This time last year, 1.3 million people had died in the EU – without Coronavirus

This time this year, total deaths with Coronavirus in the EU are 19,943

In the UK it is 1,019 - 0.7% of the total expected UK deaths by this time in the year

Maybe Coronavirus deaths across the EU will rocket. Let's hope not.

Maybe in the UK they will surge to nearly 150 times their current levels. If they did this, they would match the usual daily deaths from all causes in the UK.

Last week the Chief Medical Officer was saying that at least two-thirds of Coronavirus deaths would have happened anyway, due to other causes. Many people are now asking for real facts so that they can work out if this World Health Organisation pandemic is the real deal or not.

We know how to settle this question

We have the answer. We know how to decide if we have a real problem, or if this whole Coronavirus has been blown up beyond all proportion, or if the truth is somewhere in between.

Let’s look at the United Kingdom on its own

We have received many emails from readers who are asking about the unprecedented economic and societal actions being taken by Her Majesty’s Government.

People would like to know if we are facing a problem which does indeed require some of the draconian measures which have been implemented across the entire country.

The Government can settle this question very quickly

The Coronavirus is costing the British people hundreds of billions of pounds. The situation is now so bad that unemployment is soaring, thousands of companies will close, and the economy will contract faster than at any time since WWII.

Regardless of the measures taken by the Chancellor, the personal hardship and economic devastation will be severe, widespread, and long-lasting.

The least the Government can do is to apply whatever resources are required to give us the daily number of total deaths in the UK. After all, they can do it for deaths attributed to the Coronavirus on a daily basis, so it should not be a problem to do another daily figure for total deaths per day from all causes in the UK.

A simple request from Brexit Facts4EU.Org to Her Majesty’s Government

We call on the Government to publish the total number of UK deaths each day from all causes at the same time as they publish the number of UK deaths each day from the Coronavirus.

Dear Boris,

You tell us how many people die with the Coronavirus each day.

Please tell us how many die of all causes each day.

We will compare this with the average number of deaths that day in previous years. Then the public can see how many extra deaths are being caused by the Coronavirus.

We already have the daily figures for deaths in 2018, and the average daily figures for the last five years. We also call on the Government immediately to publish the total number of UK deaths every day in 2020.

Observations

Damned if we do, damned if we don ‘t

This might be the first health scare in the last 100 years which proves to be as scary as the predictions which have been made by all the health 'experts'. Or it might be like AIDS, SARS, Swine Flu, Foot and Mouth, Mad Cow Disease, Ebola, MERS, ZIKA and every other iteration with which the global medical community has frightened the British public for generations.

All we can do is present facts and ask questions. Epidemiology is not our specialist subject. That said, we have amassed an enormous amount of data on Coronavirus now, so we would ask the “smart alec Remainers” out there on social media to assume that we have read and do understand a great deal of the research material available. As ever, this article is a summary. Our job is to distil this for the public.

Boris, we think ours is a reasonable request

We think our request to the Government to publish total daily death figures in the UK, at the same time as those number of deaths which are attributed to the Coronavirus, is perfectly reasonable.

This would allow the British public to assess the relative impact of the Coronavirus on the UK, and whether the reaction to it and the various policy measures are proportionate. And please let’s assume that the public aren’t stupid. They know that death rates from a new variant of a disease can rise exponentially.

They would just like to know how many more deaths are occurring than in a normal year.

And we would like to bring people some up-to-date and highly-relevant facts so that they can judge things. For themselves.

They had better get a grip fast to fully justify a tyrannical power grab. It only took hours before the police enthusiastically found available resources, not available for crime, to wield their stasi-like new powers over the plebs. How I wish that they were so diligent with actual (before the weekend) criminal behaviour. It does them no favours. I await the inevitable increase of vitamin D deficiency, which helps the immune system, if this continues for any unjustified length of time.
People are rightly questioning their actions. With any new disease, there is expected to be 'excess' deaths, ie over and above the 'normal' mortality rate. We haven't even reached 'normal' levels yet & that's despite recording all deaths 'with' kung flu not just 'of' kung flu. Can anyone even trust the official figures? A family member was diagnosed 'with' kung flu with just a visual inspection, later changed to 'possible' when questioned. Despite his symptoms being different & having the problem for 10 weeks. A 'critical' worker who now has to stay at home & give them a call if no change in 3 weeks so he'll be back at square 1. We need proper information, not selective slices. We need to know why we are housebound but borders are still open & why the police are ignoring 'some' breaches of the rules.
It seems that the Govt have relied upon the discredited Blairling Ferguson's 'model' for justification. Quite how he was listened to after his previous advice on BSE & VCJD resulting in the unnecessary & disastrous culling of cattle & sheep is a mystery. The EU placeling Sedwell is also a poisonous drip in the ear, along with the fear factory MSM calling for greater & greater state control. They are a real and present danger to society now. There needs to be a reckoning when this is over.
After WW2, it took until the 60s to remove the 'temporary' powers the Govts had granted themselves. Just how many of these totalitarian controls will be retained 'for your own safety'?

No doubt our government (and those of other countries) recognise that we wouldn't be so easily coerced if these sort of figures were presented clearly and unambiguously. Frightened people are easier to control, and the principle of 'divide and rule' has been quite literally applied. Perhaps that's why the press was allowed to set its agenda of 'panic, we're all doomed' weeks ago without the government countering it by giving us the facts. Perhaps our 'leaders' have our well being at heart and feel they NEED to control us for our own good - temporarily? Just imagine if there were no internet or social media - we'd all truly be isolated then.

I blame the media, they report minute by minute the number of people dying.
As you point out the mortality rate is wrongly blamed on covid 19, many of the elderly were going to die this year of other ailments.
Statistically in how many cases has covid 19 hastened their death. The media do not ask these questions and the facts are not readily available.

Also of embarrassment, I've heard that Sweden, Mexico, and Japan have not taken such draconian measures, but their infection rates are considerably lower than ours - something doesn't add up!

The BBC and newspaper Brussels correspondents never tell me what is going on in the EU.
Euractiv reports: The bloc’s divisions were laid bare after leaders hit an impasse on Thursday over how to minimise the economic pain and prepare for an eventual recovery, with the ailing south incensed by the resistance of the richer north to offer more support.
EU leaders on Thursday (26 March) continued to disagree over the economic response to the coronavirus as Northern countries rejected the idea of issuing joint debt, known as “corona bonds”, proposed by nine member states to finance the recovery.
Germany and the Netherlands came out strongly against a push by Italy, Spain, Portugal and France to issue joint bonds to help finance an economic stimulus. There were also squabbles over the sharing of medical equipment and border controls.

The reason “death rates” are climbing
look at what has happened since the emergence of Covid-19. The list of notifiable diseases has been updated. This list — as well as containing smallpox, anthrax, brucellosis, plague and rabies has now been amended to include Covid-19. But not flu. That means every positive test for Covid-19 must be notified, in a way that it just would not be for flu or most other infections.
In the current climate, anyone with a positive test for Covid-19 will certainly be known to clinical staff looking after them: if any of these patients dies, staff will have to record the Covid-19 designation on the death certificate
