Observations

It is interesting that people around the world share the concerns of millions of people in the United Kingdom. Even on the other side of the globe in Australia, our friends there are fighting similar battles for independence, sovereignty, democracy and freedom. Each country naturally also has national issues, but many concerns are held in common. The same is true in the United States.

Today, Sun 07 Jul 2024, the French people go to vote in the second round of their general election. (Being French they vote twice, one week apart, just to make life more difficult for everyone.) The Centrists of President Macron have been forced to combine with many other partries in an effort to stop the juggernaut that is Marine Le Pen and her ‘National Rally’.

Facts4EU.Org will of course provide its customary summary analysis of the French election in the coming days.

And finally…

As it’s Sunday we end on some music, as regular readers expect. This one is dedicated to our soon-to-be-departed Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, following his “I’m sorry” speech on Friday.
