he or she does this and go back to the point that you expect them to respect the vote and for Brexit to be delivered in full.
Then – and most importantly of all - you must appeal to the MP’s self-interest. We explain this in the next article.
WRITING LETTERS
Letters are SO much more powerful than emails. Few people write letters these days so they have more impact. They have a physical presence and they show commitment on your part. Always include your name and address.
Remember, the key point is to communicate in such a way that the other person knows his or her stance is unacceptable and that you are not going to be fobbed off with a pretend Brexit or indeed no Brexit at all. Often any precise points you make will not be answered, as we said above, but the key thing is that the other person gets the message from you and many thousands of others that their position on Brexit is not acceptable.
WRITING EMAILS
These days MPs receive thousands of emails. The House of Commons server is set up to exclude emails sent to multiple recipients.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY – ADVICE ON EMAILS TO MPs
  • Sending emails copied to many MPs doesn’t work
  • Only individually-addressed emails have a chance of being read
  • Multiple recipient emails will go into spam folders or will not be read
  • Always include your name and address
  • Many MPs have autoresponders which say that your email will not be read if you are not a constituent
  • We don’t know how vigorously an MP’s assistant checks that an address is in the constituency
WRITING TWEETS
We strongly suggest that you only send your MP a tweet after doing one of the actions above. Tweeting your MP is essentially a way of letting off steam. It’s always worth doing, for those MPs who actually see their Twitter accounts (many are run by assistants) but it’s low on the pecking order.
In terms of the seriousness with which the average MP will take your communication, it’s visits, then letters and calls, then emails, then social media messages.
THE KEY POINT TO REMEMBER
Remember, you’re not trying to win individual points about Brexit or to re-run the Referendum – most Remain-supporting MPs have no compelling arguments and will deflect onto another Brexit-related subject.
However if they think their job is under threat because of the number of emails, letters, calls or visits to surgeries they start receiving, they might worry that they’re on the losing side and then you’ve done your job!

 THE PRIMARY TARGETS
GROUP 1 – MPs
PART 3 - BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG "BREXIT BATTLE PACK"
In the article on ‘Communication Ground Rules’ we suggested 5 main methods of direct contact with your MP – visits, letters, calls, emails and tweets.
In addition there are indirect ways of influencing them. These include:
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY – INDIRECT INFLUENCE ON MPs
  • Calls to the MP’s constituency office
  • Individual letters to constituency Chairmen and Committee Members
  • Letters to the local newspapers
  • Calls or tweets to local radio phone-ins
  • Letters or emails to the party’s central headquarters about the MP
  • Tweets to the party central HQ twitter account, and constituency twitter accounts
GRAB THEM BY THE BALLOT BOX
Whichever methods you use, you must tell MPs that if they fail to respect the Referendum result as you see it, you will not vote for them at the next election. If you’re speaking for members of your family, name them, and add that the MP will lose their votes too.
If you feel so inclined you can also state that you will never vote for their party again. You might also add that you will be writing to their constituency chairman to say this, as well as to your local newspaper. And you will contribute to phone-ins on the local radio station.
Tell them that all you’re asking is that they respect the Referendum result, whatever they think of it, and that you expect them to respect democracy and deliver it. If they don’t, they can ‘kiss goodbye’ to your vote (and the votes of your family and friends if appropriate).
MPs really do care about their majorities.
YOU ARE THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG
VERY IMPORTANT – What follows may sound obvious but it needs saying and your MP needs to be reminded of it.
For every one person like you who takes action, there will be hundreds more who feel the same way but never quite get around to doing anything about it. In effect, you will be representing hundreds of the MP’s voters.
Make sure you remind your MP of this fact.
A WORD ABOUT MAJORITIES
If you ask an MP a specific question on Brexit, eg “How much faster did the economy grow each year, on average, in the 25 years after joining the Single Market?” they will flounder. (By the way, this is a trick question. It fell from an average growth of 2.4% in the 25 years before, to 2.2% in the 25 years after.)
However, if you ask any MP what majority he or she got at the last election, almost all of them will know.
A TRICK OF MATHS – majorities and voters switching their vote
If an MP had a majority of 2,000 at the 2017 general election, how many voters are needed to switch in order for the MP to lose the seat at the next election? (All other things being equal.)
The answer is 1,001. If 1,001 voters switched their votes from the current MP to the second-place challenger, the MP would be unseated.
Naturally all other votes would have to stay the same, but we’re making a general point which can be missed by many people.
So, if you look at your MP’s majority, remember to halve it when telling the MP that only x,xxx people like you have to switch your votes for him or her to be out of a job by 2022 at the latest.
EXAMPLE – AMBER RUDD MP
Arch-Remoaner Amber Rudd’s majority at the 2017 election was 346. If just 174 voters had switched to the challenger, she would have lost by 2 votes.
Remember that just by doing something you are one of the few. For every one of you there are probably many hundreds or even thousands like you in your constituency, who feel the same way but who don’t get around to telling the MP. If you live in Hastings or Rye, you could reasonably tell Ms Rudd that she should therefore start looking for another job if an election is called.
Unless she unequivocally starts backing a full, clean Brexit, of course….
There is more about this subject, as well as the MPs who are most under threat, in the first section of our 'Toolbox', further down this page.
FINALLY, SWITCHING OR ABSTAINING?
A principal argument from the Conservative Party Central Office apparatus to its members and voters is that you must vote Conservative at the next election because the alternative is Jeremy Corbyn.
Readers will have different views on this. Brexit Facts4EU.Org’s mission is to ensure Brexit is delivered in full. We must therefore adopt the ‘nuclear option’.
As with nuclear weapons, if the other side doesn’t believe you’ll use them, then they are no deterrent.
We have received countless emails from readers who have always voted Conservative, who tell us that they cannot do so again while Mrs May is in charge and if Brexit is fudged. We have also received a smaller number of emails telling us that however strong their feelings on Brexit, the readers could not in all conscience vote in a way which would put Mr Corbyn in power.
This is a decision that individual readers must make for themselves. We would only say that a possible alternative option for some readers who can’t vote for another party may be to go to the polling station and deliberately spoil their ballot paper – an ‘active abstention’.
As we suggested above, we believe the threat to democracy from the Establishment is now so severe that the Conservative Party (and its MPs) must believe that they will lose the next election if they don’t start respecting the Referendum result unequivocally and in full.
For the purposes of this action plan, actual votes are not required of course. However if you want to be honest with your MP then these are matters you should consider before contacting them.
WE WOULD LIKE TO ADD ONE FINAL POINT
If you live in one of the many constituencies where it is traditionally a 2-way fight, the one thing your MP will be most scared of is if you said you will be voting for the second-place challenger if your MP doesn't start supporting Brexit. The reason is simple: this would be the most likely to unseat him or her.
If the second-place candidate is a LibDem and therefore also a Remainer, you might even tell your Remainer MP that you might as well vote for the LibDems, as neither the LibDem candidate nor your MP back Brexit and you will simply punish your MP for not respecting the democratic result of the Referendum, as they are actually in Parliament right now.
CONTACT DETAILS TOOLBOX
For contact details, we have prepared a ‘BREXIT BATTLE PACK TOOLBOX’ containing as much information as we can assemble on MPs, news organisations, local parties, etc. You will find this further down this page.
Naturally this doesn’t stop you doing your own research! We ask readers please to send any useful contact details they have collated, and we will add them to our tables.

 THE PRIMARY TARGETS
GROUP 2 - THE MEDIA
PART 4 - BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG "BREXIT BATTLE PACK"
Day after day we read Remainers stating with absolute certainty that the TV media is biased in favour of Brexit. Yes, you read that right.
Needless to say, the facts don’t back this up. All surveys of relevant TV programmes (BBC Question Time, Any Questions, the Today Programme, Newsnight, the Marr Show, etc) have shown an overwhelming bias in favour of participants who are Remainers.
Even putting aside the detailed analysis that has been done, it’s obvious just from daily viewing how much of the TV media in particular are biased against Brexit. Enough said.
WHOSE VOICES ARE THE TV MEDIA HEARING?
What may not be fully appreciated by all readers is the activism of the Remain camp. When Leave won the Referendum, the Establishment started to get very active indeed. Many ordinary Remainers accepted the result but little by little an increasing number of Remainers became emboldened by the actions of the Establishment.
The result of all of this is that we strongly suspect (although naturally we have no access to the data from the media companies) that Remoaners have been far more active in contacting the media to complain.
Well, we suggest it’s time for ordinary Brexiteers to become as active as Remoaners are.
TV news remains at the top of the polls when people are asked where they get their news from. The internet has caught up - just - but there’s little doubt that the main news channels of the BBC, Sky News, and ITN are still key formers of public opinion.
THE QUESTION IS, WHAT CAN BE DONE PRACTICALLY?
1. THE BBC
With no commercial interests to worry about, the BBC considers itself above everything. We propose that at the very least we should ensure that they hear the voices of the 17.4 million who voted for Brexit.
This means complaints. Every day. By the thousands.
This won’t convert these metropolitan luvvies, but at the least it will gradually make them uneasy. Don’t forget, all we’re trying to do is to influence things, bring some balance, and achieve a more level playing field.
If BBC News and Current Affairs started receiving a much higher volume of daily complaints from Brexiteers, it might make some presenters less inclined to interrupt pro-Brexit guests whilst they allow Remainer guests to speak uninterrupted. It might make news editors more likely to invite pro-Brexit guests onto the shows. It might persuade them to report on stories which are intrinsically favourable to Brexit, instead of constantly running news pieces on (mostly fake) negative news.
In our Brexit Facts4EU.Org Battle Pack Toolbox, we are including the email addresses and phone numbers for BBC (and Sky and ITN) editors, programmes, and journalists, insofar as these are available.
Our proposal is that as many readers as possible get into the habit of emailing or calling the moment they see bias on a BBC news programme. Hit them hard, and hit them often. As with MPs, we suggest a combination of communication techniques, with the usual order of impact: letters, calls, emails, tweets.
2. COMMERCIAL TV – SKY NEWS AND ITN
Commercial TV only works on the basis of advertising revenue and subscriptions. This gives Brexiteers more leverage.
Readers can adopt the same method as with the BBC (above), and let the broadcasters know their views as often as possible and using a variety of means of communication. Without doubt this will make a difference. And even a marginal improvement would be something.
However with commercial broadcasters there is also the option of a threat which attacks their business model.
For Sky this could mean pulling financial support by cancelling or reducing subscriptions. Readers who felt so inclined could give the broadcaster a few weeks to introduce some normal impartiality, for example. If no improvement were seen this would result in the reader downgrading their subscription (perhaps their current subscription includes channels they rarely watch) or even of cancelling it altogether.
On the advertising revenue side, readers might feel inclined to say that they now consider xyz programme to be unwatchable. Some of the Brexit Facts4EU.Org team can no longer watch Adam Boulton’s daily “All Out Politics” programme, for example. (And please don’t get us started on Kay Burley.)
This sanction applies to both Sky and ITN. If you’re going to contact Sky or ITN to complain and tell them your proposed course of action, it’s important to link it to their commercial model.
In other words, “Please tell all advertising agencies placing spots on ‘All Out Politics’ that I will no longer see these adverts. And if I’m saying this, just remember that for each person like me there are hundreds who don’t complain, they just stop watching.”

 DEMOCRACY
IT'S A NUMBERS GAME
PART 5 - BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG "BREXIT BATTLE PACK"
What we are aiming to do with this Battle Pack is to inspire hundreds of thousands of ordinary people – including some who voted Remain but who respect democracy – to make their voices heard.
Let’s face it, we’re all a bit lazy about this kind of thing, or we're just too busy. We might turn to a friend, wife, husband or partner and say something, but what good does that do? Things are now getting desperate and desperate measures are required.
This means making a commitment. It means you saying to yourself “Yes, they’re right, I should do something. My voice is being ignored and I can’t trust MPs to respect the vote.”
DO ONE THING
We know the Brexit Battle Pack is a long read. However we needed to say a lot to ensure that whatever you do, it will be as effective as possible.
We urge all readers to pick up at least one of the ideas above and actually run with it. Obviously, the more you can do, the better, but why not at least commit to doing one thing?
This Brexit Facts4EU.Org initiative may not be perfect, it certainly doesn’t include everything and we’ll be adding to it, but at least we’ve taken a stand. We’ve proposed practical ways you can make a difference and help to ensure we get a true, clean Brexit.
To the cynics, all we can say is you exist in every walk of life. It’s not clever to pick holes. We can all do that. Why allow MPs and the media to think they can get away with some absurd, fudged pretence of a Brexit – or indeed no Brexit at all – without a fight?
And remember, a recent Brexit vote in the Commons was won by just 4 votes. Your efforts don't have to influence everyone in order to make a huge difference.

PART 6 - PUTTING THEORY INTO PRACTICE
FIRST COMPARTMENT: TOOLS FOR CONTACTING MPs
Before you contact an MP or the media, we strongly recommend reading our advice above. General communication advice is here. There is also some specific advice about dealing with MPs here and with the media here.
CONTACTING MORE THAN ONE MP
If you wish to contact more than one MP, you can do this if you have friends or family in other constituencies and if they agree with your Brexit stance. They may be perfectly happy for you to use their postal address and to speak/write on their behalf. This is a matter for readers and all we can say is the more MPs receiving contact on this subject the better.
The key thing is that you should be able to provide an address in the constituency when contacting an MP.
FINDING CONTACT DETAILS

EMAILING
As we have said in articles above, emailing an MP is fine but please remember that it’s easy to email, so many people do that. Letters take more time and effort but they have more impact.
It’s worth noting that our Editor has the private email addresses of many politicians, as well as their mobile numbers, but these were given in confidence and we can’t provide these under any circumstances. The reason for them giving their private email addresses is precisely because MPs receive so many emails each day on their parliamentary email accounts.
You can also use a free “write to your MP” service but be aware that this sends an email not a letter. The advantage is that they track whether MPs respond or not.
CONSTITUENCY OFFICES
These are listed for some MPs by using the House of Commons Directory, above. If it’s not there it will be in the phone book under ‘Members of Parliament’, or you can call the MP’s office in the Commons to get the address.
In addition, the Labour Party has a tool on its site for finding your MP. Click on the box when the MP’s details come up and the next page generally contain the constituency contact details. Labour also has a list of regional offices – details below.
MP’S SURGERIES
These are organised at local level. Contact the constituency office who will give you details. You don’t have to give a reason, just that you want to see your MP on a personal matter. Please be nice to the person giving the information – they may want to reassure themselves that you are not a security threat, which is understandable.
If when you see your MP he or she immediately tries to tell you that Brexit is a national not a constituency matter, stress that you only need a few minutes and that for you it’s a constituency matter because the MP’s job is at stake.
POLITICAL PARTY HQ’s
You may wish to contact an MP’s party at national or regional level. We don’t see why national, regional or local Chairmen and activists shouldn’t be aware of the strength of feeling in the country.

UKIP
We have not given any detailed information for UKIP because their stance is firmly pro-Brexit anyway and time is better spent on anti-Brexit people. You may of course wish to blind copy anything you do to Gerard Batten or your local party organisers, for information purposes. We hope to receive an endorsement from the Party for this initiative and will update you accordingly.
MAJORITIES – HOW VULNERABLE IS YOUR MP?
If you want to work smart – and our readers are nothing if not smart - Brexit Facts4EU.Org has conducted its own analysis of the most vulnerable MPs.
In the 2017 general election there were:-
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG - ANALYSIS OF VULNERABLE MPs
  • 80 seats with a majority of less than 2,000
  • 120 seats with a majority of less than 3,000
  • 180 seats with a majority of less than 5,000
  • 293 seats with a majority of less than 10,000
This means a large number of MPs are vulnerable. Remember, an MP with a majority of 2,000 votes only has to see 1,001 switch to the second place candidate and they would lose their seat. (In reality because these seats have majorities under 2,000 then it takes less than 1,000 voters to switch, in order for 80 MPs to lose their jobs, all other things being equal.)
And if there is a big backlash against MPs who refuse to accept the result of the Referendum, large swings are a very real possibility, threatening the jobs of a couple of hundred MPs or more.
Click here to see the top 80 most vulnerable seats, with majorities of less than 2,000. These are broken into the top 40 and the 41-80 most marginal.

Message: Some advice for those who live in Labour seats that also voted remain. Their argument has been that they are 'representing their constituents' who did not vote to leave. The focus here has to be democracy and manifesto commitments, helpfully pointing out that key elements cannot be achieved unless we have left properly and the EU Treaties being the law.
Boundary changes. Some readers may have an opportunity to write to two MPs if they are impacted by the boundary review, which has been revised (thankfully) since its initial publication, which may be in place at the next GE. The communication should not be dismissed if the boundary review is referenced (I think). The revised report (England) can be found at https://boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk/2018-review/rp-england/ . A quick check for the expected constituency via postcode is via http://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/boundaries2018.html . Thankfully, my ward now appears to be going back to its original seat (a change from the original proposal). I can now write to Bob Stewart as well.
Abstaining or spoiling. Voting was a hard won right, and I would advocate strongly against abstaining completely. "Don't vote? Don't moan" has always been my motto. Abstaining, resulting in low turnouts are always 'explained away' by bad weather, something else on the tv etc and the root cause, disaffection, not looked for and so the circus rolls on. However, spoiled papers form official records. The candidates are also shown (or read) any comments/messages on the ballot paper. Arguably, actively going to the polling station and deliberately spoiling your paper should be a strong message of your disgust. If 'spoiled' numbers were high, it may even trigger an investigation. Think 'None of the above'. At the last local election I spoiled my vote for the first time in my life.

PART 7 - PUTTING THEORY INTO PRACTICE
SECOND COMPARTMENT: TOOLS FOR CONTACTING THE MEDIA
CONTACTING THE BROADCAST MEDIA AND COMBATTING THE BIAS
The BBC, Sky and ITN constantly protest that they are free of bias regarding Brexit. We find this laughable based on our monitoring of their output on TV and online.
Formal surveys which have been carried out on major BBC political programmes have found an overwhelming bias in favour of guests who are anti-Brexit, or who voted Remain.
It is our opinion that the BBC (and most other broadcast media organisations) are full of Remain supporters. We also observe that the vast majority of presenters clearly have very little knowledge of the EU, nor the issues surrounding Brexit. An obvious exception at the BBC is Mr Andrew Neil, who is the master of his art.
JUST ONE SMALL INDICATOR OF THE BBC’S BIAS
You only have to look at the newspapers bought by the BBC. The Remainiac Guardian represents only 2.9% of the circulation of the main 9 daily newspapers sold in the UK. Yet it is the second-most bought newspaper by the BBC. Pro-rata the BBC buys more than five times as many copies as are bought by the public.
The newspaper bought most by the BBC is the Times, which also came out for Remain in the Referendum. [Sources: Official ABC circulation statistics 2018, and Freedom of Information request to the BBC in July 2017.]
COMPLAIN LOUD AND OFTEN, BUT KEEP IT SIMPLE
As with politicians, we do not propose that readers attempt to convert those who work in the broadcast media. However we do propose that you may want to let them know just how much you disapprove of their work. If nothing else, this will make them think and might even make a difference to their output.
If thousands of readers made a short (even one-line) complaint each time they saw evident anti-Brexit bias on the TV, it might make a few people sit up and take notice.

GENTLE REMINDER
Always be polite, but firm. We strongly recommend that you don't try to convert anyone. Your complaint should simply be about what you see as evident bias in a programme, preferably immediately after you've watched it.
KILLER CHARTS AND FACTS
We would love to provide you with a selection of some 'killer charts and facts' which we have researched and produced on all topics related to EU membership. Unfortunately we simply don't have the resources to put these together in a summary as we are grossly underfunded. You can of course look back through our many hundreds of articles for yourselves, to find some great material.
That said, we still think that the key message to MPs should be that they MUST respect democracy, which means the UK leaving the EU fully and properly.
Good luck, and please let us know how you get on!

Facts4eu.org is non party-political and not supported by any Brexit campaign.
We present facts we've researched from official government and EU sources.

Now that the Referendum has been won, we have 2 main aims:
1.  To provide bullet-pointed and factual summaries of key points, to help people to ensure Brexit is delivered in full.
2.  Crucially, to allow MPs and campaigners to give reliable and consistent facts to the public.
Please don't hesitate to contact the Editors if you can volunteer in some way, and particularly if you can support us financially.
NEUTRALITY:    Facts4eu.org focuses on information which shows that the UK is better off regaining its independence and growing globally. The entire weight of the Establishment is promoting the opposite case, so this site is just one small voice trying to redress the balance.
