Brexit Facts4EU.Org reveals the official facts, and they’re positive for the United Kingdom

On Thursday (25 May 2023) the German statistical office released its latest figures for economic growth – or rather decline. Germany – the EU’s economic powerhouse and its No.1 economy by far - has entered recession. By contrast, two weeks earlier the UK’s Office for National Statistics released its figures for UK economic growth – no recession.

Not only that, but as we reported on Wednesday the IMF was forced to revise its growth forecast upwards by 0.7%, after only six weeks since it projected the UK would be the most sluggish economy in the G7.

Given the Rejoiner doom-mongerers’ constant false propaganda about Brexit Britain, Facts4EU felt it only right to give readers the cold, hard facts. The UK economy is still growing. Germany’s economy is contracting.

Brexit Facts4EU.Org Summary

Economic growth in the last six months – Germany versus the UK

  • Germany Q4 2022 : -0.5%
  • UK Q4 2022 : +0.1%
  • Germany Q1 2023 : -0.3%
  • UK Q1 2023 : +0.1%

What each statistics office said

To quote the UK’s ONS :

“In Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2023, there were increases in all main sectors where services output and production output both increased.”

And to quote Ruth Brand in Wiesbaden yesterday, the President of the German Federal Statistical Office stated :

“After GDP growth entered negative territory at the end of 2022, the German economy has now recorded two consecutive negative quarters.”

This is the technical definition of a country being in recession.

The German economy is now 0.5% smaller compared to the same quarter a year earlier (price and calendar adjusted).

Observations

We have no desire to see the economy of our German friends in trouble. The reason for our report is because of our Rejoiner friends in the United Kingdom. These British fifth columnists simply don’t want the public to know the facts.

They talk of forecasts from totally discredited organisations such as the IMF, the OECD, the OBR and the Treasury. What they conspicuously fail to do is quote facts. The facts defeat them every time, which is why we keep churning them out.

If you care about the truth getting out there, please, please help us to keep going.

We must get reports like this out there

Reports like the one above take far longer to research, write and produce than many people realise. If they were easy, readers would see other organisations also producing these daily. However, there’s little point in the Facts4EU.Org team working long hours, seven days-a-week, if we lack the resources to promote them effectively – to the public, to MPs, and to the media. This is where you come in, dear reader.

Facts4EU.Org needs you today

We are a 'not for profit' team (we make a loss) and any payment goes towards the actual work, not plush London offices, lunch or taxi expenses, or other luxuries of some organisations.

We badly need more of our thousands of readers to become members, to support this work. Could this be you, today? It's quick and easy, we give you a choice of two highly secure payment providers, and we do NOT ask you for further support if you pay once. We just hope you keep supporting us. Your membership stays anonymous unless you tell us otherwise.

Please don't assume that other people will keep us going - we don't receive enough to survive and we need your help today. Could you help us? We rely 100% on public contributions from readers like you.
