Our fishermen have been sold down the river by Theresa May. This is one of many reasons why decent MPs had to vote against her constitutional abomination of a ‘Withdrawal Agreement’.

Tomorrow you can show your support for the nation’s fishermen. We know it’s a big ask for our readers from across the country. However tomorrow some of our fishermen are travelling to London to walk alongside a lorry carrying a trawler, to protest against the betrayal of Brexit.

We back Fishing for Leave and have consistently promoted their events when few others did. Please help to promote this on Twitter and Facebook and any other means you have.

Unlike many people, fishermen’s livelihoods are at stake as a result of Theresa May’s disastrous surrender treaty. They could do with your support. Our fishermen are an iconic force in the Brexit debate. Let’s back them all the way.

We spoke to Fishing for Leave organiser Aaron Brown, who told us

“Theresa May's 'deal' is nothing but a death sentence to British fishing and coastal communities. The terms are an existential threat to fishing and a total betrayal of Brexit and Britain.
“This is our last chance to bludgeon MPs to stop this surrender of Britain, Brexit and one of our country’s greatest renewable resources. One which can support a world leading £6-8bn industry that will support generations to come in coastal communities.”

I will be there (again) tomorrow. The one thing that you notice from the people from all the various groups, despite those whose seniors refuse to join an alliance, is that we are all united. Come along. A friendlier & peaceful bunch of people you couldn't hope to meet. There is nothing to fear, as I discovered when I nervously joined an A50 demo - the first time that I'd ever done such a thing in my life. I've met 86 year old pensioners who have difficulty walking stand to be counted amongst many others. Stand up for democracy and leaving the EU.
Let's hope Sir Bill's challenge is accepted. The silence from the AG and remainstream media indicates that he is right.

I wish I could be there, especially with the fisherfolk. I hate the way they have been treated over the years, and I don't want to see them cast aside again.
My only worry is that certain third parties may try to cause trouble to get negative publicity all over the MSM. I sincerely hope my fears are unfounded and everyone has a great day out supporting what they believe in.

I wish I could be there....lets hope the Guardian, the BBC etc count the people attending and the number of boats using the same methods for establishing the "up to a million" participants for the "Peoples Vote" march at the weekend - there will be thousands of boats!

Not4EU,London - I will be there along with 17 other 'Kippers'. The real 'abomination' is Theresa May who is a deranged psychopath and a pathological liar and this is reflected in her abominable deal. Our once wonderful fishing industry was the first big casualty on the sacrificial altar of the monstrous EU Federalist project, courtesy of the odious Ted Heath.
I wish our hardworking fisherman well and will be rooting for them and hoping that our escape will herald a brighter future for them, as well as the rest of us.
Sir William Cash is challenging the legality of the 'extension' and I am praying that this will gain traction and be our salvation.

To all UK fishermen and those involved with the industry, I cannot get to you today, but please know I will be with you 'in spirit' and you have MY FULL SUPPORT.
Younger generations need to understand how much the EU decimated our once thriving fishing industry. Good luck for today. Seems to me the SNP don't stand up for fishermen. The SNP have a one-track mindset where they only think of independence, yet they don't want the rest of the country to be independent. The SNP have a deluded fantasy they can be independent in the EU, which of course they can't.
