 GLASS OF BUBBLY,
PRIME MINISTER?
THERESA MAY ATTENDS OPENING
OF TORY PARY CONFERENCE

TORY CONFERENCE DELEGATES WILL CONTRIBUTE
TO UK’s HUGE SHARE OF FRENCH CHAMPAGNE EXPORTS
As the Prime Minister attends the Tory Party Conference today and during the coming days, she will doubtless be offered more than one glass of champagne.
This article is a sparkling reminder of how her supine and supplicant approach to Brexit negotiations with the EU is at odds with reality.
Here we have picked one of the EU's protected areas of business, to demonstrate the sheer power of the UK's world position.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
GUIDE TO CHAMPAGNE IN FACTS & FIGURES
  • French champagne market was worth almost €5 billion last year
  • The UK accounted for 36.3% of France's champagne exports within EU
  • The UK bought more champagne than any EU country
  • The UK also bought more bottles of champagne than any country outside the EU
TO THE FRENCH, WINE MATTERS
For the French wine industry, champagne is king in so many ways. Constituting just 4% of France’s total vineyard area, the areas comprising the champagne appellation account for 20% of France's turnover of wines. And when it comes to sparkling wines, champagne represents a very frothy 91% of the total value of all wine sales.
Critically with exports, the French wine and spirits sector overall accounts for a very significant €12 billion in France's export turnover. Champagne is the second-most important contributor to the French surplus in trade.
“The Champagne AOC, symbol of quality, success and celebration, represents an unfathomable Legacy of priceless value. Champagne is the emblematic figure of France worldwide : the Champenois have been protecting their common treasure for more than 150 years.”
- Comité Champagne
BREXIT BRITAIN DOMINATES FRANCE'S CHAMPAGNE EXPORTS IN THE EU
Unluckily for France, the UK buys more bottles of champagne than any other country in the EU - by a long way.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
As you can see, the UK is responsible for 36.3% of all bottle of champagne bought in the EU. The French shipped 27.8 million bottles to us last year. That's almost as many as the next three biggest buyers in the EU put together.
AND THE UK BUYS MORE BOTTLES OF CHAMPAGNE THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD
Not only is the UK the biggest buyer of champagne in the EU, we buy more bottles than any other country in the World.
We even buy more than the USA, despite having only one-fifth of that country's population.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
The volume of champagne sales to the UK is absolutely key to the French, without which prices could fall and the whole French agri-food business could be severely impacted.
OBSERVATIONS
"GLASS OF CHAMPERS, ANYONE?"
As part of the Conservative Party's official guide to attending their conference today, there appears the following advice:
"Or head to Malmaison, nicknamed 'The Champagne Bar of Birmingham',
for a great glass of fizz."
We hasten to point out that this is not offered as a more palatable alternative to a conference speech by Theresa May, still trying to pretend that her Chequers plan delivers Brexit. No, this is part of a general guide to the bars and clubs of Birmingham, where conference delegates might want to relax in the evenings.
The advice does however highlight one of the EU's many thousands of 'Geographical Indications', which in this case is the Champagne region of France.
As the EU itself says: “the market for EU geographical indications is around €54.3 billion”. Needless to say, the UK has remarkably few of these protections from the EU. France does rather better of course.
THIS ARTICLE ISN'T REALLY ABOUT CHAMPAGNE
We would like to point out that this article is not really about champagne.
That said, if were a French champagne house, we might currently be a little worried. There is no sign of a trade deal between the UK and the EU, and the prospects of tariffs placed on French champagne is enough to make the average chateau owner want to pick up the phone to the Elysée Palace.
But this is not about champagne, as we said. It's about strength and assertiveness.
CAN WE PLEASE HAVE "STRONG AND ABLE"?
Since negotiations began we have been urging the British government to stop acting like the supplicant and start acting tough. We note that in an interview with David Davis in today's Daily Telegraph, he makes a similar point. Sorry Mr Davis, but this is far too little and far too late. Why didn't you follow your own advice two years ago? And if Theresa May wouldn't allow you to do this, why didn't you quit then?
The simple fact is that the current British Prime Minister is not fit for purpose. Readers only have to watch her cringe-making performances on foreign trips to see her weak and apologetic behaviour.
The United Kingdom needs a leader who can stand strong on the EU and world stage, a leader who understands where the world's fifth-largest economy sits. A leader who understands the ideological EU mindset and can deal with them accordingly. A leader who has a bold vision for a bright post-Brexit future.
That's what we need. But that's the opposite of what we have. Tory MPs must act urgently to put this right.
LET'S END WITH A TOAST TO BRITISH WINEMAKERS
We found 60 English vineyards producing sparkling wine during a quick search of the English Wine Producers website. No doubt more exist in other parts of the Kingdom. As one producer said in 2016:
"Leaving the EU is a great opportunity for the English wine industry to reduce duty and encourage more home-grown sales.”
We’ll raise our glasses to that.

Message: The UK produces some excellent sparkling white wines, as do the Italians. The French champagne producers will certainly take a hit when the UK leaves the EU. Welcome to competition in the sparkling white wine sector. After all the UK and Italy aren't allowed to call sparkling white wine, champagne, but they can compete on price and taste. Let's see how the French fair with proper competition in that sector of the wine market.

CUSTOMS UNION?
© EU Commission
IT'S OFFICIAL:
UK IS BIGGEST LOSER IN EU
FROM EU TRADE
EU CONFIRMS THAT UK BENEFITS LEAST
FROM SINGLE MARKET AND CUSTOMS UNION
WHERE ARE THE ECONOMIC BENEFITS?
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org analysed the latest EU28 trade figures for the 12 months to June 2018.
They show the UK is bottom of the list when it comes to benefiting from trading with the EU, out of all the 28 member states.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
HOW THE UK DOES, OUT OF TRADING WITH THE EU
  • The UK is the biggest net loser from the Single Market & Customs Union
  • The UK comes 28th out of 28 member states
  • UK's trade deficit with the Single Market was £96.6 billion, in year to June 2018
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org analysed the figures from the EU’s official statistics agency and looked at the balance of trade the UK ‘enjoys’ with the rest of the EU.
Above we have shown, exclusively, how badly the UK is doing out of its membership of the Single Market and Customs Union.
WHAT IS THE 'BALANCE OF TRADE'?
The balance of trade is the difference between the amount of a country’s exports, minus the amount of their imports. 'Trade' is normally quoted as the trade in goods, so this is what we have used. It is particularly relevant given that Theresa May’s Chequers Plan proposes that the UK effectively stays in the Single Market for goods.
As readers can see, not only is the UK in last place in terms of benefiting from being a member of the Single Market, but it is in effect the largest net loser from the trade between the EU’s member states.
OBSERVATIONS
How often have you heard from Remainer MPs that membership of the Single Market is essential for jobs and the economy?
Typically these statements come from lawyer-MPs such as Chuka Umunna, Dominic Grieve, Anna Soubry, et al. These are people who have never had to dirty their hands with the essential business of competing on the world stage, selling goods or services, and generating wealth for the UK.
We have.
CHALLENGING THE REMAINER MYTHS
Regrettably the vast majority of TV presenters haven’t got a clue about trade either, so are unable to put these Remoaner MPs on the spot when they make their claims. In most cases of course, the presenters are anti-Brexit in any case.
Facts like the ones we have presented above are not hard to understand. We would also like to think they are fairly fundamental.
Here’s a sound-bite for our Brexiteer MPs and for all you pro-Brexit campaigners out there.
Trade in the Single Market costs the UK a deficit just shy of £100bn per year
The UK is the biggest net loser from trade in the Single Market, out of the 28
Recently we showed how the UK's average annual growth has fallen since the start of the Single Market. In an attempt to stop Remoaners from claiming we had used statistics selectively, we used the 25 years before the Single Market started, and the 25 years since. That's a total of 50 years.
We thought that would be a long enough period to silence Remoaners. It wasn't. They still tried to quote their own selective statistics, citing just 2 or 3 years.
We therefore make no apology for labouring these points about the Single Market and Customs Union. These messages need to get out there to the general public. If we don't get them out there, all the public will hear are 'world trade experts' like Dominic Grieve or Anna Soubry (or Chuka Umunna and Sir Keir Starmer for Labour) telling them that the EU is essential for trade and jobs.
(Given that the four individuals we just mentioned are all lawyers, you might think they would have some respect for evidence, but it seems this doesn't trouble them.)
We continue to believe that the most important arguments for leaving the EU are about sovereignty, democracy, and nationhood, but it doesn't hurt to counter the ignorance of Remainer MPs from time to time.
Please support our work if you can. We really do have an influence on the debate, even if our work is not often credited.

Statistical note: Clearly some results above are bizarre. For example the results for the Netherlands demonstrate the incongruity of the EU failing to report how so much of that country's imports and exports merely transit the country as a result of the use of its major ports. Belgium's figures are similarly flattered.

Message: I'm sure the net contribution we make of £8 billion to the EU is worth every penny look at all the jobs and trade we get for our investment. These figures are the reason why the EU is desperate to keep the UK inside their block. When we leave they will have to look elsewhere for their markets. Outside the EU after we leave, the UK doesn't pay £8 billion fee to buy goods from other EU countries. We can make them ourselves, we import the qualified labour we need from anywhere throughout the world. We don't have to take unskilled labour from 27 other countries. These official EU trade figures Facts4EU have produced prove that the Single market is not the holy grail that Remainers claim. Just another fact why the UK must leave this block.

Message: It's intriguing that Holland benefits more than Germany - presumably that's due to the trade going trough the Dutch ports, but doesn't that trade also have an effect on the UK statistics? It would be interesting to see the figures with the 'gateway' trade stripped out.
Reply: Spot on. We commented on this at the bottom of the article. Trade figures for both Holland Belgium are grossly distorted. This also affects UK exports which notionally go to 'the EU' but in fact are simply trans-shipped out of Dutch or Belgian ports. We've done serious work on this in previous articles in the last few years. There is NO definitive and official data, and we believe this is because no-one wants you to know how much of UK exporting to the EU is in fact to the rest of the world.
AN IMPORTANT DISCOVERY
RESULTS OF LONG-TERM PROJECT BY FACTS4EU.ORG TEAM REVEAL
FACTS DON'T RESEARCH AND WRITE THEMSELVES
The latest pieces of work from the Brexit Facts4EU.Org team have been met with a variety of reactions from world leaders, ranging from celebration to incredulity to resignation to abuse.
Alas none of us are hedge fund managers... or married to one. The Team (and one member in particular) has donated as much as it can. Can you please help fund our work?
Unlike many Brexit websites, we write our own content and create our own graphs, by researching deeply into official UK and EU official sources. Unfortunately we barely make it from one week to the next and we rely 100% on voluntary contributions - small or big.
We really could use your help in working for a clean and true Brexit.

 THE BORIS BREXIT MANIFESTO
‘What Theresa did...
... What Boris would do next.’
ANALYSIS AND OPINION ON KEY BORIS JOHNSON ARTICLE TODAY
In today’s Daily Telegraph, Boris Johnson has written a devastating critique of the May government’s handling of Brexit, and has suggested a way forward. It is entitled “My plan for a better Brexit”.
This is not just a regular weekly article from Boris. This one is special. If you have a Daily Telegraph subscription we commend the article to you.
Hidden behind the ubiquitous paywall, he sets out the fundamental and avoidable errors that have been made by the government and civil service – all of which Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org has pointed out and criticised since the beginning. In broad terms he then describes the approach that should now be taken, given ‘where we are now’.
For the most part Mr Johnson’s piece lacks the peppering of shock turns of phrase, usually and elegantly wielded to attract maximum attention, and is all the better for it. Instead he sets out why we’re in this mess and his proposal for getting out of it as quickly as possible.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
THE BORIS PLAN
  • Chuck Chequers now
  • Drop the N.I. backstop
  • Revert to electronic/online border solution for N.I. border, as proposed before EU/Eire games
  • Revised Withdrawal Agreement
  • This to go with new political agreement to negotiate SuperCanada deal by end of transition
  • Immediately develop border infrastructure, and trade and immigration policies
  • Actively prepare for ‘no deal’ in 2019, in case talks break down
  • Full speed ahead on trade deals and normal WTO arrangements from March 2019
A KEY PASSAGE
For the many readers who are unable to read Boris’ paywalled article, below is a flavour. We hope this key passage gives you an idea of the whole.
Extract from Boris' article
“The net result of two years’ negotiation has been to guarantee EU citizens’ rights – which could and should have been done on day one unilaterally; to pay over £40bn for nothing in return; and to negotiate a transition period by which the UK would effectively remain in the EU for another two years and under the most humiliating terms, with no say on laws or taxes this country would have to obey.
“And if for some reason the negotiations on the future trade agreement break down altogether we have additionally agreed to remain in the customs union indefinitely, for the sake of the Irish border – so making Brexit meaningless.
“That is a pretty invertebrate performance. There has been a collective failure of government, and a collapse of will by the British establishment, to deliver on the mandate of the people.
“It is true that the EU has conducted the negotiations as though dealing with an adversary rather than a friendly country that simply wants to govern itself. But it is the UK’s supine posture that has enabled the EU to get away with it.”
WHO COMMITTED THIS CRIME?
Before looking at the Prime Minister, it should be pointed out that Boris held one of the most senior offices of state in the May government during most of the time that this shambles unfolded. If blazing rows took place on a regular basis in cabinet meetings, no-one appears to have heard about them.
To this day we have supposedly pro-Brexit ministers still sitting there, supporting the insupportable Chequers. We even have new ones, such as Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab. The triumph of self over country has never been more stark.
‘ONE RULER TO RULE THEM ALL’
The one overriding omission of the former Foreign Secretary’s analysis is the overall responsibility of the Prime Minister for the debacle and the need to replace her in order to set the UK back on the right path. In over 4,500 words, the implication is clear but the evocation is absent.
The country requires clear leadership to take Brexit forward on the basis on which the majority of the British people gave their instruction in the “People’s Vote 2016”, otherwise known as the EU Referendum.
True leadership can transform the landscape. Combined with mass, concerted pressure on Remoaner MPs using our Brexit Battle Pack, the effect could be dramatic.
Meanwhile Mrs May continues to stumble on, clinging to Olly Robbins’ ridiculous Chequers proposals which have been rejected by virtually everybody. Whatever credibility she may have had (none in our view) has now surely gone completely.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY CONFERENCE
We are two days away from the start of the Conservative Party conference. Boris will address a fringe meeting on Tuesday, the penultimate day. Jacob Rees-Mogg and others will also speak at side venues, because they are not part of the official proceedings in the main hall.
On Wednesday Theresa May will deliver her keynote speech, something we will find it hard to watch. She will once again lie – and we regret the necessity and accuracy of the word – and will tell the conference and the country that Chequers delivers Brexit. It plainly does not. There’s no way of dancing around this. It’s a big, fat lie.
No amount of verbal acuity can get around basic facts. And basic (as well as detailed) facts about Brexit are what we’ve been delivering for nearly three years, so we would like to think we know a thing or two.
We have almost given up hope that Tory brexiteers in parliament will ever do the right thing. With just two days to go before the conference starts, we will make a last appeal.
“Chuck Chequers”
should go hand-in-hand with
“Trash Theresa”

Message: Clearly there has to be a new PM. The solution is to buy off the cabinet as money is more important than principle for most politicians these days. Who to motivate - Gove ! He needs the money that goes with being a minister. That is why he has not resigned. So someone from team Boris tell him the Chancellorship of the Exchequer is his in a new Government with Boris as PM and after five years Boris will step aside. All Gove has to do is immediately resign and take other members of the cabinet with him. The 1922 committee go for a new vote for PM and Boris will win. All the other minister can keep their seats in the cabinet except Raab to be replaced by Rees Mogg ! Gove has got to see his ship is sinking and needs to jump but he needs the money - so make him an offer he can't refuse !

Message: I support Boris's proposal and totally reject anything that Theresa May has brought forward and in particular her so called Chequers Proposal, which clearly is based upon her manic obsession with preserving the just in time supply chain at the expense of the will of the peoples of the United Kingdom. Theresa May and her band of Remainers such as Grieve and Soubry et al, have forgotten the basic principles of democracy i.e., in a vote, the majority rule! If it was a general election and a candidate won by a few votes, there would not be no ongoing continuing debate about the size of the majority and a call for a re-vote, no, we accept the result and move forward with the candidate who won, ergo, the majority rule. Also May and her merry band of would be robbers of democracy have forgotten that business, companies, are not voters in that they had no vote. Yes I accept they are important to our economy and provide jobs but, freedom willed and voted for by the voters must take precedence over their just in time supply chain.
May must go and any remainers who insist on continuing their position to frustrate or delay a true Brexit must be thrown out of office at the earliest opportunity. Bring on Boris, or Mogg or any politician that will uphold the will of the people and free us from the EU.
My own plan for Brexit is simple. Leave means Leave! So stop negotiating and on March 29th 2019 leave the EU. No money no deal. Then after we have left, just put forward offer or deal to the EU, if they accept all well and good, if not, then ok.

It seems like you're always at least one step behind and the fire has gone out of your belly. Can you PLEASE re-boot yourself or do whatever you need to to give us a hope?

Message: As a Conservative Party member I strongly feel we have to show a united front, which is at the moment - let's face it - impossible. We need a change. In fact we needed a change right after Chequers came out. That would have given the opportunity to get reorganized and reunited by know and use the party conference as a great opportunity to present this. What a shame. I won't even attend the conference, I can't see the point.
To be honest there are no cute puppies, abandoned children

 BREXIT VOICES ARE
MOBILISING

Tim Martin, Lucy Harris, Lord Forsyth
THE “PEOPLE’S VOTERS”
ARE MAKING THEIR VOICES HEARD
Regular readers know that our normal output consists of original, well-researched articles providing facts from official sources (most often from the EU institutions themselves) which illuminate and inform topical Brexit issues.
In the last week or so we have departed from our typical output to give readers a sense of the political backdrop prevailing at this time. We have done so because of the clear and present danger to Brexit from anti-democratic MPs and the pro-Remain bias of the BBC, Sky News and ITN.
This is also the underlying reason we developed and launched “the Brexit Battle Pack & Toolbox”, to give people some simple ways of fighting back against those who would thwart the largest political mandate in British history.
“EVENTS, DEAR BOY, EVENTS”
So, it is claimed, said Harold Macmillan when asked what a Prime Minister most feared. In fact, no-one has ever been able to give evidence that the actual words were used and to whom they were said, but it remains a delicious quote nonetheless.
The party conference season has also been well under way, with Brexit a dominating issue throughout. And a variety of other events are being held across the country, the latest being last night in Brighton for ‘Honour the Vote’, where Labour Leave, Invoke Democracy and others spoke.
The three articles below are all on this theme and in this article we give you a quick summary. Please read the following articles for more details.
SCOTS FOR LEAVE EVENT
We start with Scots For Leave, partly because the mainstream media seem to forget that over 1 million Scots voted to leave the EU. Their voices are seldom heard so we are delighted to announce the first of their events, which we hope our Scottish readers will support.
The event is free, but you must apply for tickets in advance. Please support them – the line-up of speakers is excellent.
LEAVERS OF LONDON EVENTS
Last night Leavers of London became the 12th pro-Brexit organisation to get behind our ‘Brexit Battle Pack’. Delighted to welcome them, we provide a profile below and we encourage all our London readers to join them.
They organise events on a regular basis in the capital, where (unusually) it is not a crime to voice pro-Brexit views.
ALLIANCE OF BRITISH ENTREPRENEURS  (SIGN THEIR LETTER TODAY!)
Like a bright shining light of the Brexit revolution, a new business group burst onto the stage just three weeks ago, to give voice to the views of British businesses whose voices are not represented by the pro-Remain CBI and FSB.
Please scroll down for our article about this.
They need your help today, before 4pm!
OBSERVATIONS
Today is your last chance to sign the letter from the Alliance of British Entrepreneurs to a major broadsheet and the May government, condemning Chequers and putting the positive case for Brexit.
Today we can announce that Tim Martin of Wetherspoons has signed the letter. Will you join the other 200-odd businesses who have already signed?

Message: This is all great stuff, thank you Facts4EU! There really seems to be a renewed energy coming from the Brexit camp and it's encouraging to finally see different groups putting on a united front, due in no small measure to your hard work with the Brexit Battle Pack. Of course, this wouldn't be necessary if TM and her entourage were equally committed to delivering the Brexit that 17.4 million people voted for. The Conservative Conference is going to be interesting.
Reply: You're very kind, Liz, thanks. Yes, we live in interesting times!

 SCOTTISH BREXITEERS
SPEAKING UP

Lord Forsyth, Stephen Kerr MP, Drew Liquerman (USA), James Bundy
JOIN ‘SCOTS FOR LEAVE’ AT THEIR INAUGURAL EVENT
"Clean Brexit" Event – 7-9pm
Saturday 13th October
Dunblane Victoria Halls
It's free but you need a ticket
Scots for Leave are hosting their first talk, in the historic Dunblane Victoria Halls. The venue is centrally located, with easy access from the North, South, West, and East of Scotland.
This is FREE but it’s a ticket-only event, so book now. This will be a treat for all Brexiteers north of the border.
Speakers at the event are Lord Forsyth of Drumlean - who was on Vote Leave's board and a firm supporter of Brexiteers. He will be joined by local MP Stephen Kerr, Drew Liquerman, Chairman of Republicans Overseas Scotland, and James Bundy, Head of Conservatives Future Scotland (illustrating that young people do back Brexit). Other speakers at the event are to be revealed nearer the time.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions to the panel of speakers.
CONFIRMED SPEAKERS SO FAR
Lord Forsyth of Drumlean
“Parliament cannot wilfully ignore referendum result”
Stephen Kerr MP
"Let me say that I associate myself with many of the comments that have been made by Conservative Members about the £39 billion that we have seemingly committed. We should definitely question the value for money behind that kind of exchange of currency."
James Bundy - Chair of Conservative Future Scotland
"Looking to the future, it is simply unacceptable for Britain to remain under the control of the European Union."
Drew Liquerman: Chairman of Republicans Overseas Scotland
From an American's point of view, Drew will outline just how a trade deal with the USA is achievable. In our opinion he's an excellent speaker.
The event is free but please RSVP here, to confirm your ticket. You can read about Scots for Leave on their Facebook page here.
OBSERVATIONS
We hope that our Scottish readers will want to attend this event, particularly as it’s the first one that Scots for Leave have organised. And if any of you feel like doing a short write-up, we’d be pleased to publish it.
Don’t forget, they need to know numbers, and you must have an advance ticket, so please book now.

 LEAVERS OF LONDON

Leavers of London founder Lucy Harris
BECOMES THE 12TH
PRO-BREXIT GROUP TO ENDORSE
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org is delighted to announce that 'Leavers of London' has become the 12th pro-Brexit organisation to endorse our ‘Brexit Battle Pack’.
12 pro-Brexit groups including its creators Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org are now all backing this initiative, designed to give ordinary voters the tools they need to fight back against the Remainer Establishment’s attempts to thwart Brexit.
Specifically the Pack provides all the information that people need if they want to actually do something, rather than just get mad. And most of it can be done without even leaving your chair!
If you haven’t already done so, get busy
WHO ARE LEAVERS OF LONDON?
Leavers of London is a monthly meet-up group where like-minded people who voted Leave in the EU referendum - left and right leaning - can come together to:
  • Share personal experiences from voting Leave
  • Represent the Leave vote in London in a positive light
  • Reform the perception of all voters and build a positive case for the UK’s future outside of the EU
  • Discuss and implement ideas for how the UK can use the referendum result to build a more equal and inclusive society
The group was founded by 25 year-old Lucy Harris, who famously refused to shake the hand of London Mayor Sadiq Khan at a public event in London last year. Writing an open letter to him later, Lucy explained her reasons.
Extracts from open letter by Lucy Harris to Sadiq Khan
“I voted Leave on 23rd June 2016. Since that historic vote, the backlash towards people who merely exercised their democratic right has negatively affected many Londoners' lives, and I believe threatens the basic principles of democracy.”
“I have heard damaging stories from people, some of whom tell me that they have been refused work, lost friends, faced threats and been excluded from social circles, all because they voted 'the wrong way'.”
“As our democratically elected Mayor, you have a duty to rise above the backdrop of partisan politics and represent all of those who call this great city home.”
The group holds regular events. If you live or work in London and are interested, the group's website is here.
ABOUT LUCY HARRIS - Coordinator of Leavers of London
Leavers of London founder Lucy Harris
A passionate supporter of Brexit, Lucy comes from Suffolk and has lived in London for over 8 years. Lucy has a background in classical music, studying at the Guildhall Conservatoire and City University. This was followed by a time in publishing and Lucy now works in political communications. Having lived in Italy for two years, she is a self-taught fluent Italian speaker and a lover of Europe. Her goal is to grow confidence in Leave voters in London.
As she says: “Yes, Remain won 59.9 per cent of the vote in London. But that still leaves 40.1 per cent who voted Leave. This amounts to 1,513,232 people, which is 17 per cent more than voted for Sadiq Khan to become mayor.”
OTHER PRO-BREXIT ORGANISATIONS

Above you can see the impressive number of organisations who have endorsed the Brexit Battle Pack already.
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org welcomes contact with all pro-Brexit organisations regarding the Brexit Battle Pack and Toolbox. The reaction from the general public to the Pack has been overwhelming and they have also been delighted to see so many Brexit organisations coming together.
We have contacted other organisations who have yet to respond, but if you somehow missed your invitation please get in touch with us now. The more the merrier!
OBSERVATIONS
MS HARRIS
Lucy Harris has appeared many times on TV and in the newspapers since she founded Leavers for London. We know we will speak for many readers when we say that we applaud her courage in standing up for the 1.5 million Londoners who voted to leave the European Union.
Lucy and her colleagues from the Leavers for London group are providing an excellent platform for reasonable discussion and much needed support for those who feel shunned and isolated by their support for Brexit. We also welcome their attempts to promote tolerance in the face of the divisiveness of some from the anti-Brexit camp.
FINALLY - DO SOMETHING TODAY!
Finally, to everyone reading this please remember that this Pack is there to be used by you. A significant amount of work went into compiling it, and in securing the endorsement of other groups.
We really hope you will take at least one action today.
Oh, and as one of the poorest but most prolific Brexit groups out there, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org is desperately in need of donations towards the cost of producing and promoting the Pack!

 BRITISH BUSINESS TO
SPEAK UP FOR BREXIT
Ed Harden and Tom Bohills, Founders of The Alliance of British Entrepreneurs        © Facts4EU.Org
WILL YOU JOIN OTHER BUSINESSES
AND SIGN A LETTER TO MRS MAY TODAY?
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
“British business must be given the chance to lead on a global scale
It is time for the Government to listen”
36 hours to go – Make your voice heard
The Alliance for British Entrepreneurs (ABE) is within hours of sending a letter to a national broadsheet and Mrs May, on behalf of British entrepreneurs and businesses.
We’ve backed this young organisation since its launch three weeks ago. You can read two of our articles about them here and here.
TIME TO STEP UP, ENTREPRENEURS!
Now we’re asking you to step up and add your name to the letter which will be published by a national broadsheet and be sent to the Prime Minister, just ahead of the Conservative Party conference this weekend. They need you to sign in the next 36 hours – will you consider it?
Here’s the letter:
Letter to be sent to a national broadsheet
and to the Rt Hon Theresa May MP and her government
“The Alliance of British Entrepreneurs (ABE) is proud to be backed by the entrepreneurs below.
Chequers is a muddled compromise that suits no-one on either side of the Referendum divide. The 'Common Rulebook' offers the EU carte blanche to dictate policy, stifling innovation and leaving us a passive rule taker. Chequers also hobbles the greatest economic opportunity of Brexit: that of free trade agreements with old allies and new friends around the world.
As shown at Salzburg, Chequers is doomed to fail. It will not make it through Parliament and is unacceptable to the EU. The result will be more uncertainty and continuing Government paralysis.
Time is short. We must reset the negotiations to pursue a comprehensive CETA-style FTA, as offered by Donald Tusk in March 2018. In tandem, the Government must immediately expedite preparations for trading on WTO terms and should be ready to make the UK hyper-competitive come March 2019.
ABE's message is this: Be bold, be resolute and be entrepreneurial. The UK deserves better than Chequers.”
LISTEN TO THEIR INTERVIEW ON THE TELEGRAPH’S ‘CHOPPER’S BREXIT PODCAST’
The two founders of the Alliance of British Entrepreneurs are running businesses, and haven’t had much time to work on their website, but you can read it here.
You can also hear them being interviewed by the Daily Telegraph’s Christopher Hope, on his “Chopper’s Brexit Podcast”.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
ALLIANCE OF BRITISH ENTREPRENEURS
  • Over 200 businesses have joined already
  • Aim is to force No.10 to abandon discredited Chequers proposal and to speak for pro-Brexit entrepreneurs
  • Members include supporters of Conservative, Labour & UKIP parties
  • Supporters range from household name company employing tens of thousands.....
  • ...to businesses of 1-3 people
As with all these things, the important issue is numbers. The more entrepreneurs and SMEs who add their support, the more seriously this campaign against the Chequers proposals will be taken.
If you wish you can email the founders directly now. To receive priority treatment, please mention that you’re a Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org reader.

 THE PEOPLE’S VOTE
THE RESULTS
In 2016 a ‘People’s Vote’ was held on whether the UK should remain in or leave the European Union.
Some people seem to have forgotten the result.
With the Labour Party conference in its final day today, and the Conservative Party conference ready to start on Sunday, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org thought it might be a good moment to remind members of each party – and particularly their MPs – of the results of the EU Referendum.
Below we show the results in terms of parliamentary seats.
Chart © Facts4EU.Org 2018
As is clear, because of the first-past-the-post electoral system in the UK the vast majority of MPs' constituencies voted to leave the EU. 74% of Conservative seats and 64% of Labour seats voted Leave. At the time that represented 247 and 168 seats respectively.
The analysis of the Referendum by constituency was conducted by Dr Chris Hanretty, then of the University of East Anglia but now Professor at Royal Holloway. This is respected work which is not contested.
OBSERVATIONS
Time has passed, albeit that the delay was not at the choosing of the majority of the British public who voted to leave. However the result of the EU Referendum is one thing which even the most ardent Remoaner cannot alter.
The country voted to leave.
One of the biggest threats to Brexit is the majority of Remainer MPs in the House of Commons who seem to think they know better than the majority of the British public.
They do not. And even if they did, it matters not. This was the largest electoral mandate in British history. MPs are duty- and honour-bound to implement the decision of the people.
DO MPs WANT TO KEEP THEIR JOBS?
Remainer MPs are forever wittering on about ‘protecting jobs’ in their verbal contortions about Brexit, as if this were something which never crossed the minds of the people when casting their vote.
We suggest that MPs – and biased Remainer TV journalists come to that – might want to think about their own jobs, before they next open their mouths about Brexit.
In the case of MPs, our chart above should make a sobering sight.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HOLD MPs’ FEET TO THE FIRE?
11 pro-Brexit groups have come together (and more are expected to join) to endorse our ‘Brexit Battle Pack’.
This is an unheard of collaboration and it has of course gone completely unreported by the BBC, Sky News and ITN.
The Battle Pack gives you the tools to do something for Brexit from the comfort of your own home. For the more adventurous there are additional tools in the Pack, but all we ask is that you take a look.
If you’re reading this, the chances are that you care about Brexit being delivered without any more fuss. With the Brexit Battle Pack, we’re giving you the ammunition.
Please use it. And whether you do or you don’t, please consider making a contribution to our work. Thank you.

SHADOW BREXIT SECRETARY GOES
OFF MESSAGE AND OFF THE RAILS
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
“Nobody is ruling out Remain as an option”
  • Labour’s shadow Brexit Secretary opens up ‘People’s Vote’ to another In/Out Referendum
  • Labour’s “6 Tests” mean NO Brexit deal will have their support
  • Labour Leave fight back
At the Labour Party conference yesterday, the shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer stated:
“If we need to break the impasse, our options must include campaigning for a public vote and nobody is ruling out Remain as an option.”
STARMER RULED OUT ‘REMAIN’ IN LATE 2017
This marks a clear departure from Labour’s script on Brexit. For example, here was Keir Starmer on the BBC’s Question Time programme on 14 November 2017:
“There’s no dispute that Britain will leave the European Union in March 2019. As our election manifesto made clear, Labour accepts and respects the referendum result.”
- Sir Keir Starmer, BBC Question Time, 14 Nov 2017
LABOUR WILL VOTE AGAINST ANY BREXIT DEAL
Crucially, one aspect of Labour policy is not contested by either the leadership or Labour Party members and is scarcely mentioned anywhere. Sir Keir confirmed it again yesterday.
“If Theresa May brings back a deal that does not meet our tests - and that looks increasingly likely - Labour will vote against it. No ifs, no buts.
- Sir Keir Starmer, Labour Party Conference, 25 Sep 2018
LABOUR'S '6 TESTS OF BREXIT':
On 27 March last year Labour issued their six ‘tests of Brexit’, against which they would decide whether to support the government’s eventual Brexit deal.
One of Labour’s six tests is “Does it deliver the ‘exact same benefits’ as we currently have as members of the Single Market and Customs Union?” This test refers to an answer given by the Rt Hon David Davis MP in response to a question from Anna Soubry in Parliament, when he said:
“What we have come up with - I hope to persuade her that this is a very worthwhile aim - is the idea of a comprehensive free trade agreement and a comprehensive customs agreement that will deliver the exact same benefits as we have”
- Rt Hon David Davis MP, House of Commons, 24 Jan 2017
This was of course very clumsy, to say the least, and we published an article about this last year.
Neverthless it’s important to note that David Davis described this as “a very worthwhile aim”. Sir Keir has subsequently and quite falsely claimed this to be a government promise and has then transposed this into a ‘test’ against which Labour will decide whether to support any deal reached by the government.
RESPONSE FROM OTHER PARTS OF LABOUR
Labour Leave said yesterday that:
“The second referendum campaign is nothing more than a P45 to Labour MPs in the Midlands and the North.”
“We're damaging the Labour brand alienating our supporters,” said Labour Leave general secretary Brendan Chilton.
“We have already had a vote on the UK's membership of the EU; it's been done and dusted. The Labour Party and its members must accept this and move on.”
The Unite union’s assistant general secretary Steve Turner said :
“Despite what Keir said earlier, it's a public vote on the terms of our departure.”
OBSERVATIONS
LABOUR WILL VOTE AGAINST ANY BREXIT DEAL OTHER THAN REMAIN
It is self-evident that in the real world no Brexit deal of any kind with the EU will result in the UK getting “the exact same benefits as we have”. To suggest otherwise is to insult everyone’s intelligence and is a fatuous argument.
For the last 18 months Labour has therefore been working on the basis of a set of tests for a Brexit deal which no Brexit deal could ever pass, because one of those tests is based on a lie.
In other words Labour will vote against any Brexit deal, no matter what it is - unless of course the “deal” is to remain in the EU.
SIR KEIR STARMER
This is clearly the desire of the right honourable gentleman. Were he to try this on in any court we would like to think that this QC would be laughed right out of it.
Mr Starmer’s advocacy of Remain as an option on the ballot paper at his desired ‘People’s Vote’ was not part of the official version of his speech and it brought loud applause from the massively europhile, anti-Brexit, and anti-democratic audience.
It’s time to take the gloves off.
Sir Keir Starmer is a disgrace. He is an MP and a QC and yet it seems that he does not believe in democracy. We will no longer tolerate MPs masquerading as democrats and we will now call them out whenever they speak and from whichever party they are from.
Let’s be clear, there was already a ‘People’s Vote’.
It took place in 2016 and must be delivered in full.
ANY MP who talks of another vote does not respect democracy and it really is that simple. The result of the EU Referendum must be delivered. The UK must leave the EU in full.
DELIVERING BREXIT
It has always been our view that this should have happened a maximum of 2 years from the day following the Referendum, as the then Prime Minister David Cameron promised he would invoke Article 50 “the next day” in the event of a vote to leave.
Given the much delayed invocation of Article 50 by Theresa May, the UK should leave completely on 29 March next year.
We never supported the Transition Period, which we saw as a means of delaying things and aiming to overturn Brexit. In this, we differ from the ERG of Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg.
If Sir Keir Starmer feels unable to implement the democratic decision of the British people, he should resign as an MP. We feel he should also speak to the Lord Chancellor about his role as a QC, as we find it unacceptable to have an anti-democrat having such an honour.
We urge all right-minded Labour voters to get behind Labour Leave and respect the result of the EU Referendum.

Message: Nigel Farage thinks that Corbyn has made a massive tactical blunder by letting Dame Starmer run riot, because he will alienate the 5m Labour voters who voted leave. He thinks that even with the Maybot still in charge, the Tories would have an open goal to aim at, if they decided to hold a snap election.

Message: A question that I've been waiting for ANY journalist to ask Starmer or any of the Labour party, or even point it out, is that their own 'Brexit' proposal fails their own '6 tests' so how does that work? Their proposal is to deliver 'as close as possible' the same benefits, which is not the same as 'exact same benefits' - the charge to be levied against any 'deal' by the Government to vote it down. I await with bated breath for some proper, unbiased analysis from our fraudcasters. I could be waiting some time...

 “WE’RE BACKING CHEQUERS”
- Mrs May and her cabinet, 24 Sep 2018
© HMG
“CHEQUERS IS A JOKE”
- The rest of the world
Yesterday the cabinet met to discuss the question of immigration rules post-Brexit, in the light of the independent Migration Advisory Committee report, issued on Tuesday last week.
In advance of the cabinet meeting it was widely reported that many ministers were going to tell the Prime Minister that the Chequers White Paper was “dead as a dodo”, in the words of the May loyalist, Sir Mike Penning MP.
In reality, the opposite happened.
“The Cabinet gave its full support to the White Paper,
and that continues to be the case.”
- Spokesman for Mrs May, 24 Sep 2018
THE CHEQUERS DEMOLITION DERBY CONTINUES
With impeccable timing, as the cabinet meeting broke up, the respected Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) launched its “Plan A+” report, outlining an alternative plan for Brexit. Amongst those backing the report at the launch event were Jacob Rees-Mogg, David Davis, Theresa Villiers and Gisela Stuart. Many MPs such as Boris Johnson promptly came out in support.
The report makes recommendations on a range of different areas, from trade policy, the regulatory environment, the Northern Irish border non-issue, to areas like defence.
OBSERVATIONS
The reinforced backing yesterday by the entire cabinet of the Chequers proposals, written by the unelected civil servant Olly Robbins, beggars belief.
These proposals have been rejected by almost everyone, from the EU Council to the EU Commission to the EU Parliament to Brexiteer MPs and even to Remainer MPs.
According to reports over the weekend, many ministers were going to urge a change of plan on the Prime Minister in yesterday’s cabinet meeting. Instead, she waddles on like a lame duck holding a lame duck.
If for no other reason, this blind and irrational decision dictates that this Prime Minister must go, urgently.
Below we report on the paper from the IEA which was launched yesterday, setting out their thoughts on a way forward for Brexit.

Message: Chequers is a dead duck, everybody has rejected it. May and her Cabinet are just going along with it until after the Tory Conference, May then appears "strong and stable". She is anything but, her super negotiator Robbins has blown it, I read yesterday that he was told the day before the Chequers launch that his deal breached the EU's four principles, he still presented it. The May, Robbins, Barwell Chequers deal was designed to keep the UK so closely aligned to the EU that we could just opt back in at a later date. But nobody bought it, despite May showing the deal to Merkel before her Cabinet. The EU is dishing out a punishment beating to the UK to deter the more faint hearted EU dissident countries from leaving. Project fear is underway on turbo power, but still the polls about leaving the EU utopia refuse to budge. Perhaps project fear is having the opposite effect, it just informs the electorate how much of the UK sovereignty has been given away to the unelected EU. I suspect as 29th March 2019 gets nearer the EU may get the jitters and the off the shelf Canada deal offered to the UK. Then perhaps meaningful negotiations can take place.
Name: Andrew, Leeds, UK      Date/Time: 25 Sept 2018, 11.28am
Message: I've come to the conclusion that Mrs May must be mentally ill. How else can one explain her irrational decision to prepare the so called Chequers Plan in secret, behind the backs and without the knowledge of the Ministers who are responsible for the policy. How else can one explain that having seen it rejected by the arrogant and insufferable Continental Europeans she persists with it. What was she thinking allowing herself to be treated as she was, not only from a personal point of view, but she represents the nation, a nation which saved most of those arrogant [deleted] from themselves.
It is time Conservative MPs realised she is not up to the job and got rid of her for someone who actually understands Brexit and believes in it. And as for Ollie Robbins the sooner he is in The Tower the better.
Name: NOT4EU, London, UK      Date/Time: 25 Sept 2018, 08.27am
Message: Well, just as you think that our so-called 'Government' couldn't possibly be any more provably incompetent for office, the remain Cabinet demonstrate - yet again - that they haven't got a handful of brain cells between them and with no spines to speak of, appear to just be plankton. They have decided to support, and endorse, a 'proposal' that has already been turned down (and mocked) by the EU, the counterparty in the negotiations and has no support from any leave person. Not one objection apparently. What does that say about them, particularly the now apparent faux 'leavers'? It would seem that none of them would have the common sense to be capable of standing in a road with a lollipop to ensure that children cross the road safely. None of them should ever hold a public office ever again.
Do they really think that the people watching this farce are so stupid that they believe them? This is all solely for 'The Party' (not the country) and to get May through the conference (and hobble our country to a foreign power in servitude). The sad thing is that we are seeing the effect of the EU effectively running this country for the past few decades. Rubber-stamping EU diktats for their masters is all they know.
"Chequers" is not leaving the EU. If we do not leave the EU, it proves that democracy no longer exists in this country and that desired change cannot be brought about peacefully via the ballot box. The contempt for our so-called Parliamentarians , with a few honourable exceptions, borders on visceral.

THE IEA SLAMS CHEQUERS
Yesterday in Westminster the respected Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) launched its “Plan A+” report on the Brexit negotiations.
The IEA’s views on Chequers do not make pretty reading for the Prime Minister or her cabinet. The report raises the numerous fatal flaws in Mrs May’s ‘only credible plan’ for Brexit, many of which we have highlighted in previous articles since the moment it was released.
“The Government White Paper [‘Chequers’] proposes that the UK would have substantively harmonised regulations with the EU, which, with the customs arrangement it outlined, would make an independent trade policy all but impossible.
“It also described a swathe of other infringements to independence.”
- IEA report, 24 Sep 2018
BROADLY, WHAT DOES THIS DOCUMENT SAY?
The authors propose a multi-layered approach to the coming months, with the UK pursuing several strands at the same time. The IEA labels these “The 4 Pillars”.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
“IEA PLAN A+ : Creating a prosperous post-Brexit U.K.”
The “4 Pillars” are :
  • UNILATERAL - Abandoning excessive EU regulation, eliminating tariffs on goods the UK doesn’t produce, reclaiming sovereignty over the UK’s waters, abandoning plans to combine defence forces with the EU, and a completely independent immigration policy
  • BILATERAL - Replicating existing EU trade agreements with other countries, negotiating new trade agreements around the world, negotiating a Free Trade Agreement with the EU, separate agreements with the EU on matters such as aviation and nuclear safety
  • PLURILATERAL - Negotiating membership of international trade groups such as NAFTA and TPP
  • MULTILATERAL - Leveraging the UK’s membership of the WTO and joining/creating trading groups
STANDING TALL
Overall the report highlights the ‘supplicant’ nature of the British government’s approach to the EU and urges it to consider a far more robust stance. It rejects the EU’s insistence on its own – often ideological – demands and suggests that if the EU refuses to cooperate then action should be taken against the EU at WTO level, for clear breach of the rules.
On Northern Ireland, the report follows what we have been saying since the EU and the anti-British Irish government of Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney first weaponised the border issue. In broad terms it also matches the ERG’s report on the Irish border non-issue published last week.
OBSERVATIONS
At 150 pages, the IEA’s report is not for the fainthearted. Even the ‘Executive Summary’ runs to 7 pages. [Note for report writers: In business, no ‘Executive Summary’ should be longer than one page.]
We contacted the IEA for a video of the launch event, as we felt readers might prefer to get a feel for the report from the comments by Mr Rees-Mogg and others, rather than reading the entire document. Sadly a video was not available but when this changes we will bring you a link.
CHUCKING CHEQUERS – YET AGAIN
Not only does the IEA report demolish Chequers for failing to deliver Brexit, it also points out the illegalities inherent in it which will undoubtedly cause serious difficulties for the government at the WTO. At a time when the government needs the WTO firmly on side, this issue alone is enough to make Chequers a busted flush.
We would imagine that only a few hundred people will read the whole report from the IEA. (If we had to guess, apart from two members of the Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org team we can be fairly certain that the Rt Hon John Redwood MP and the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP will have read it in full.)
As ever, we have tried to bring you a digest in a form that ordinary voters outside the Westminster Bubble might read.
IS ONE COORDINATED BREXIT DOCUMENT SO HARD?
We very strongly recommend that pro-Brexit MPs combine the elements of the IEA report yesterday with those in last week’s ERG paper on the Irish border and the Economists for Free Trade paper a week earlier, and several other reports before that.
For a more rounded view, any MPs not already reading us should also contact us for a huge range of factual information surrounding a clean Brexit, produced over the last two and a half years - all from official EU or national government sources.
(And for a better understanding of the EU mindset, which is essential for success and which doesn’t follow normal logic, they really, really should contact us.)
The Prime Minister has consistently argued that “there is no other plan” than Chequers. We have to say she has a point, although her own plan does not represent Brexit in any shape or form of course.
There is a distressing lack of a coordinated document encompassing an entire Brexit strategy. We could produce one, but we don’t have a Westminster office so we know there’s no point because it would be ignored, except by our enlightened MP readers. Nor are we on salaries, like some.
We will however continue to try to represent the interests of the majority of the people of the United Kingdom and bring readers facts they would otherwise not see. Unfortunately our lack of funding means we will have to scale back, unless readers who haven’t yet contributed could possibly help us?

Yesterday EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini met UN Secretary General António Guterres and isued a Joint Communiqué to reaffirm ‘the EU-UN partnership’.
According to the EU Commission:-
“Today [Sunday 23 Sep 2018], they expressed their determination to further strengthen the cooperation between the United Nations and the European Union. At a time of unprecedented and pressing global challenges, the United Nations and the European Union continue to engage together as positive forces for change to promote and renew full commitment to multilateralism and a rules-based global order.”
Later Juncker and de facto EU Foreign Secretary Mogherini met African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki Mahamat to discuss increasing cooperation between the European Union, African Union and United Nations.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) President Juncker, EU Vice-President Frans Timmermans and EU Foreign Secretary/Vice-President Mogherini will join EU Council President Donald Tusk for the opening of the 73rd UN General Assembly.
EU Council President Tusk will address the full UN General Assembly on behalf of the EU on Thursday.
WHAT ABOUT THE UK AND THE UN?
United Kingdom holds one of the five permanent seats on the UN Security Council. It is one of the major funders of the UN.
The finances of the UN are obscure in that – like the EU – there is the ‘official budget’ and then there are other ‘off-the-books’ budgets. The latter include peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, etc. Depending on which budget you look at, the UK is between the 3rd and 6th biggest funder.
The EU also diverts monies from its member states to the UN, but it is not listed as a country by the UN in its list of funders. It is still classified as a multilateral donor, for the moment.
OBSERVATIONS
Some years ago a member of the Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org team was living in the States and happened to be in New York during ‘UN week’. He was walking down a street when multiple sirens – above the usual level for NYC – came closer. Suddenly motorbike cops screeched to a halt at the nearest junction, blocking all traffic.
A minute later a large cavalcade swept by, with three black shiny limos, NYPD motorbike outriders, and security SUV vehicles front and rear.
Turning to one of New York’s finest who was standing close by, your reporter asked if that was the US President who had just passed.
“Nah,” said the cop. “Who then?” The cop only shrugged.
A young woman in a Columbia University History Faculty t-shirt who had overheard the conversation then offered “President of Equatorial Guinea? It’s the UN General Assembly this week.”
Impressed to meet a native who knew that such a country as Equatorial Guinea even existed (it does), your intrepid correspondent immediately invited her for a coffee. And the rest, as they say, is nothing to do with the EU.
THE EU POSTURING ON THE WORLD STAGE
No doubt the unelected bureaucrats supposedly representing the UK and the other 27 countries of the EU will enjoy the pomp and general genuflection afforded to heads of state by the UN in New York. Limos, they are already used to using in Brussels, of course.
Yesterday unelected EU bureaucrats met the UN Secretary-General. These bureaucrats were representing the UK, amongst 27 other countries. Today and tomorrow they will hold more meetings at the highest levels.
On Thursday this week, an unimpressive Polish former politician will address the General Assembly of the United Nations. He will do so as ‘President of the European Council’. His name is Donald Tusk.
As far as the delegates will be concerned, he will be speaking for the European Union, including the United Kingdom.
This is the man who played a significant part in ridiculing the British Prime Minister in Salzburg last week.
THIS IS FINE IF....
This week the EU is once again acting like a country. All of this is absolutely fine if you have no problem with the UK becoming nothing more than a region, in a country called the United States of Europe.
You will of course have to have no sense of irony. You will have to close your mind to the fact that this week unelected EU Presidents and Vice-Presidents (there are four of these that we know of so far in the EU delegation) will be talking about ‘democratic values’.
If however you think it’s reasonable for the 5th largest economy on the planet (the United Kingdom) to have its own voice on the world stage, you might baulk at the idea of these unelected and frankly unimpressive individuals representing you. Particularly because you didn’t vote them in and you can’t vote them out.
You might point out that the British people in 1975 only voted for a ‘Common Market’, not a superstate. You might feel that democracy and the proud history of our nation are important.
ONCE MORE UNTO THE BREACH
And you might want to gird your loins for a very hard fight once again, to prevent a bunch of anti-democratic sore losers with political agendas from overturning the biggest electoral mandate in British history.
Please help us to fight back. What we do is effective but we’re woefully underfunded. Please donate something today if you can.

Message: The EU is NOT a Nation. The bureaucrats are out in numbers doing one thing they do well: gate-crashing. They should be bounced from this UN gathering. They can only ever represent one person: themselves. They are not appointed in any shape or form by Democratic means. They think they can barge their way in, and then tell others what they should be doing! A lot of mouth and no trousers. All this posturing will end, especially if, or when, the US leaves the UN. When the UN also realises that the EU don't actually contribute; that it is the individual countries, and majorly the UK, which do and the UK is shortly leaving the EU. Result: funding falsely claimed by the EU to be from them dries up. No more free limo rides or free drinks for the likes of Junker and his EU crony free-wheelers!

 BREXIT
AND A LABOUR OF HATE?
LABOUR PARTY CONFERENCE 2018
Labour's photo for attendees     © Labour Party, Sep 2018
WHAT HAPPENS TODAY COULD AFFECT BREXIT
Today over 13,000 people are gathering in Liverpool for the 2018 Labour Party Conference. Of these, however, only 1,650 are voting delegates from their local parties.
Approximately 5,000 attendees will be members of the party and it’s unclear who the other 8,000 are, but they will no doubt include a variety of political activists, trades unionists, lobbyists, and charities. The Conference starts today (Sunday) and lasts until Wednesday.
At last year’s Labour Party Conference,
the leadership managed to avoid a Brexit debate.
This year this is simply not credible.
The anti-democrats supporting a ‘People’s Vote’ will make sure of that.
THE EXTREMISTS’ ATTACK ON BREXIT
Specifically there will be a determined attempt to make a ‘People’s Vote’ official Labour Party policy.
This vote, in the unlikely event it ever took place, would of course be the third on Brexit in 3 years, the first being the Referendum and the second being the General Election, when 82% voted for parties accepting Brexit and leaving the Single Market, etc.
A new mobile ‘app’ has even been launched, allowing all those at the Conference who wish to overturn Brexit to contact each other and meet up to discuss tactics.
At Labour conferences, the agenda is not set in stone. Something called the Conference Arrangements Committee will decide today which of the many motions presented by local parties will be debated.
With six months to go before the supposed date of Brexit, they will not be able to deny the anti-democratic, anti-Brexit members their day in the sun, as they were able to do last year.
The most probable outcome is that one of the less controversial and less effective anti-Brexit motions will be chosen for debate. Nevertheless this will create massive pressure on Jeremy Corbyn and his team to make the ‘People’s Vote’ official Labour Party policy.
FOLLOWING THE PROCEEDINGS
BBC news will undoubtedly cover Labour's discussions about overturning Brexit in great detail, and if you wish to watch the debates in full the BBC Parliament channel will be covering these.
OBSERVATIONS
Before saying anything else, we would like to congratulate Kate Hoey MP for her excellent speech at the rally in Bolton yesterday. What a shame that Ms Hoey is in a small minority in her party, speaking up for Brexit and democracy.
On a more general note it is our experience that fanatical Remainers have little interest in facts, preferring to confine themselves to sweeping statements for which they have no evidence.
Such people will be out in force in Liverpool today and in the coming days.
Nevertheless, in the next article we will once again show these anti-democrats just one simple fact, and ask them to explain it.
Whilst we have no interest in debating with the ill-informed fanatical activists, we do expect Remainer MPs to be able to answer this question. Chuka, Keir and friends, please read on.

 LABOURING UNDER A DELUSION

Chuka Umunna MP, Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP, Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP
THE SINGLE MARKET IS ESSENTIAL?
THE FACTS SAY OTHERWISE
At the Labour Party Conference starting in Liverpool today, readers can expect to hear a lot about the benefits of the Single Market – as well as many other aspects of EU membership.
The benefits of membership of the Single Market will be expressed in vague terms, as they always are.
HERE IS WHAT THE LABOUR PARTY’S WEBSITE SAYS
The section entitled “Negotiating Brexit” starts with:
“Labour accepts the referendum result”
It goes on to say that:
“We will scrap the Conservatives’ Brexit White Paper and replace it with fresh negotiating priorities that have a strong emphasis on retaining the benefits of the Single Market and the Customs Union – which are essential for maintaining industries, jobs and businesses in Britain.”
- Labour Party website, Brexit section, 23 Sep 2018
SO HERE’S A PROBLEM FOR LABOUR REMOANER MPs TO EXPLAIN
Here we take just one of the golden geese of Remainer MPs’ ideology – the Single Market - and look at one very basic fact.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
UK AVERAGE GROWTH BEFORE AND AFTER SINGLE MARKET STARTED
  • 25 years BEFORE Single Market:     2.4% average annual growth
  • 25 years AFTER Single Market:       2.2% average annual growth
Chart © Facts4EU.Org 2018
The UK’s average annual growth rate has fallen
since the start of the Single Market, not risen.
OBSERVATIONS
Labour Remainer MPs have consistently been repeating the mantra that leaving the Single Market will be a disaster for the economy and doubtless they will do so again at the Labour Party Conference today and in the coming three days.
If they want to claim that leaving the Single Market will result in lower growth or a recession, it follows that it should be possible for them to prove the opposite. In other words, how much has the Single Market helped our economy? A simple way of doing this is to look at how much our membership of the Single Market has affected our growth rate since it started.
Well, we’ve done the sums for them, using the official GDP figures from the ONS. There is no sleight of hand. The chart above comes from the official, raw data and is incontestable.
DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR FROM BRUSSELS
Over the years, the EU has made claims that the full implementation of the Single Market will produce an uplift in GDP of 4.5 - 6%. In 25 years, this has never materialised. In fact the UK’s average GDP growth has fallen from 2.4% to 2.2% as we have shown.
Yes of course we know that many factors make economic growth go up or down, which is precisely why we have used a 50 year time period period to make the comparisons.
25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE SINGLE MARKET
Over the past 12 months the EU has been celebrating 25 years since the launch of its Single Market. We used the lifetime of this project – 25 years – and therefore used the period of 25 years before it, to make the comparison. This evens out any short-term effects from other factors.
We suggest to Labour Remainer MPs that any claims that membership of the Single Market has been a success for the UK is pure bunkum based on what they hope is the case, rather than what has happened in reality.
Our message to them:
Please don't be on the wrong side of history for all the wrong reasons.

Message: Well hang on. Whilst what you say is undoubtedly true, the 25 years prior to 1973 were years of political stability, throughout the western world. After 1973 we had the oil shocks, the industrial strife of the 1970's and the 2008 financial crash. What you need to do is compare UK growth to similar economies, both in and out the single market. That would be more convincing.
Reply: The fundamental point is that Remainer MPs are lauding the Single Market yet have no knowledge of it at all. There is no evidence that it has had any effect, yet they claim leaving it would be a disaster. We have published many reports on different aspects, including all manner of analyses and figures, all of which show the claims of Remainer MPs to be false. We can't put everything into one article or no-one would read it. We suggest the above facts are simple, easily understood, and will have impact.
Name: Big Mach, Cheshire, UK      Date/Time: 23 Sept 2018, 6.50pm
Message: In 2011, Ed Davey, then minister of state at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), said that "˜EU countries trade twice as much with each other as they would do in the absence of the Single Market programme".
An examination of OECD data on UK exports to EU members since 1973 tells a different story. To measure the benefits of the Single Market we must measure the rate of export growth to EU countries prior to 1993, compared with the rate of growth after 1993.
An extrapolation of growth of UK goods exports to the other EU members over the Common Market decades from 1973 to 1992 placed alongside real growth over the Single Market years from 1993 to 2015 shows that the rapid growth of the Common Market was not continued. The Single Market has been an era of slow and declining growth of UK goods exports to other members.
The real growth rate of UK exports in the Common Market years 1973 to 1993 was 6.04 per cent, and in the 23 years of the Single Market was 1.00 per cent. This dismal performance is no doubt due in part to the financial crisis of 2008. Even if, for the sake of argument, we assume (what is by no means certain) that export growth during the pre-crisis boom was part of the normal growth path of the Single Market, Compound Annual Growth Rate over the 15 pre-crisis years to 2007 was 4.06 per cent. Therefore, still almost two per cent below that of the Common Market years. There are several graphs in the paper written by Michael Burrage entitled, "It's Quite OK to Walk Away" that gives a good visual picture of what I have put in numbers.
The growth of goods exports of the UK to 11 long-standing members of the EU over these 43 years are barely distinguishable from those of 14 countries outside of the EU exporting under WTO rules, and they of course have not incurred any of the costs of EU membership.
The UK has exported to 111 countries under WTO rules from 1993 to 2015, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 2.88 per cent. Its exports to the 62 countries with which the EU has trade agreements grew at a CAGR of 1.82 per cent. The slowest growth of all, at a CAGR of 0.91 per cent, has been to the 14 founder and long-standing members of the Single Market, albeit with a spike in 2006 preceding the financial crisis. Over the 23 years, UK exports to 111 countries under WTO rules have grown four times as much as its exports to the EU15 fellow members of the Single Market, 88 per cent versus 22 per cent.
It beggars belief that Ed Davey, a Minister of State, should make such outrageous statements about trade in the Single Market, but as we have all seen over the years, he is not alone.
On the 7th October 2016, the heads of four UK industrial federations, the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the Engineering Employers' Federation (EEF), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and techUK, published an open letter to the Prime Minister which said: "Every credible study that has been conducted has shown that this WTO option would do serious and lasting damage to the UK economy and those of our trading partners. The Government should give certainty to business by immediately ruling this option out under any circumstances." To quote Michael Burrage, "Since it is difficult to think of any credible studies of the WTO option might mean for UK trade with the EU, I asked all four of these associations for the names of any of these studies, but they all declined to name any of them."
In June 2015, a year before the referendum, a Financial Times (FT) columnist, Wolfgang Munchau, observed that "if you look at the trend of EU-wide productivity, the single market leaves no trace" It has been downhill ever since the official start date of the single market in 1992.
Advocates of the single market might benefit from it personally, and so might their shareholders and employees. But the data are telling us a different story - that the single market is a giant economic non-event, for both the EU and the UK. He ended up saying he found it "hard to make a compelling case for British membership of the EU on the grounds of the single market" and he would "go further and reject all utilitarian arguments."
The only way to undermine the misinformation about the EU in general and the Single Market in particular is with the numbers. Unfortunately we don't seem to have too many politicians who are sufficiently versed in the numbers when questioned by Sky or the BBC. However, that doesn't stop us writing to the newspapers or comments columns in the internet versions of the newspapers to make the case. Every little helps. If you are Twitter and Facebook there are plenty of opportunities to give folk the numbers.
WE THOUGHT WE COULD GO BACK TO OUR CAREERS
AND OUR LIVES AFTER THE EU REFERENDUM
Unfortunately this was wildly optimistic.
We've had to give another two years to this fight,
7 days a week, and it isn't over.
It has never been more important for us to keep fighting, bringing readers well-researched facts from official sources, punchy bullet points, and simple charts.
Politicians, journalists and members of the public have come to trust us on Brexit as the definitive source of accurate analysis of data from official sources, presented in a user-friendly way. We inform the Brexit debate.

 IS THERESA MAY NOW
UNFIT TO GOVERN?
A SATURDAY PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG EDITORIAL
The newspapers and TV news channels are full of Theresa May, the Salzburg humiliation, the bullying EU, the key cabinet meeting this coming Monday, a ‘Plan B’, and the Tory Party conference next weekend.
Frankly, there were no big surprises resulting out of Salzburg. Everything the EU has said in the last 72 hours about Chequers is what it has been very specifically saying for weeks - and in more general terms for more than two years. We even pointed all of this out shortly before the summit took place.
In all that time we have reported on all of this, quoting EU documents and the key EU individuals. We have quoted facts. However because these facts originate in Brussels they are seldom covered in the mainstream British media.
For Mrs May to act surprised and shocked yesterday by the EU’s stance and behaviour at the Salzburg summit is either totally disingenuous or a political ploy ahead of her party conference. We favour the latter interpretation.
“Tough Theresa”? Hardly. What we observed during Mrs May’s press conference in Salzburg and again in her Downing Street statement yesterday is a woman close to the edge, worried about her survival, and exhibiting some bizarre signs.
Putting aside what we consider to be the incompetence of this Prime Minister in her whole approach to Brexit, and her Remainer credentials, and her clear and complete inability to understand the EU mindset, there must surely be a question to be asked.
IS THERESA MAY STILL FIT TO GOVERN?
This morning we will simply observe that when we looked in detail at the videos of Mrs May in Salzburg and yesterday in Downing Street, we saw a woman close to the edge and acting somewhat irrationally. We’re talking about replaying short clips over and over, before making these observations.
And no, we’re not competent to judge the state of someone’s mind – we are offering the opinion of lay people.
CHANGING THE LEADERSHIP
Senior Tory MPs and ministers should have moved against Mrs May months ago, in our view. For their own political reasons they did not.
Now we merely offer the observation that a sitting Prime Minister might be persuaded to resign on health grounds.
We further suggest that it is surely within the capabilities of the Conservative Party to go through whatever quick process might be needed to re-work the leadership contest rules, at a time of national emergency, in order to expedite a change of leader in short order.
And no, a change of Prime Minister does NOT require a General Election. Not only does it not require one it would be completely unthinkable, with only six months to go before the country enacts the biggest constitutional change in more than a generation.
FINALLY A REMINDER OF AN ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE FACT
Let’s not forget, this is the woman who put an unelected Remainer bureaucrat in charge of Brexit negotiations. Olly Robbins runs No.10’s ‘Europe Unit’ and has "overall responsibility for the preparation and conduct of the negotiations".
On 24 July 2018 the Prime Minister Theresa May announced a formal “Machinery of Government Change” in a statement. The full statement is below.
MACHINERY OF GOVERNMENT CHANGE, THE PRIME MINISTER, 24 JULY 2018
“I am making this statement to bring to the attention of the House a machinery of government change.
“It is essential that in navigating the UK’s exit from the European Union, the Government are organised in the most effective way. To that end I am making some changes to the division of functions between the Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU) and the Cabinet Office.
“DExEU will continue to lead on all of the Government’s preparations for Brexit: domestic preparations in both a deal and a no deal scenario, all of the necessary legislation, and preparations for the negotiations to implement the detail of the future framework. To support this, DExEU will recruit some new staff, and a number of Cabinet Office officials co-ordinating work on preparedness will move to DExEU while maintaining close ties with both Departments.
“I will lead the negotiations with the European Union, with the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union deputising on my behalf. Both of us will be supported by the Cabinet Office Europe Unit and with this in mind the Europe Unit will have overall responsibility for the preparation and conduct of the negotiations, drawing upon support from DExEU and other Departments as required. A number of staff will transfer from DExEU to the Cabinet Office to deliver that.
“There will be no net reduction in staff numbers at DExEU given the recruitment exercise described above.”
This statement was issued in the final hours before Parliament adjourned for the summer recess, giving MPs no time to question it in the House. Bizarrely there was no uproar by them outside the House either.
Now how well has that decision of Theresa May's gone...?

Message: A message to Theresa May:
A bold and courageous woman would never in a million years sit back and allow abuse to this extent. Is this your map of reality Theresa? Because if so, then, you’re giving out the wrong messages to vulnerable young people. You're saying that men can violate your space and boundaries with flattery, hugs and kisses and bullies can humiliate, paw, ignore, kiss, shame and laugh at you? You remind me of the abused children and women I used to see in my work, ingratiating herself to the abuser. Margaret Thatcher would have retaliated with measured and robust language. No stuttering, waffling, “Please like me," hunched shoulders or ever ingratiating herself. MT’s actions would have corresponded with her words, bold, upright, poker-faced, decisive, unshakeable and capable.
AND PARLIAMENT...What’s up with you lot? Why are you allowing a someone without psychological skills into Lion’s cage without some tools or back up? That's cruel, but then the world of politics is masochistic and sadistic. Now, this is a big one for me, (married 54 years), I cannot understand why your husband Philip continues to allow this humiliation? What’s up with the man he should be ashamed of himself! Even David Davies’ wife said ENOUGH! No loving or respectful partner would stand by and watch this happen to a loved one.
ON YOUR PERCIEVED ANGER: Well Theresa this is false evidence appearing real. A SHOW for the audience, (us). It's not anger; find a parent protecting their home, partner and children. That's anger! What you have is just an emotional wound. You're upset because your misguided dream, the one some oily character fed you is in shatters.
Time to be gracious and humble, admit your failings and ask for help from those honest politicians willing to help you, those men and women, who in your arrogance and misplaced pride refused. Recognise that your attitude and behaviour is not of influential leaders or BOLD women, step back, because you need courage and self-esteem when you're dealing with the bullies like Tusk, Barnier, Junker and Merkel. They're cunning predators and latch onto feebleness; they can’t help themselves. It's in their psyche; it's too thrilling for them to stop.
So you must STOP being an appeaser, address your passive-aggressive traits, (which you have) stop running with the hare and the hounds, (which you do) admit you can’t handle these people (which you can’t) and hand over to someone (who can) before you crucify yourself and the nation. There is no shame in admitting you can't handle bullies. You need to stop listening to oily characters that are using and indirectly abusing you.
PS: There is one thing I do agree with; Chequers is not the way to go. Oh and a message to those who wish to remain in this club. If you believe bullying, and playing cat and mouse games is adult mature or acceptable behaviours, then you need help.

Message: Having read PM May's Downing Street address yesterday, she's doing it again; using empty promises to calm our well-founded fears that she's throwing the British to the wolves (the EU bureaucrats). Not delivering a true Brexit. Even now, more than 2 years on, the lies persist. Why did May miss the perfect moment at the Salzburg talks to just leave the Conference, stating discussions are now officially over? Missed telling the Media in Austria, Britain is leaving the EU without a deal. But no, May foils negotiations yet again by clinging on still, saying: 'But I have also been clear that the best outcome is for the UK to leave with a deal.' Damn and blast the woman! She should be saying, 'No deal. We will trade on the World Market.' End of. As to the question is Theresa May unfit to govern? Always has been, right from the start. For two years Remainer May has been shirking from delivering a clean-cut Brexit which we, the British public, voted for. May, you're finished as a Prime Minister.
Name: Chris, Devizes, UK      Date/Time: 22 Sept 2018, 10.25am
Message: Excellent article, and absolutely spot-on and accurate. I agree that May's apparent recent hard line speech is nothing more than a smoke screen ahead of the party conference. She knows that she is in for a rough ride, with Boris poised to deliver a massive splinter group speech on the 'Chuck Chequers' theme. But her protestations will fool no one, and her insistence that Chequers must continue will only guarantee her demise. To answer your headline: Yes, May is completely unfit to govern, or lead the party, or even to be an MP.
On Andrew Neil's recent 'This Week' show, Michael Portillo thinks that Chequers is indeed doomed, and there are now only two ways forward. One is the EFTA/EEA option, and the other is Canada++. He correctly pointed out that Remainers will prefer the former, and Brexiteers the latter.
Name: Brexiteer, Braintree, Essex, UK      Date/Time: 22 Sept 2018, 10.17am
Message: May has been humiliated twice during these so called negotiations, she is the elected representative of the fifth or sixth largest economy in the world, Great Britain. You get the Maltese Prime Minister, a country of half a million people, the size of Leeds, demanding she reject a democratic vote and call another referendum. When will she understand what most of the country understand, we are not going to get a good deal from the EU. Guy Verhofstadt has already boasted on Twitter that the treatment handed out to the UK was to deter Denmark from making a bid for freedom. The EU as a model is in deep trouble if and when anybody leaves the whole model could collapse. May's Chequers plan is dead, the UK should just leave every EU institution just go on March 29th 2019. Trade as we do with the rest of the world on WTO and wait for the EU to approach us for a trade deal. No EU arrest warrant, no security agreement, take back fishing from CFP, no climate change targets, just leave and become totally self governing again.
Name: NOT4EU, London, UK      Date/Time: 22 Sept 2018, 07.42am
Message: The dance of deception continues. May is publicly humiliated, and it's not for the first time either. She listened to no-one. "It's Chequers or no deal", remember? So, there was going to be a statement in the morning - denied by No 10. Then it became a statement at 1.45pm, delayed because there was 'no power' in the room (oh, the irony). I was irritated as it meant that I had to hear the rubbish opinions that the anti-BBC considers news nowadays whilst waiting.
What did she say? Nothing of substance and full of contradictions, except for where the DUP have held her feet to the fire - again. I almost got excited when it sounded like she was going to announce WTO (Chequers or no deal, remember), but it seems more like she's going for Chequers v2 - further capitulation. This thought seems to be confirmed by Tusk's response. So it's not really "Chequers or no deal" is it, Mrs May?
The speech ended abruptly, like she'd forgotten to turn the page for the key final sentence/message. What was that? This speech of meaningless strong words is just to prevent her total humiliation at Conference and see off a leadership bid, buying time to complete her surrender. A true leader, who believed in Britain, would have followed through with the oft repeated mantra "Chequers or no deal" threat, giving certainty to everyone that we ARE leaving properly on 29th March. Then again, what can we really expect from a remain PM who appoints a remain cabinet, with a remain Exit Committee, remain Parliament and Lords, which is supported by a remain MSM and remain Snivel Serpents?
The betrayal of our country continues.

 SCOTS FOR LEAVE
BECOMES THE 11TH
PRO-BREXIT GROUP TO ENDORSE

Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org is delighted to announce that 'Scots For Leave' has become the 11th pro-Brexit organisation to endorse our ‘Brexit Battle Pack’.
11 pro-Brexit groups including its creators Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org are now all backing this initiative, designed to give ordinary voters the tools they need to fight back against the Remainer Establishment’s attempts to thwart Brexit.
Specifically the Pack provides all the information that people need if they want to actually do something, rather than just get mad. And most of it can be done without even leaving your chair!
If you haven’t already done so, get busy
SCOTS FOR LEAVE’S SPOKESPERSON COMMENTED:
“Scots For Leave have pleasure in endorsing the Facts4EU Brexit Battle Pack. It is very well thought through.
“The voices of the people are being ignored, increasingly, and the Brexit Battle Pack is just what is needed to help us to get our voices heard where they need to be heard. For me personally, the most useful section is on contacting the media.
“Scots For Leave would also like to express our thanks to Facts4EU for all the information and insights it provides, day in, day out, meticulously researched, often revealing information hidden from the general public. This is particularly valuable up here in Scotland, where misconceptions about the EU are not uncommon.”
- Alison, spokesperson for Scots For Leave
WHO ARE SCOTS FOR LEAVE?
Scots for Leave are a grassroots movement in Scotland, welcoming people from all political parties and none, who simply want to respect the democratic will of the people (17.4 million) who want a true Brexit.
The group is currently headquartered in Stirling and Perthshire and has an active following on Facebook, as well as organising events across Scotland. Join them here!
Their leadership team includes unionists, trade unionists, people who support Scottish Independence, business owners, and employees, thereby encompassing a broad range of opinions. The common thread uniting all members is the desire for a good clean Brexit.
OTHER PRO-BREXIT ORGANISATIONS
© All logos copyright of each organisation
Above you can see the impressive number of organisations who have endorsed the Brexit Battle Pack already.
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org welcomes contact with all pro-Brexit organisations regarding the Brexit Battle Pack and Toolbox. The reaction from the general public to the Pack has been overwhelming and they have also been delighted to see so many Brexit organisations coming together.
We have contacted other organisations who have yet to respond, but if you somehow missed your invitation please get in touch with us now. The more the merrier!
OBSERVATIONS
FINALLY - DO SOMETHING TODAY!
Finally, to everyone reading this please remember that this Pack is there to be used by you. A significant amount of work went into compiling it, and in securing the endorsement of other groups.
We really hope you will take at least one action today.
Oh, and as one of the poorest but most prolific Brexit groups out there, we are desperately in need of donations towards the cost of producing and promoting the Pack!

 ONLY AN IDIOT
WITH A REMAINER AGENDA
COULD NOW SUPPORT CHEQUERS
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, MAY WE PRESENT
© EU Council, Salzburg, Sep 2018
MRS THERESA MARY MAY
Yesterday in Salzburg the biggest non-news of the year was announced by the EU.
“Everybody shared the view that … the suggested framework for economic cooperation [Chequers] will not work.”
- (unelected) EU Council President Donald Tusk, 20 Sep 2018, speaking for the EU27
“The only proposal on the table [Chequers] … is the proposal we have put forward in the White Paper”
- UK Prime Minister the Rt Hon Theresa May MP, 20 Sep 2018, speaking for Olly Robbins
The reason for describing the EU’s total rejection of Mrs May’s Chequers proposals, drawn up by the unelected civil servant Olly Robbins and his ‘Europe Unit’ in No.10, as “non-news” is because these proposals have repeatedly been rejected by the EU in various ways for the past two and a half months.
FULL TEXT OF EU COUNCIL PRESIDENT TUSK’S STATEMENT ON CHEQUERS
TUSK STATEMENT – CLOSE OF SALZBURG INFORMAL SUMMIT
“At our EU27 working lunch today we had a good discussion on Brexit, which once again reconfirmed our full unity. Let me highlight three points.
First, we reconfirmed that there will be no Withdrawal Agreement without a solid, operational and legally binding Irish backstop. And we continue to fully support Michel Barnier in his efforts to find such a model.
Second, we agreed to have a joint political declaration that provides as much clarity as possible on the future relations. Everybody shared the view that while there are positive elements in the Chequers proposal, the suggested framework for economic cooperation will not work. Not least because it risks undermining the Single Market.
Third, we also discussed the timetable for further negotiations. The moment of truth for Brexit negotiations will be the October European Council. In October we expect maximum progress and results in the Brexit talks. Then we will decide whether conditions are there to call an extraordinary summit in November to finalise and formalise the deal.
Thank you.”

MRS MAY’S STATEMENT, PLUS Q&A WITH JOURNALISTS
A clearly rattled Theresa May gave a press conference and made a statement, followed by a small number of questions.
OBSERVATIONS
Perhaps it is typical of the EU that it has taken them two and a half months to hold a summit where Chequers would be discussed, but that is by-the-by.
The EU has at last delivered the coup de grace to the cornerstone of the British Prime Minister’s entire Brexit strategy since she decided to sideline completely her DExEU Dept led by David Davis, back in March.
CHARITY STOPS AT HOME
The most charitable thing one can say about Theresa May’s handling of Brexit is that it has been wholly incompetent.
The least charitable thing that can be said is that she has combined this incompetence with a covert agenda to subvert the British people’s decision to leave the EU, by delivering a non-Brexit Brexit.
In either version, there can surely be no doubt that Mrs May is not the person to be leading the country at this most critical moment in its history.
For the reasons why she is still in place, we regret to say that one can only look to the MPs who have kept her in power.

Message: May's behaviour has now become totally bizarre. Not only is she a compulsive liar, but she is completely deluded - mentally ill. Her latest rambling statement from No.10 is full of contradictions. She puts forward reasons why the EFTA/EEA option is unacceptable and does not honour the referendum result, yet her Chequers plan has the exact same issues. She should be sectioned.

Message: Having listened to the presentation by May, it is lie upon lie. However, Norway does have to accept some freedom of movement and shadows the European Court? If the Commission feared that May would allow leaving on WTO terms with matching EU tariffs, they would agree a zero tariff deal overnight and the Irish big mouth would be unable to veto anything without wrecking his farming industry. But they know that May is either a turkey or a collaborator.

Message: Boris described the Chequers proposal as "like polishing a turd". If you should stop digging when you are in a hole, you should also stop polishing when everyone tells you that the turd stinks.

Message: The eu and mrs may are deliberately sabotaging brexit. They are in collaboration to make it look like there is just no good deal to be had. Then mrs may will say, well I tried, but this is all I could get. I feel the eu commission think we would never leave on wto terms, and T may doesn't have the balls to do it. Leaving on wto terms is now the only brexit, but no.10 are avoiding that outcome so much that it becomes self-fulfilling that we can't leave on wto. T may is in the viper pit with no where to go. This party is only just getting started.

Message: I see all 27 leaders of the remaining EU countries have called on May to call another referendum. What is it about democracy that these people do not understand? We the British people voted to leave the EU, the UK is not some third world banana republic that will change its mind after a large dose of fear. But nobody has said what happens if a new referendum returns the same result. Presumably the EU will try and rig the result in their favour so that doesn't happen. We are a fully functioning democracy, and have more than a thousand years of history. We will survive trading on WTO terms if we have to, it's the EU that will have the greater problems. Once the UK leaves the EU comfort blanket of external tariffs protection it will be a short term shock, but suppliers of food stuffs and services will be queuing up to replace the EU. It's very easy to lose markets almost impossible once you do that to regain them. The EU sells far more to us than we do to them.

Message: A BIG 'THANK YOU' to D. Tusk and the members of the EU council, who very kindly gave Mrs May a wake-up message on dealing with the EU. There is NO 'deep and special relationship', you, Mrs May are being played for a fool. Short of slapping her round the head with a 2x4, this must surely make her Chuck Chequers and realise she's just not up to the job. As Mr. Junker has now said the EU is prepared for no deal, and the UK, we are told by the Government, is also prepared for no deal, then we're all set for leaving in March, and can spend the £39 billion on our own needs!

 A PRIME MINISTER CONFUSED?
"So plain wrong, false and incorrect
as to be grotesque”
GUEST ARTICLE BY EDWARD SPALTON
CHAIRMAN OF THE CAMPAIGN FOR AN INDEPENDENT BRITAIN
Theresa May's Brexit video                               © HMG
The Prime Minister has addressed the nation personally in a video (link below) ,explaining the proposed Chequers agreement, in particular why she felt that the EEA/EFTA arrangement enjoyed by Norway was unsuitable for us.
She makes several questionable statements. But amongst them is one which stands out as so plain wrong, false and incorrect as to be grotesque.
CONCERNING THE CUSTOMS UNION
Concerning the Customs Union, Mrs May states :
(1) that Norway is in the customs union so
(2) cannot negotiate its own trade agreements with non EU countries
Both these statements are false.
Norway is not in the Customs Union and can make its own trade deals with countries of the wider world outside the EU.
Now, if her statement were true, it would be a good reason for avoiding the Norwegian arrangement. But it is not true.
How long has she believed this falsehood? Who advised her? Her policy seems to have been based on this false premise since her Lancaster House speech of January 2017. It was at that time when our highly experienced ambassador to the EU, Sir Ivan Rogers, resigned.
In his farewell letter, Sir Ivan urged his colleagues to “speak truth to power” especially when the truth was unwelcome. In this matter, it would appear that they either have not spoken or have not been heeded by the government.
To express the matter in parliamentary terms, it would appear that the Right Honourable Lady, the Prime Minister, has uttered a serious terminological inexactitude for which a retraction and apology are due. It is also urgent for people to know how she will amend her current policy, as it has been based on this serious misunderstanding up to now.
THE IGNORANCE OF MPs AND MINISTERS
Over some four decades of opposition to our membership of the EU and its predecessor organisations, I have ceased to be surprised by the ignorance of MPs and ministers. Yet I never thought the Prime Minister with the advice of our expert civil service could be so plainly wrong on such a basic point.
It is a serious enough matter to mislead Parliament but personally to mislead a whole nation compounds the error to gigantic proportions.
A prominent, prompt retraction and apology would be in order.

Message: Anyone who has listened to MPs on the radio would realise most speak in sound bites, and don't appear to understand what the whole EU project is about. The only ones who do know what they are talking about are the Eurosceptics MPs, mainly because they can see the wider total EU federal agenda that is evolving. The same could be said of the general public they are not interested in the EU, other than easy holiday movement and cheap mobile phone roaming charges. It is this ignorance by all of us that has allowed the EU to dominate so much of our lives. The EU was supposed to be about a trading block originally, now it covers almost every aspect of our lives from the cradle to the grave. But this ignorance of MPs and general public is not by chance it's the EU agenda. They don't want the people to know what is really happening to their countries. The aim is for an EU federalist agenda to be so far advanced it would be too late to stop. The lasting legacy of the UK Brexit vote is that the 450 million people of the EU have now awoken to the stealth tactics of the EU federalists. The people can through the ballot box define their own countries destiny within or outside the EU.
