A Global Discussion Forum special, organised by Facts4EU, on sovereignty and democracy

Focusing on the internationally totemic issue of Northern Ireland’s people being subject to EU laws over which they have no say, and over which their politicians have no vote, our guest speakers will address us on fundamental issues of sovereignty and democracy. We are certain these will resonate in the UK and Europe, and for our global audience.

We have :-

  • Jim Allister KC MP, Leader of the TUV party in Northern Ireland
  • Dan Boucher, former Head of Communications for the DUP party
  • And our Special Guest Star, former MEP and former Deputy Leader of Reform UK, Ben Habib

Each keynote speaker will address us for about five minutes, following which you can question them before we move to the next speaker. The Master of Ceremonies and Moderator is Steven Tripp of Commanding the Narrative, who will be running this fast-moving, global event for us from Sydney, Australia.

“A champagne moment” – Nigel Farage

This was how Nigel Farage described Ben Habib’s decision on Thursday to disassociate himself from Reform UK - the fastest-growing political party in the country.

A masterful and compelling orator, Ben will deliver his views on the Northern Ireland Protocol, first agreed by Theresa May and then by Boris Johnson, before being amended under Rishi Sunak’s disastrous ‘Windsor Framework’.

Ben will undoubtedly be asked by the audience about his split from Reform UK and Nigel Farage’s remarks in the wake of his announcement. Tune in this morning, live, to find out what Ben has to say!

This event will be live-streamed around the world from :-

  • London, United Kingdom
  • Paris, France, and
  • Sydney, Australia

The event has been organised by Facts4EU.Org and is a Global Discussion Forum co-production between Facts4EU.Org,  CommandingTheNarrative.com, and CIBUK.Org. This important event will also be recorded, and clips will be provided to broadcasters on request. For exclusivity please ask here.

We're trying to raise £900 towards the video production costs

We need your help. Whether it's £3 or £30,000, donations all make a difference to what we can achieve. In this case we need £900 to pay for the post-event video, as well as some short clips for use on social media. Some readers have already kindly donated but we still need a further £410. Please help us if you can. Thank you so much.

Cross-Party Support

Big names from the TUV, Reform UK, Conservatives, Labour and the DUP are co-sponsoring the Bill that Jim Allister KC MP has put before the House, to be debated at second reading just five days after our event this morning (Sunday, 01 Dec 2024).

Jim Allister KC MP (TUV), Nigel Farage MP (Reform), the Rt Hon Sir Iain Duncan Smith MP (Cons), Richard Tice MP (Reform), Graham Stringer MP (Lab), and the Rt Hon Sammy Wilson MP (DUP)

Jim Allister summarises our build-up to this event

"Facts4EU have previously and expertly summarised my Private Member's Bill to correct the injustices under which part of the United Kingdom population now live, due to the unreasonable nature of the demands made by the EU Commission which have resulted in the EU's 'Northern Ireland Protocol' and subsequent 'Windsor Framework'. It is essential that this reach a wide audience and I acknowledge and appreciate Facts4EU's efforts in this regard."

- Jim Allister MP, commenting to Facts4EU.Org and CIBUK.Org

Observations

As readers will understand, it has taken the Facts4EU team a great deal of work to put this event together. We very much hope that all of you who believe in nationhood, sovereignty, and democracy will join us this morning.

Facebook banned on our post promoting the event. It would be good to show Nick Clegg (Facebook’s 'Vice-President of Global Affairs and Communications') and his team that we ‘ordinary people’ do care about these fundamental issues.

The Facts4EU.Org site and its activities such as conferences, TV & video interviews, forums, etc, are :-

  • Advert-free : no annoying distractions or ‘pop-ups’
  • Paywall-free : Reading our news and reports does not require you to sign up and pay
  • Merchandising-free : We don’t try to sell you t-shirts or coffee mugs advertising us
  • Sponsorship-free : No corporate sponsorship funds our reports – we’re independent
  • We’re funded by donations from you – the public

The content :-

  • Unique, original, well-researched reports
  • No ‘re-hashing’ of articles you’ll read elsewhere
  • Based on official data, statements and reports, analysed by us
  • Transparent sources : Whether it’s the EU Commission, the ONS, or the IMF, we state where we obtained our data
  • We rely solely on donations from you – the public - to keep us going

NOTICE : Facts4EU has now scaled back to publishing 5 days-a-week

For nine years we have worked seven days-a-week. As far as we are aware we are the only organisation of our type to have done this. We are grateful to those of our readers who have made donations but sadly the level of our funding is now such that we must make it stretch for as long as we can. This means team members taking other paid work and reducing our output to five days-a-week.

Please, please help us to carry on our vital work in defence of independence, sovereignty, democracy and freedom by donating today. Thank you.

Politicians and journalists can contact us for more details, as ever.
