“Will no-one rid us of this troublesome priest?”

The Archbishop of Canterbury is ‘Well by’ his ‘Sell by’ date

A Facts4EU opinion piece about the Head of the Church of England

The leader of the Anglican faith should stay out of politics, or step down. In 1170 AD, King Henry II is reported to have asked “Will no-one rid me of this troublesome priest?” in relation to the then Archbishop of Canterbury, St Thomas Becket. Four of His Majesty’s knights duly obliged and Becket departed this mortal coil just before the year was out.

For the avoidance of doubt, NO-ONE is advocating such action against the current Archbishop.

Yesterday in the House of Lords, the current incumbent in Lambeth Palace holding the position of Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby, felt emboldened to hold forth on the subject of the Government’s Illegal Migration Bill, which has already been approved in the Commons.

Below we ask if Welby is past his Sell-By date and suggest a way he could prevent his parishioners across the country from bearing the brunt of illegal migration.

This Bill has already been passed by the country’s elected representatives

Yesterday Justin Welby weighed into politics in a way we consider to be wholly unacceptable for a man of the cloth. He was “speaking to” (ghastly American management consultancy speak) the Illegal Migration Bill, which passed its third reading in the House of Commons by 289 to 230: a majority of 59.

This Bill is designed to address the crisis of the rapidly-growing number of illegal migrants entering the UK from France, using the services of people trafficking gangs.

What Welby said

The BBC has a £3.7 BILLION budget this year
The UK’s Rejoiner-Globalists have received over £3.5m in foreign funding

Let the Archbishop house the illegal migrants – here’s how

Justin Welby’s home is in the beautiful Lambeth Palace, a glorious building across the Thames from the House of Lords where he spoke yesterday. It sits on more than 10 acres of lovely gardens.

The Palace comprises a large number of buildings including Morton’s Tower, the Crypt Chapel, the main Chapel, the Guard Room, the Great Hall, the Atrium, the State Drawing Room, Cranmer’s Study, the Fig Tree building, the Lollard’s Prison, and a great number of smaller rooms.

All-in-all, with that spectacular estate the Archbishop should be able to house all the 138,000 asylum seekers on the Home Office’s backlog of claims, albeit possibly with the use of some double-stacked portacabins covering the gardens. Then, as the numbers this year continue to rise, he could make use of all the vicarages the Church of England owns around the country.

After all, as the Archbishop told us all yesterday : “Jesus calls us to welcome the stranger.” Compassion begins at home, Archbishop Welby. Perhaps you might practice what you preach.

Observations

We must get reports like this out there

Reports like the one above take far longer to research, write and produce than many people realise. If they were easy, readers would see other organisations also producing these daily. However, there’s little point in the Facts4EU.Org team working long hours, seven days-a-week, if we lack the resources to promote them effectively – to the public, to MPs, and to the media. This is where you come in, dear reader.
