Imagine if last Thursday 4,000 synagogues like Manchester’s Heaton Park had been attacked in one morning

Imagine if 8,500 had been killed, 25,000 wounded, and 1,800 taken as hostages

Imagine if across the North, the 8,500 dead had included beheadings, families burned alive, children and babies killed, girls gang-raped – and worse

Imagine some hostages are still being held captive, starved and tortured, two years later

Pro-rata for the populations, this is the reality for the Israeli people today, on the second anniversary of the October 7th attack. We have simply multiplied the Manchester attack to be the same size as the attack on southern Israel two years ago, and then multiplied again to put it in terms of the population of the UK compared to Israel. All figures for the UK are rounded, generally downwards.

The above gives some idea to British readers of what Israelis are commemorating today.

This in no way takes away from the shock, deep sadness, and sympathy felt by the vast majority of the British people over what took place in Manchester. All members of the Brexit Facts4EU team feel the same way. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the dead and wounded, to those who were there, and to the entire British Jewish community. We also feel great sympathy for members of the police rapid response team, commend their bravery, and say that what they did save many more lives.

The shame on the shoulders of our nation

This attack in Manchester took place at the Heaton Park synagogue on Thursday 02 October while the congregation were gathered to pray.

For years now this law-abiding segment of the British people have lived in fear. This fear has grown as antisemitism has been allowed to rise and recently it has grown to the extent that this element of our population have had to endure guards protecting them at all gatherings and even outside schools. Try to imagine living in fear, in the United Kingdom, in 2025.

Today is not the day for recriminations but we have important information to share

Today we continue to feel for the community in Manchester, still trying to come to terms with what happened on Thursday. We also think of the people of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, as they remember the events that took place two years ago today.

It can perhaps be thought of as being cold, thinking of the consequences of such tragedies and what can be learnt from them. Unfortunately this is what we have been doing in recent days. Whilst continuing to work on other important reports of a more conventional nature, we have also been using all of our contacts to investigate aspects of the terrorist threat to the United Kingdom which arise from the events above.

Tomorrow you will not have to imagine

Yesterday we took possession of material of a sensitive nature which prompt some very serious questions here in the United Kingdom. We are in discussions about what we are able to share but we can say that our report will touch on the actions of Sir Keir Starmer and his government, as well as contextualising these with a wider questioning over uncontrolled and illegal immigration and the changing fabric of British society.

As always, our report will be fact-based and we hope to have the observations of at least one very senior Parliamentarian. If readers have not already done so, they may first wish to read the report we published on Friday (03 Oct 2025).

Observations

In addition to a shocking immigration report we will be publishing on Thursday, the report we are working on which is mentioned above is of a very complex nature for a great many reasons. It will be - as with all our reports - unique. Some of the subject matter might be described as being of a highly contentious nature. Nevertheless we feel this information deserves to be in the public domain.

If you would like us to keep doing work like this, we would ask all those who read us regularly but who have never donated towards our costs to do so today, now. It really is quick and simple and your details are kept completely confidential.

Please, please help us to carry on our vital work in defence of independence, sovereignty, democracy and freedom by donating today. Thank you.

Politicians and journalists can contact us for details, as ever.
