One of the things which has pleasantly surprised us in the last three years is the indefatigability of so many people who voted to leave the European Union in 2016.

Since the British people voted to leave the EU, we have all been subjected to an onslaught from an outraged Establishment. This started almost immediately, with a legal challenge by Gina Miller, and it continues to this day.

This week, Labour will decide what should appear on its EU Elections leaflets, with a ‘second / confirmatory / People’s (Losers)’ vote being pressed hard by the more anti-democratic elements of the party.

“Oh no, not again?”

It would be so easy to give in to the sheer fatigue of fighting for the simple right to have our vote respected, as was promised by almost every Remain MP we can think of.

Instead, let’s re-inspire ourselves by remembering what we all took on, back in 2016. Below is a list of the Remain forces which were lined up against us.

(And, for our international readers, this really was the case. It was wall-to-wall brainwashing by the elites.)

THE PRO-EU ARMY

This is only an indicative list and we're sure that readers could add to it in every way. But it will suffice as a reminder of the sheer scale of Establishment opposition to a Leave vote.

UK Governments & Political Parties

The UK Government, Scottish Government, Welsh Government, Labour Party, Lib Dems, Scottish National Party, Greens, Plaid Cymru, Ulster Unionists, Sinn Fein, SDLP, Alliance Party

Ministers

The Prime Minister, Chancellor, Foreign Secretary, Home Secretary, Defence Secretary, and 19 other Cabinet Ministers (80% of Cabinet in total)

Brainwashing on an epic scale

The above are merely some examples of the machine that was lined up against readers who campaigned to Leave.

By the spring of 2016, the project to brainwash the British people was in full swing. At its peak it was awe-inspiring in its scope, breadth and depth. It took in every aspect of human life in the United Kingdom and subjected it to varying degrees of pressure, from subtleties to outright intimidation.

Piece by piece, the massed ranks of government, political parties, banks, business, unions, science, education, sport, charities, TV, press, celebrities, actors, artists & musicians, religions, international organisations and world leaders were all assembled. It’s not an exaggeration to describe this as having been a David against Goliath contest, only in this case the most notable 'David' (Cameron) was on the side of Remain and was in fact one of the big, bad guys.

The government versus the people

It was impossible to miss that the Remain campaign was government-backed, and for weeks the government pointed out on a daily basis that Leave had virtually no ‘experts’ nor major organisations on their side. This was compounded with dire threats of immediate recessions and emergency budgets, massive job losses, property crashes, losing £4300 per family, and almost anything else Remain could think of, including the possibility of a third world war.

The government also invested heavily in a pro-Remain leaflet sent to every house in the country and spent significantly online too.

Brexit Facts4EU.org Summary

Remain outspent Leave by over 2 to 1
The government used £9.3m of public money to promote its propaganda
Almost £3m of the expenditure was for the internet and 'online promotion'
If anyone tried to ‘buy’ this result, it was Remain

A key factor was that this mass-propaganda had the authority of the Government. It dissuaded a large number of ordinary voters whose natural inclination would otherwise have been to vote Leave. It tried to make Remain the 'intelligent' choice, and Leave was presented as the choice for losers.

Observations

In a democracy the opinion that matters is that of the electorate, not the ‘elitorate’.

For the ordinary people of the United Kingdom to reject the state-sponsored attempt at brainwashing - including monstrous claims of dire consequences - and to vote for the opposite, was nothing short of a magnificent triumph for democracy.

It’s our contention that the final majority of 52% would have been far higher, had people not been quite understandably dissuaded from voting Leave by the disproportionately-powerful propaganda campaign by the Government and institutions.

We salute all readers who continue to believe in democracy, and who will never allow themselves to be defeated.

It is a disgraceful stain on the history of our country and democracy that the people who voted to leave, by 8% more votes than remain, are still having to demonstrate & fight for that result to be implemented nearly 3 years later.
When a democratic country refuses to implement a democratic decision, it ceases to be a democracy. This is where we now seem to be.
They thought (& still think) that it will all go back to 'normal' if they can overturn democracy & ignore the Constitution 'just this once'. Not that I expect it from our remainstream propaganda media but, no-one is asking the anti-democrats what their version of 'remain', if they succeed in overturning the democratic mandate & hobbling us to the expensive & decomposing corpse of the EU, really means for the future.
Both main parties are selecting pro-EU candidates for the 'EU Parliamentary elections'. Both parties will present any vote as support for their remain (in true terms) stances. They will do the same at the locals. Of course, there will be a different voter base for both local & EU elections as to national voting which will skew the results. Some Councillors have written pleading letters to constituents, but still insist on standing under the Quizling party banners, unwilling to stand as independent. I think that there's a good argument there for banishing 'party' politics totally at the local level & all must be independent.

It's already a classic to watch the BBC reporting on the referendum result on the night of the 23rd/24th June 2016. How can we forget their smugness slowly but surely melting away as they realised the result was not going to be what they expected? It took a little time for them to take it all in.
Remember Tusk with his shaky voice squeaking in disbelief? And Juncker later coming out with the famous hostile statement of 'this is not going to be an amicable divorce'?
What a carnival we stirred up by voting leave!

Yes but now with Labour hankering for a second referendum doesn't this just smack of utter betrayal?
There is precedent for this, the Dutch, French and Irish all had to vote again because they voted 'incorrectly'. I hope the British do not accept this stupidity.

There can be no progress for the foreseeable future. The talks between Government and the Labour Party are at stalemate.
To make matters worse the Trade Unions are directing Labour policy in demanding another referendum. It is nor clear on the purpose of the referendum.
Is it that a second referendum should only be held to stop a 'Tory Brexit" or the UK leaving without a deal', or as a confirmatory ballot to a Labour/Tory agreement, even that they want a second referendum regardless.

'It's an ill wind that blows no one any good,' as the saying goes. If we hadn't suffered and witnessed the traitorous behaviours and outright lying of our politicians, people we were led to believe were honourable and loyal to our great Nation, they would still be keeping us in the dark about our eventual total loss of Democracy. It's been so revealing that now we see clearly the way ahead lies in voting out the current Establishment of the three main political Parties at Westminster. The wind will be blowing in a whole new agenda, and a Prime Minister who is loyal to the majority demand that we leave the EU. One year was too long to wait, let alone an extension by PM May beyond March 29th 2019 making it soon a three years' wait!
