BBC's coverage of President Trump’s visit is a national disgrace

Do they know the USA buys more from the UK than any other country?

Do they know that the USA is our foremost ally?

Do they know what journalism means any more?

The Brexit Facts4EU.Org team focus on the EU and the UK’s membership of it. Occasionally we feel compelled to comment on matters which are related, but not perhaps our core focus. This is one of those times.

The BBC’s coverage of the visit of the President of the United States of America yesterday was nothing short of a national disgrace. It is not our job to teach BBC news editors and presenters about impartial journalism, but yesterday’s coverage was so far removed from this that we wouldn’t know where to start.

We are overtly not impartial in the Brexit debate. We present official facts to counter the overwhelming anti-Brexit bias of the broadcast media and the Establishment.

Duty of impartiality

The BBC is supposed to be impartial. Their coverage of President Trump’s visit yesterday strayed so far from their obligations that nothing we could say would make any difference. We could dissect their coverage hour by hour – but to what purpose? These people truly don’t realise how bad they are.

Instead we will simply reiterate our sad conclusion from last year, that BBC News and Current Affairs must be disbanded. No amount of tinkering will help. Only a “start again from scratch” approach could possibly work.

The USA is the UK’s biggest customer

Total trade between the UK and USA was worth £184 billion in the year ending Q3 2018 (ONS). The US is also the single biggest source of inward investment into the UK.

The USA is our biggest customer. In 2017 we exported £48.6bn worth of goods to the USA, compared to Germany on £37.3bn.

Crucially, we also run a trade surplus with the USA, whereas the EU sells far more to us than we sell to them.

I agree with the above article where "the BBC is supposed to be impartial".
As an aside to the above, our National Broadcaster should be wholly called out for failing in its "Duty of impartiality".
WHY do they fail I hear everyone ask - you need only view this short video of Speaker Bercow, and then wonder why he has not been held to account? Perhaps remain MPs should include this on their own websites?

President Trump speaks the language of peace and friendship to the UK.
The EU speaks the language of scorn and derision.
I chose not to watch/listen to the BBC 's coverage yesterday, instead I listened to the bigots Sadiq Khan and Emily Thornberry on Sky, saying it's ok to tell your friends (the USA) that their President is not welcome here.
Roll on Peterborough, the next step in the fight back for our democracy.

When we have left the EU and dismantled our equally corrupt Establishment and Parliament, perhaps we can turn our attention to ridding ourselves of this vile Corporation - they bring broadcasting into serious disrepute.
The Muslim Mayor of London, the worst Mayor EVER, has also brought his office into disrepute, is abusing his positon and power and while London is swimming in blood from unprecentend knife crime under his watch, is inciting and endorsing hatred amongst equally left wing zealots towards one of our best allys, the democratically elected President of the United States. Along with Patrick, I also purposely chose not to give the BBC any of my attention yesterday. The only reason I have not yet dumped my licence subscription (won't be long now, though) is so I can review and comment upon their extremely biased political coverage and continue my personal campaign against them! But, hey, it was a lovely sunny day and there's a limit to what even I can take from them without a much-needed break now & then.
As for Trump, I very much hope he wins another term in office. There may be much about the man himself I don't particularly like, but he's a true patriot for his country and a friend to Britain / some of our future potential PMs (politically motivated though much of this may be), and that's something we cannot honestly say about *any* significant political leader in Europe.
And Trump certainly also doesn't like Sadiq Khan very much, so that's a definite plus in his favour!

Channel 4 are just as bad. Last night we had a diatribe about the infamous chlorinated chicken. Chlorinated salad good chlorinated chicken double plus bad. Perfectly timed for the President's visit.
Somehow a metropolitan elite clique has taken over our TV news media.
Any pretence of balance went out the window after the referendum.
