Part II of Facts4EU’s 3-parter on the immigration crisis facing the UK

Since 2018 the UK has taken in 112,555 of President Macron’s illegal migrants. To date he has refused to take a single one back.

Yesterday we published our analysis of the latest Office for National Statistics and Home Office data on legal immigration into the United Kingdom. Today we look at the illegal migrants from President Macron’s France. The numbers might be smaller than the extraordinary figures we revealed yesterday, but the risks are potentially much greater.

A Brexit Facts4EU.Org Three-Part Series

We cut through the volumes of data to answer three questions :-

Part I – How much has ‘legal’ immigration risen?
Part II - How much has illegal immigration risen? (This report)
Part III - What has been the effect on the UK's population?

It remains the case that for the last five years President Macron has refused to take a single one of his illegals back, despite the UK paying him hundreds of millions of pounds to fund his own border controls.

The numbers are smaller than for legal migrants, but ….

The numbers might be smaller than for legal immigrants, but the authorities do not know who these illegal migrants are.

It is now well known that boat migrants are instructed by the people smugglers to throw their identity papers and mobile phones into the water before they are ‘rescued’ by UK Border Force, HM Coastguard, or the RNLI.

Brexit Facts4EU.Org Summary

Illegal migrants started crossing the Channel from France in 2018

  • Total arrived 01 Jan 2018-21 Nov 2023 : 112,555
  • Total returned to France in that time : Zero

Unlike legal immigrants, therefore, the Home Office has almost no information about who these 112,500 people are, where they are from, and whether they pose a serious threat to security in the UK. All we know is that they have come from the safe country of France.

What does all this mean?

Last month we produced a report showing how France has exported over 3.5 times as many illegal migrants to the UK as it has deported worldwide.

Almost all of the thousands of illegal boat migrants arriving on England’s southern coastline now come from President Macron’s France. It is therefore reasonable to compare the numbers of boat migrants with the total number of illegal migrants which France has deported via official means.

Brexit Facts4EU.Org Summary

French ‘exports’ of illegal migrants to the UK via boats
versus its official worldwide deportations

For the period Jan 2022-Jun 2023

1. France’s illegal boat migrants leaving its shores

  • France has ‘exported’ 57,188 of its illegal migrants to the UK in the last 18 months
  • This is the number of ‘illegal boat migrants’ in that period, according to the Home Office
  • France only legally deported 15,950 in the same period – to all countries of the world combined
  • Macron has ‘exported’ 3.5 times as many illegal boat migrants to the UK than it has deported to the rest of the world

2. France’s ‘orders to leave’

In short, the number of illegal migrants that the French government and the EU has allowed to leave for UK shores since the start of last year dwarfs the number that France has managed to deport via legal means.

Legal deportation is a lengthy and costly process. The illegal migrants who depart France by small boats for England pay the traffickers themselves, saving the French government time, effort and money.

When the migrants arrive in the UK they then cost the taxpayer around £6.5 million per day in hotel costs, plus daily spending money, plus the cost of healthcare, social services, schooling, and other services.

Anti-Semitism march in London tomorrow

The march starts at 1.30pm from the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL

We must all push back. Do please go on this march if you can. Here is what the organisers say :

Over the last several weeks, antisemitism has surged in the UK by over 1,000%. Weekend after weekend, London and numerous other major cities have become no-go zones for Jewish people as our urban centres are taken over by rallies featuring genocidal chants, Hamas-style headbands, antisemitic placards, calls for jihad and the globalisation of intifada, songs about slaughtering Jews, Islamist flags, glorification of terrorism and incitement to racial or religious hatred against Jews.

"Jews do not feel safe.

"Britain is a country known for its tolerance and decency. The people of this country stand with the Jewish community in this difficult time.

"This Sunday, 26th November, in central London, please march in solidarity with Britain’s Jews against antisemitism."

Observations

Macron and the EU Commission

President Macron refuses to discuss the UK being able to return illegal boat migrants to France, saying that this is a matter for the EU Commission. This is of course wholly disingenuous. He could take them back if he wanted to, without needing the Commission. He chooses not to.

The EU Commission is similarly disinclined to discuss a returns mechanism. Like Macron they view this as another way to punish the British for daring to leave their empire. We would dearly like to know why the UK Government does not continually call out both the French and the EU Commission for their behaviour. With over 112,500 illegal migrants now having arrived from France, the French government and the Commission should be named and shamed.

The terrorist threat to the UK

Yesterday we published details of the mass legal immigration being suffered by the British people. The illegal boat migrants may be smaller in number but there are other, serious concerns. We know that the vast majority are young men, despite the BBC always choosing to point its cameras at a woman and a child disembarking from the Border Force or RNLI taxi service whenever it can. What we do not know is how many of these migrants represent a terrorist threat to the UK.

The soaring costs

Instead of taking a robust stance with the French and the EU Commission, the British Government has chosen to throw money at the French for doing a job they should be paying for themselves. A week ago we published the results of our research with the French Interior Ministry showing that they have been paid over £0.7bn courtesy of the UK taxpayer. This comes on top of the £6.5m per day to house these migrants in the UK. It is almost never said but this comes to an astonishing £2.4bn per year - plus the bungs to the French.

In the final part of this trilogy on the immigration crisis we will look at the effect of both legal and illegal immigration on the population of the United Kingdom. If readers thought the first two parts were bad enough, the final part will make people's blood boil.
