Last week ‘The European Movement’ announced the election of a new Chairman, following the retirement of Lord (Andrew) Adonis on 14 December 2022. The new man in charge made an unequivocal statement on his election, which we reproduce below.

The European Movement states it is “the only organisation with the courage to expose the calamity of Brexit and win the Battle for the Soul of our Country.” It is extremist in its views and very short on facts. That said, it is extremely well-funded by foreign foundations and it has refused to accept the result of the largest democratic vote in British history.

The Rejoiners’ war chest is growing all the time - £3m+ and counting

The incoming Chairman of the European Movement, Mike Galsworthy, is very clear he wants to expand the Rejoin campaign across the board. This involves hundreds of new local associations, a mass PR initiative involving TV, radio and social media, a renewed campaign to convert the UK’s youth, and even a glossy new film.

Money is no object in the pursuit of this plan to overturn Brexit. Below we show the results of our research last year into the funding of anti-Brexit organisations by foreign foundations.

In addition we can now reveal that a new documentary film called ‘Brexit Documentary’ is in preparation. This involves BylineTV+ and features Mike Galsworthy. They have already raised an astonishing £97,398.03 for this project.

Over £3.5 million in foreign funding received by Rejoiner organisations

One international organisation, known as ‘The Open Society Foundations’ (OSF), was founded by foreign multi-billionaire George Soros, who made a great deal of money betting against sterling.

Their website states they are :-

“the world’s largest private funder of independent groups working for justice, democratic governance, and human rights.”

From 2016 to 2021 George Soros’s OSF donated more than £3.5 million to UK groups dedicated to overturning the largest democratic vote in the United Kingdom’s history.

The new Chairman of the ‘European Movement’

In his 47 years the incoming Chairman of the European Movement, Mike Galsworthy, has been an academic, a researcher, and a political campaigner against Brexit. Here is his statement on being elected last week :-

Observations

Sorry, but this must be said. All campaigning pro-Brexit groups (including Brexit Facts4EU.Org) are rank amateurs in fund-raising compared to the organisations lined up against us. These Rejoiners have the money, the staff, the premises, the resources, the BBC, and the Establishment ‘Blob’ on their side.

Well, we would like to put this right. We want to take on the whole rejoinery-wokery-globalist Establishment and campaign for the views of ordinary people across the entire country (including Northern Ireland) who simply don’t want this nonsense foisted upon us.

We are currently in discussions with CIBUK, (of which we are one of 15 affiliated organisations), looking at ways to stand up to those who would make us all subservient to Brussels and to the other globalist institutions. We know we will not get the millions of pounds from foreign foundations but there are a great many ordinary people who will do their bit if they have an organisation to get behind.

You are an idiot if you think that people will vote for this, All you are telling us is why Join is not going to happen. All we have to do is quote *you* telling us what joining the EU will be like, and it will never happen.

Two immediate concerns, The UK Govt hasn't produced an impact assessment yet. And Liz Truss started the discussions re CPTTP, which should in itself sound alarm bells.

The OBR didn't say that GDP is down 4%.
They said that GDP will be down 4% in 15 years.
But that's just an opinion based on flawed data.
They are making a comparison with something that doesn't exist.
Perhaps you could persuade Dr. Strange to go to 14 million futures in order to bring back a definitive analysis of what would have happened had we remained in.

The OBR also said we would have the lowest GDP growth in G7 over the last two years when we've had the highest.
They can't predict 6 months, never mind 15 years

Habeas Corpus would apply only until it comes into conflict with the EU's Corpus Juris, at which point EU law would have primacy.
If the EU becomes one unitary nation then it will be policed by ONE police force, more akin to a militia than a police force.

12. Sparky , "That's the point"? No, as usual when you get cornered you just throw out some random remark and pretend you've made a point. You haven't. If people will not vote for entering the EU, then there is only one alternative. The Govt of the day would have to take the UK into the EU on worse terms than we already have out of it. No Party is going to do that. They would have to have such a proposal in their Manifesto, and if the voters won't vote for it, they won't.
EU membership isn't inevitable. There has to be some concrete advantage. And you say yourself that there is not.

Having read what Jose Gabriel Palma said in relation to TP-11 CPTPP (No to TPP-11! Chile’s battle for sovereignty) he actually doesn't say how it infringes but only give hypotheticals about pressure to change laws or talks about adhoc tribunals for ISDS

But in regard to UKGov and accession to CPTPP and a impact assessment i suggest you read" CPTPP: The UK’s Strategic Approach" and its accompanying document "Technical annexes for the Scoping Assessment for UK accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacifc Partnership (CPTPP)"
Why would it sound alarm bells because Liz Truss started the process as the International Trade Secretary
