Early reports suggest several shots were fired by an assassin with a high-powered rifle, which killed a Trump supporter and very narrowly missed killing President Trump. With blood coming from the right side of his head, President Trump reacted fast and was then rapidly escorted to safety and hospital.

Questions will now be asked of the Secret Service. The video below from C-SPAN hardly inspires confidence in the quality of protection that President Trump has been receiving.

One remarkable point: President Trump reacted with amazing speed. His Secret Service detail looked amateurish in comparison.

A very lucky man: and we need a lucky leader of the western world. But bad news for Starmer and the Labour Party: Trump is now a shoo-in for US President, the EU is in turmoil, and Farage is in parliament. Trump will be briefed by Farage before any contact with the UK. For the Labour Party the ice is beginning to crack, with little hope for assistance.
