NEW CITIZENSHIPS GRANTED
IN EU IN 2016
HOW THE CITIZENSHIP OF THE EU
CONTINUES TO CHANGE SIGNIFICANTLY
TOP 5 NATIONALITIES GRANTED CITIZENSHIPS IN EU COUNTRIES IN 2016:-
  • Moroccans - 101,300
  • Albanians - 67,500
  • Indians - 47,700
  • Pakistanis - 37,900
  • Turks - 32,800
  • TOTAL - 994,800
A Brexit Facts4EU.Org summary
Latest figures released by the EU’s statistical body Eurostat show that EU countries granted 994,800 citizenships during 2016. Of these, 863,340 were granted to non-EU nationals.
In purely numerical terms, the top 5 countries granting citizenships to non-EU nationals were Italy, Spain, the UK, France and Germany.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
NEW NATIONALITIES AS A PROPORTION OF POPULATION SIZE
As a percentage of existing populations, however, the UK falls to 11th place in terms of total number of nationalities granted. Sweden granted the most citizenships to non-EU nationals in comparison to its size, followed by Luxembourg, Cyprus, Malta, Italy, Spain and Greece.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
WHERE DID THE NEW EU CITIZENS COME FROM?
The top 20 non-EU recipient nationalities of new EU citizenships makes for strange reading. The top 5 non-EU nationalities were Moroccans, Albanians, Indians, Pakistanis, and Turks. Naturally the UK was responsible for the majority of Indians and Pakistanis. In third place for the UK were Nigerians.

BRITS CHANGING THEIR NATIONALITY TO THAT OF AN EU27 COUNTRY
120,235 citizens of EU countries changed their nationality to that of another EU country. Eurostat is keen to report that there was a substantial increase of UK citizens who became citizens of another EU member state in 2016. They highlight that the number "more than doubled from 2,478 people in 2015 to 6,555 people in 2016, or +165%".
In fact, even though the number did increase dramatically, it still only represents 5.5% of the total citizens of EU countries who changed their nationality to that of another EU state. If this had been proportionate to the UK's population the figure should have been 15,400 instead of 6,555.
In other words, far fewer British people change their nationalities to that of another EU state than the average for citizens of EU countries.
When looking at the nationalities of existing EU citizens changing their country of EU citizenship, Romanians came top, followed by Poles.
OBSERVATIONS
Much is spoken of immigration into the EU – particularly the illegal crossing of borders. The granting of citizenships will of course lag behind immigration by many years.
In the coming years the current number of new citizenships is likely to rise rapidly, mostly with people from countries like Syria and Iraq, and then with those from Africa, following the trend in irregular immigration which we have seen in the last few years. This illegal immigration into the EU is predominantly from the African continent.

 2 SENIOR CONSERVATIVES
- FORMER CABINET MINISTERS -
STAND UP FOR A
TRUE, CLEAN BREXIT
On Saturday and Sunday Brexit Facts4EU.Org got the exclusive thoughts of two very senior and highly-respected Conservative MPs.
Both of these MPs has significant ministerial experience of the EU. Both of them appear to have been very uncomfortable with the continual acquiescence of the May government to all of the EU's demands.
Both of them are loyal Conservative MPs, but both of them were prepared to speak out against the Government's new policy to abandon the UK's fishermen for another 2 years during Mrs May's Transition Period, when the EU can simply change the rules and put them out of business without the UK having any vote whatsoever.
SERIOUS CONSERVATIVE MPs TALK TO FACTS4EU.ORG
07 & 08 APRIL 2018

RT HON OWEN PATERSON MP
“The Common Fisheries Policy has been a biological, environmental, economic and social disaster.”
“Only by taking back full democratic control of our maritime waters can we apply the lessons and technologies from other successful independent sovereign states so restoring our marine environment bringing investment, jobs and prosperity back to some of our most remote coastal communities.”
- Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP, Former Sec of State, Environment (incl. fisheries)
RT HON JOHN REDWOOD MP
“It is important we take back control of our fish and fishing industry next year when we leave the EU. Our fishing industry was sold short when we joined the EEC and has been much damaged by our membership.”
“It is time we took back control, as we voted to do almost two years ago. We must not let the industry down again.”
- Rt Hon John Redwood MP, Former Sec of State for Wales, Minister for Single Market

LEAVING THE CFP WAS CONSERVATIVE POLICY FROM 2005
If you would like a fuller understanding of all the issues, here is an excellent paper written by the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP for the Think-Tank UK2020 in November last year. This builds on considerable work that Mr Paterson has done over the years.
Back in 2005 he wrote a Conservative 'Green Paper' which was adopted by the then Leader, Michael Howard. In it, the policy clearly laid out is to leave the Common Fisheries Policy, as part of a gradual withdrawal from aspects of EU membership. You can read this report here.
OBSERVATIONS
It is quite possible that Mrs May is unaware of the long-standing Conservative commitment to leaving the Common Fisheries Policy of the EU. In which case, we will simply say 'You've been served, Madam'.
No Conservative MPs turned up to yesterday's events organised by Fishing for Leave and supported by Facts4EU.Org.
Our editor is therefore sending a personal message to the Government's chief whip.
“Shame on you. It was unwise to have intimidated all Tory MPs into not attending yesterday's events, just as you intimidated them all not to board one of the vessels in the Thames protest last month.”
“Don't be so smug, please. This will come back to bite you. You're an arch-Remoaner but for heaven's sake wake up and smell the coffee. Your beliefs are causing serious long-term damage to your party. Judging from our mailbag we're reaching a point where large numbers of your voters simply won't vote for your party again.”
Here is what this Chief Whip still says on his website: “The vote on 23rd June isn’t just a vote for our generation, but for generations to come. From all I have seen in business and as an MP, I urge you to vote Remain.” He was also part of Theresa May's campaign team when she stood for the leadership after David Cameron resigned in June 2016.
If you would like to read in full the Remain thoughts of the Government Chief Whip (appointed by Theresa May as recently as 02 November 2017) you can do so here.
POSITIVE CONSERVATIVES SUPPORTING OUR FISHERMEN
Brexit Facts4EU.Org approached Messrs Paterson and Redwood when it became clear that no Conservative MPs were going to be attending the Fishing for Leave's maritime protest events yesterday, which we branded "Brexit-By-The Sea". See below for many articles about this. Neither we nor Fishing for Leave were able to speak to any Conservative MP who could attend, so we spoke to two whom we knew could not attend but who nevertheless supported the cause of British fishermen.
John Redwood already had a prior engagement when Fishing for Leave announced their events just 10 days ago, and Owen Paterson's prior engagement is with his back, which he broke in a riding accident a few months ago. (He is making a good but slow recovery.) With neither gentlemen able to attend in person we thought you'd like to hear their thoughts via Brexit Facts4EU.Org, because they certainly won't be reported on the BBC.
There has been little cheer for pro-Brexit Conservatives in recent months. We're talking about the Brexit that people voted for, not Mrs May's pale imitation which is really 'Stay In, Pay, Have No Say' after 29th March 2019.
At least we have been able to bring you the thoughts of two stalwart, true Conservatives, who know what Brexit really means.

Message: According to the reports which I have received, not one single MP saw fit to turn out and give support to the deserving fisherman who last weekend demonstrated their disapproval with regard to Theresa May's sellout of the fishing industry, not even those MPs representing the six locations where the demonstrations took place.
I think it would be appropriate to name the MPs concerned and these are as follows:
PLYMOUTH - J.Mercer (Con) & Luke Pollard (Lab); PORTSMOUTH - Penny Mordaunt (Con) & Stephen Morgan (Lab); WHITSTABLE - Rosie Duffield (Lab); HASTINGS - Amber Rudd (Con); MILFORD HAVEN - Stephen Crabb (Con); NEWCASTLE ON TYNE - Represented by 4 Labour MPs
It would appear that all of these MPs prefer to support their party, rather than the best interests of their country and they can be said to be sadly lacking in moral fibre. There is something seriously wrong with the current Parliamentary system when MPs can be bullied to toe the party line. rather than represent the best interests of their constituents. Let us hope that this lack of support for Britain's fishermen is remembered, come election time.

FROM BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
ORBAN WINS BIGGER
THAN EU ELITES’
WORST NIGHTMARE
Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary                                    © Fidesz
ANOTHER BIG BLOW DEALT TO EU ELITES,
AS HUNGARY REJECTS EU DOMINATION
Yesterday saw yet another blow against Brussels, as the Hungarian people turned out in record numbers in their general election to give a record third term to Viktor Orban’s Fidesz coalition.
With a majority that other EU leaders can only dream of, Mr Orban’s coalition romped home with two-thirds of the parliamentary seats. With 98.5% of all votes having been counted at 01.57am Monday, when this article is starting to be written, the chart we have created below is unlikely to change except in very minor details.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
THIS TRANSLATES INTO PARLIAMENTARY SEATS AS FOLLOWS:
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s ruling alliance of FIDESZ-KDNP made history yesterday by becoming the first party in Hungary to win three consecutive terms. The government has been composed of Fidesz and their Christian Democrat ally, the KDNP. The new government will have two-thirds of the seats in the Hungarian parliament.
In a jubilant victory speech to supporters in down-town Budapest just before midnight last night the prime minister said:
“A great battle is behind us. We’ve taken a decisive victory. We created the possibility for ourselves to protect Hungary.”
“Today, Hungary took in a great victory… I congratulate the voting citizens. The high turnout left no room for doubts.” Looking ahead he added that “our home is not yet standing where it should, but together we will fight.”
The latter comment was no doubt directed at Brussels, where moves have been made against Hungary and other Visegrad countries as a result of them refusing to accept the EU’s migrant quota dictat.
“EU CAN NO LONGER BURY ITS HEAD IN THE SAND”
Immigration played a prominent role in the Hungarian elections, with Mr Orban making many very clear statements in the last few months. Below we give you a flavour of this, using a radio interview he gave to the Vasárnapi Újság programme two weeks ago, and the comments of his spokesman afterwards.
Viktor Orbán said that post-Brexit three large member states - Italy, Germany and France - will remain, and that Italy has already started to see some of its first changes. The prime minister added that the first breakthrough began during the Italian elections when more than three quarters of the vote opposed immigration and every party that took a pro-migration stance lost positions in the government. Brexit Facts4EU.Org ran articles on this and you can look at one of the key ones here.
Pointing to the tendency in western Europe to limit open debate on this issue, the prime minister called out certain elites who would rather silence discussion of migration and denounce those who do not.
“With the results of the Italian elections, Brussels is finally realising,” he said, “that they no longer have the option to ‘bury their heads in the sand.’”
ORBAN SAYS THE UNSAYABLE
Mr Orbán then turned to several issues directly related to migration and he talked about the battle over Hungary’s status as an immigration country. The prime minister cited pro-migration, Soros-funded organizations as the biggest enemies of Hungary.
“Hungary stands in the way of this plan. If they are unable to break Hungary, if they are unable to dismantle the Hungarian border fence, if they are unable to remove a Hungarian government that stands on national foundations, then Hungary will not become an immigrant country.”
“Migrants will not come here, and the traditional route along which migrants had been transported into Europe will continue to be unavailable to them.”
He advocated a Europe which should affirm its Christian heritage and culture instead. Mr Orban said that once admitted, migrants would be impossible to send them away and then the composition of the Hungarian identity would be altered.
IT’S ALSO THE ECONOMY, STUPID
A major part of the election was also about the economy, as would be expected, and Hungary’s prime minister highlighted the country’s successes. Defying critics, economic policies once referred to as “unorthodox” have succeeded in dropping the unemployment rate from 12 percent to a record-low 3.8 percent while achieving double-digit, real wage growth.
OBSERVATIONS
Today and this week we will no doubt see very guarded congratulations being offered to Viktor Orban by the various unelected officials in Brussels such as EU Commission President Juncker, who once greeted him on camera at an EU Summit with the words “Hello, dictator”.
Unelected EU Council President Donald Tusk will also no doubt tweet something out, through gritted teeth.
We have already seen a tweet from Guy Verhopeless, Belgian MEP and head of the ALDE group in the EU Parliament.
                                    © Twitter / Verhofstadt
It might interest you to know that the Hungarian party called Momentum which Verhopeless advocates in his tweet above - and which is part of his ALDE group in the EU Parliament - got just 2.8% of the vote yesterday.
However as Mr Verhopeless seems to have a very tenuous grasp of the principles of democracy at the best of times, he won't be too troubled by the fact that 97.2% of the Hungarian people did not back his preferred party.
In addition to the EU's general miseries at Viktor Orban and his Fidesz party winning handsomely again, the right-wing Jobbik party also gained 19.5% of the vote and 26 seats, so the overall results represent a crushing defeat for the left-wing ideology of the EU elites.
HUNGARIAN DEMOCRACY “ALIVE AND KICKING”
Viktor Orban with his happy family                                    © Viktor Orban
By contrast, the Hungarian government is very happy.
“Hungarians have sent a clear message that Hungarian democracy is alive and kicking,” said Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács. “The high election turnout is really a celebration of democracy.”
The Hungarian people have spoken in a free and fair election. There has been robust campaigning, and the usual accusations from one party against another which happens in healthy democracies.
The result was a landslide for the ruling Fidesz party of Viktor Orban, which has now been returned to power virtually immediately, unlike the seven months it took the Germans to form a new coalition government after their elections last year.
There will be some very cheesed off Camembert-and-croissant eaters in the corridors of Brussels this morning.

Message: What did the BBC have to say? They tried to make out that Orban would not have an easy run, attitudes were changing. "Viktor Orban presents himself as the defender of Hungary and Europe against Muslim migrants. He hopes to win a third consecutive term as a prime minister who puts national sovereignty before everything else. But critics attack him as a racist and an authoritarian." Then 7 hours ago they reported - Hungary's right-wing Prime Minister Viktor Orban has claimed a landslide victory in Sunday's general election.

TODAY'S THE DAY!
(Read more details, including which ports to go and what time to be there

SUPPORT OUR FISHERMEN,
STAND UP FOR A FULL, CLEAN BREXIT
TODAY!
The team at Brexit Facts4EU.Org urges all readers:-
  • To stop what you’re doing
  • Find your bucket and spade
  • And programme the SatNav for one of the six ports where there will be pro-Brexit rallies today!
We know Sundays are precious for most people. We also know we’re competing with the Bahrain Grand Prix, the US Masters golf, and the Commonwealth Games.
But this is important. We need you to make the effort if you can today, and join thousands of other pro-Brexit folk around the country in a show of support for Brexit and for our poor fishermen who are being sold down the river.
MAKING PLANS FOR NIGEL – WHITSTABLE TODAY
If you’re in London or the home counties, Whitstable in Kent might be a great option for you. If so, you’ll see Nigel Farage once again in full support of our fishermen. Mr Farage always said that the UK leaving the Common Fisheries Policy was a bellweather for whether the UK would truly be leaving the EU.
Unfortunately, the complete volte-face from the government on this has not been encouraging. (Read a full explanation of the problem here.)
If you would like to support Brexit and our fishermen - and see Nigel in person - then Whitstable’s the place to be today.
THE SOUTH-WEST AND OTHER PLACES
Plymouth is such a great city to visit and today it’s another site of the pro-Brexit rallies. Stand and cheer the flotilla of fishermen who will parade by!
We managed to persuade the lovely Dr Julia Reid, MEP for the South-West and Gibraltar, kindly to attend. :) We’re even hopeful of getting her on one of the boats! If you would like to see Julia and her chief of staff Di Bilks, then Plymouth is your destination today.
FULL DETAILS OF WHERE TO GO, WHEN
For your six options of ports, where to go, and what time to be these, we prepared a full list for you.
CALLING CONSERVATIVE MPs
We would like to inform all Conservative MPs that it’s not too late to join in today. We are very happy to help to organise things for you if you wish. You can contact us informally and in confidence to discuss the possibility, or you could contact FFL direct. Several Tory MPs already talk to us privately and the conversations always stay that way.
We really would very much like to see Conservative Members of Parliament showing that they back the UK’s exit from the CFP and the regaining of 200 mile territorial limit. After all, this was official government policy right up until the Prime Minister’s sudden volte-face two weeks ago.
GO ON… JUST DO IT!
We appeal to all patriotic pro-Brexit people around the country to do something different today. Get out of your armchair, find a Union Jack or poster, and visit the nearest of the six “Brexit-By-The-Sea” ports today!
And if you take some photos or video, please send them to us!
This is your chance to be a part of Brexit history. One day you might be happy that you could say “I was there.”

We implore all readers to make the effort this Sunday, and after all, what a great excuse for a breath of sea air!
To our parliamentarian readers - MPs, MEPs, AMs, MSPs - if you are planning to attend please let us know. All politicians who show up will be seen to be standing up for the democratic vote in 2016. This is a VERY popular cause and not one to be missed. Please let us know because we would like to give you publicity if you back the country's fishermen on Sunday.  EU THROWS MORE MONEY
AT SOUTH AFRICA
This is a new piece in our 'EU In South Africa' series.
EU CONTINUES TO IGNORE GENOCIDE CLAIMS
AS IT SPENDS MORE UK TAXPAYER MONEY
The EU has once again been active in South Africa in the last two weeks, with an EU-SA Human Rights Forum in Pretoria, and a subsequent visit yesterday by Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, the Croat Neven Mimica.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY – EU’S FURTHER ACTIONS IN SA
  • EU-SA Human Rights Forum meets for 5th time
  • EU Commissioner visits
  • EU gives additional funds to South Africa
Mr Mimica announced that the EU was providing yet more funds for the South Africa government:
€52 million euros for the new EU programme ‘Employment Promotion through small, micro and medium enterprises Support Programme for South Africa’
€10 million euros for the new ‘Enhancing Legislature Oversight Programme’ to ‘strengthen democracy and good governance through effective execution of the core mandate of the National Parliament and the Provincial Legislatures to legislate, exercise oversight and ensure public participation’.
This is in addition to the hundreds of millions the EU has already committed to South Africa. The money will be provided to the South African government, despite the increasing controversies regarding widespread accusations of fraud and corruption.

Federica Mogherini,
EU Foreign Secretary

"Ten years after the establishment of a strategic partnership with South Africa, the European Union remains very much engaged with the country as a crucial regional and global player. We are looking forward to enhancing our relations with President Ramaphosa and his administration.”
- Neven Mimica, EU Commissioner, South Africa, 06 April 2018
Mr Mimica’s department works broadly under Federica Mogherini’s overall remit and control. Ms Mogherini is the Italian former communist who is the most powerful woman in the EU, controlling the EU’s new military forces and budget as well as its foreign policy.
She is also the woman who will have responsibility for the EU’s relationship with the UK after 29th March next year. To date she has never shown herself to be a natural friend of the UK.
In his statements yesterday, Commissioner Mimica did not mention the crisis of attacks, torture and murders on farms which are predominantly white-owned and which are due to be expropriated by the state later this year.

We reported extensively on this growing problem. Our latest piece is here, where we provide further charts and analysis.
EU-SA HUMAN RIGHTS FORUM
It may come as some surprise to many South Africans that for the last four years there has been a ‘South Africa-European Union Structured Dialogue Forum on Human Rights’ (SA-EU SDF).
This was set up by the EU in 2014 as a vehicle for ‘cooperation and dialogue between the parties’. Its objectives run to many words but the synopsis is that it is supposed to talk about:
- Promotion, protection and fulfilment of human rights, democratic principles, rule of law, accountable governance and accountable electoral processes;
- Pursuit of common approaches in multilateral for a, inn particular around the promotion of the mandate of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to enhance cooperation and constructive dialogues including joint strategies;
- Develop practical trilateral partnerships with third countries aimed at deepening democracy, democratic governance, rule of law, good governance, accountable electoral processes and the practical enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms;
- Work towards presentation of joint initiatives within the UN Human Rights System based on the priorities of the parties
- Joint and constructive contribution to the adequate functioning of the United Nations Human Rights Council as the principal human rights body within the United Nations with the mandate to promote, protect and fulfil human rights and fundamental freedoms.
- EU Commission, April 2018
At the latest forum held last week, a series of priorities was developed. The EU’s top priority follows:-
“The South African domestic implementation of programmes for the empowerment of women and girls including gender equality. The two parties agreed that more needs to be done in terms of gender sensitive budgeting and the significantly increased funding of civil society organisations active in this sector in order to keep the agenda alive and visible.”
It seems that for the EU, gender equality trumps the state seizing private property and the growing level of violence and murder against the rural communities.
OBSERVATIONS
South Africa has been the beneficiary of hundreds of millions of euros of EU taxpayers’ money and yesterday’s announcement shows that there is no sign of this stopping.
It is almost impossible to give you an exact total of just how much the EU has given to the South African governments of Mr Zuma and now Mr Ramaphosa. The reason is the usual one – the true total is buried within a myriad of ‘funds’ for this, that and the other.
We can tell you that the EU allocated €268 million to South Africa in 2014, but it’s anyone’s guess what the total amount really is this decade. We could do this work but our very limited resources are better spent on other things. Perhaps the BBC’s South Africa editor could do this instead?
In a few months’ time the government of President Ramaphosa will bring forward a constitutional law allowing it to take land and assets from citizens without compensation.
Yes, you read that right. A supposedly democratic country, fully supported by the EU in every way will begin to act like a communist state in post-revolutionary mode, seizing the land and assets of its people. The justification is very nebulous but essentially revolves around the demands of the Marxist-Leninist EFF party of Julius Malema that whites should have their property seized.
The actions and words of Mr Malema and his party place them on the very fringes of democracy – to be extremely charitable - and indeed their incitements to violence against the minority white population of South Africa can really only be seen as being racist and unlawful, were they to be uttered in an EU country.
Nevertheless, this party is in parliament in South Africa, and the ruling ANC governing party are moving closer to the ideology of the fast-growing EFF for fear of losing votes to them.
WHAT ISN’T THE EU DOING AND WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Despite the very troubling political background in South Africa, and despite what appears to be a systematic campaign of murder, torture and violence against the white minority in rural communities, the EU is happy to continue backing the regime there.
It is also the case that positive discrimination laws in South Africa have now gone way beyond what was ever envisaged by Nelson Mandela in the days following the famous 1994 collapse of apartheid. It is hard to see how laws there can in any way be seen as being fair and balanced.
Against this backdrop, the EU continues to hold its ‘human rights forum’ without any apparent criticism or questioning about what is going on. And a week later it gives still more EU taxpayer money to the South African government.
With all this going on, you - dear citizen of the EU(!) - would be in the dark unless people like us and a few others tried to shine a light on all of this.
All of this matters because it shows what the EU is like as an organisation. The more stories we relate about the murky world of the EU and its dealings, the more people will see the EU for what it is.
For Brexit this is important because of the constant stream of Remoaner propaganda trying to overturn the biggest democratic vote in UK history. These Remoaners are still trying to paint a picture of the ideal EU they think exists and unfortunately many people are still receptive to this nonsense. The EU these Remoaners talk about exists only in their imagination and it’s essential that we prove this continuously.
It is also important for the causes we highlight, such as this deterioration of South Africa into an EU-backed totalitarian regime where (mostly) whites are being systematically attacked and murdered. In each case these pieces of research show up the EU for the dysfunctional monstrosity that it is, and also highlight serious issues like this one.

Message: President Jacob Zuma who was deposed as President of South Africa in February and has now been charged with corruption. He has a personal fortune estimated at $645 million dollars, obviously political office is well rewarded in South Africa. South Africa is run by the ANC which is an openly Marxist organisation, one of the government policies is to take over all white run farms with no compensation. I am sure Federica Mogherini will get on well with the South African Government and their political beliefs. EU aid monies will be well received.

LED BY BRITAIN’S FISHERMEN
THIS SUNDAY
Your Chance To Play Your Part In Brexit History
It looks like this is going to be an important day in the history of Brexit.
Already we're hearing from readers who are organising minibuses to go to the nearest port where a pro-Brexit Fishing For Leave demonstration will be taking place.
It looks like a large number of people have had enough and will be heading for Britain's coastlines on Sunday, to show their support for our fishermen and to show their frustrations at the capitulations of Mrs May in the Brexit negotiations.
We can also help to coordinate with FFL for you, to ensure maximum publicity.

 GERMANY TAKES
4 TIMES MORE
FROM SINGLE MARKET THAN UK
UK’S SHARE OF SINGLE MARKET IS ONLY 5.6%
THIS IS ONE-THIRD OF WHAT IT SHOULD BE
In 2017, Germany’s share of the EU’s internal market (the ‘Single Market’) was FOUR TIMES bigger than that of the UK.
This is according to the EU’s own statistics agency Eurostat and these are the latest figures, relating to last year.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
What you are looking at above is the share of each member state’s exports to its fellow members – what is known as ‘Intra-EU trade’. In other words, you’re seeing what each country sells to the rest, as a proportion of the total.
WHAT SHOULD IT LOOK LIKE, BASED ON SIZE OF EACH ECONOMY?
If we re-do the chart, based on what would be expected from the relative size of each economy, the position would look very different.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
The official EU figures from Eurostat for 2017 show that the UK was the second-largest economy - again.
The UK should be on 15.2%, based on Eurostat's figures. Unfortunately the reality is different as you can see. The UK’s share of the Single Market is only 5.6%, not the 15.2% you would expect.
The UK’s single market share is the same as Spain’s, which has an economy exactly half the size of the UK’s economy. It is barely any higher than Poland’s, which has an economy only one 5th (20%) the size of the UK.
OBSERVATIONS
We are always looking for ways to show the British people at a glance the reality of the EU and the UK. If you watch the BBC, ITN or Sky News you would be forgiven for thinking that:-
  1. The UK is a minor player – an unimportant part of the EU, just one of 28 countries
  2. The UK benefits in far more ways than we can possibly realise, from the ultra-generous EU
This is such a long way from reality.
What you see in the two charts above has been true for years. The exact figures vary from year to year but the overall picture has shown that the UK has an absurdly small share of the Single Market which Remoaners can’t stop talking about.
In fact the UK’s share of the Single Market has actually fallen by 14% in the last 10 years, from 6.5% to 5.6%.
Over and over again in the last few years we’ve demonstrated the inherent unfairness to the UK of a wide variety of the EU’s activities. Somehow, when money is being spent it’s always the UK that seems to be contributing a disproportionately high amount.
Conversely when supposed benefits of an EU initiative are being talked about, it transpires that either the UK isn’t eligible to receive anything, or the UK receives a fraction of what far smaller countries are getting.
We deal in the reality of the EU. We bother to research it and bring you the results of this research distilled into what we hope are bite-sized chunks.
It sometimes seems to us that the ‘luvvie’ Remoaners – even the supposedly educated ones holding Oxbridge professorships – wouldn’t know a fact about the EU if it came up and unexpectedly bit them in the a posteriori.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY – SHARE OF EXPORTS IN INTERNAL EU MARKET
  • UK makes only 1/3rd of what it should from the Single Market – only 5.6% of total
  • The rest of the EU does very well out of it, thank you
  • Germany’s share of the Single Market is 4 times that of the UK
There are expressions which describe what has happened to the UK for decades in the EU. Unfortunately these involve slightly graphic and ‘anglo-saxon’ metaphors which we will not print here. You can probably think of one of two.
It takes longer to find and produce simple ways of showing what’s going on - such as this article and its charts - than it does to write an academic essay. Sounds silly we know, but it’s true.
Frankly we don’t care about writing stuff for a few hundred people and developing our ‘reputations’ or ‘media profiles’. We write for everyone, we tell the facts, and we try to do so simply. People who voted Remain were lied to on an epic scale. Those lies make the Vote Leave’s idiotic bus poster look completely inconsequential. We will continue to throw a bright Brexit light on the lies and point up the bright and positive future which lies ahead, with your support.
If you’re not already helping to keep this hard-working team together and fighting, please consider becoming a Supporter. Thank you.

Message: It's not about trade or money, what about self determination, a sovereign Parliament that you vote for, that are accountable to the electorate? Do you really want to be sent into war fighting for the European Commission and a federal state? If we are still in the EU that could be a distinct possibility. Remember how close to conflict Russia and the EU were over Ukraine? With an army controlled by unelected and unaccountable EU officials what could possible go wrong? Britain is better off out the EU. As a sovereign state we elect and can sack the MPs that make our laws that we and they have to live by. Inside the EU the laws are determined by the Commission and handed down to all 28 countries and we have to abide by their decisions, and we cannot sack them.

Message: Interesting piece but you need to take a further step. Compile a +/- table showing which countries have a trade surplus with the rest of the EU and which have a deficit. Purpose: surely those that have a trade surplus (benefit) should pay net, the most into the EU, and those that have a deficit should receive from the EU... Methinks if this were adopted, we'd vote remain... :)

OBSERVATIONS
Naturally with only limited resources on the part of FFL it's a miracle that this series of events is happening at all. Please do not be surprised if some of the details change slightly over the next couple of days. Don't worry, if that happens we will update the details you see here.
It's even possible that other ports may be added. And when we hear any news about any MPs attending we will of course let you know.
This is one day: Sunday 8th April 2018. We have never before asked readers for anything other than financial support. Usually we confine ourselves to researching and reporting original and interesting Brexit facts and news. Now we are asking something special of you.
Would you be prepared to join thousands of true pro-Brexit folk and descend on some of Britain’s coastal communities this Sunday? Will you show your support for our fishermen, wave Union Jacks, sing songs if you feel like it, and generally make your voice heard in a massive, peaceful protest taking place across the country? Will you call out to reclaim our 200 mile territorial waters?

OH WE DO LIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE
A CAMPAIGNING PIECE BY THE BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG TEAM
MASS PRO-BREXIT
PROTESTS IN
PORTS NATIONWIDE
LED BY BRITAIN’S FISHERMEN
THIS SUNDAY
Your Chance To Play Your Part In Brexit History
This Sunday 8th April, mass protests will take place around the coast of Britain, organised by the campaigning organisation Fishing For Leave.
Depending on the location, these protests will include flotillas of boats, EU flag burning, and possibly even the deliberate torching of a boat to signify the damage to the UK’s fishing industry and coastal communities, caused by the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy.
WHY PROTEST NOW?
The reason for the urgency is because of the Government’s complete U-turn on the fishery industry announced by Mrs May and the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP (Secretary of State for DEFRA) two weeks ago. Previously they had promised that the UK would exit the Common Fisheries Policy on 29th March next year – the supposed date of Brexit.
Just two weeks after they promised this, they reneged, as part of Mrs May’s acquiescence to the EU’s demands in order to get a transition and withdrawal deal agreed.
This was categorical and is not debatable - nor is it a matter of 'interpretation'. Please see our articles here and here about this in the last 4 weeks.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
In simple terms, during Mrs May’s Transition Period, the UK will have no say on anything. Unless the fishing industry is specifically exempted – and it has actually been specifically included - Britain’s fishermen will be trapped in the regime of the CFP and the EU can enact whatever changes it wants. The UK government will be powerless.
These changes are likely to lead to the further erosion of the UK’s fleet as the EU can legislate to put more of the fleet out of business.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
"But the Government says we will leave the CFP on 01 Jan 2021 – isn’t that okay?"
No. If the UK fleet is eroded further this would then allow the EU to use international law, (UNCLOS Article 62.2), which says that if a nation no longer has the capacity to catch its own resources it must give the surplus to its neighbours.
As Alan Hastings, spokesman of FFL said:
“The EU would be free easily to eradicate what is left of our fleet
and has every incentive to do so”.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
If you would like an opportunity to make a direct protest against Mrs May’s total sell-out and surrender to the EU, as represented by the transition and withdrawal deal, now is your chance.
The day of mass protests – THIS COMING SUNDAY, 8th APRIL – has been initiated by Fishing for Leave (FFL).
As Fishing for Leave's founder, trawler skipper Aaron Brown told Facts4EU.Org yesterday:
“Not bad for 2 weeks planning and minimal resources eh?”
OBSERVATIONS
WHY NOT MAKE THIS BIGGER?
Why not make this a wonderful reason for everyone to visit the seaside?! By going to one of the ports where protests are being organised, you could have a fun day out AND support Britain’s fishermen AND show Mrs May what you think of her capitulation to the EU.
Above we gave you the basic information about each port, times, etc. Later today we will provide more detailed information for each port.
Whilst the protests have been organised by Fishing for Leave, and most people would rally behind them, this issue of the sell-out by Mrs May goes much further. We encourage all who have serious concerns at the constant surrenders by Mrs May to the EU's demands to mobilise on Sunday.
WORKING TOGETHER
Many times we have been asked why pro-Brexit groups don’t work together. Our answer has always been the same. We’ve tried on many occasions, with many organisations, to suggest a tie-up, a takeover (of us), or even just an informal arrangement to share information in advance. All we care about is achieving a full, clean Brexit, as efficiently as possible and we are party-neutral.
Brexit Facts4EU.Org is proud to be fully behind our fishermen and we back this action by Fishing For Leave (FFL) completely. We’ve seen that Westmonster are also backing this. No sign of anyone else yet but we hope more may join in today.
Like us, FFL are a small, hardworking team surviving on very few funds. In an effort to take some of the burden off them in the 3 days before Sunday, we’re happy to field any questions you might have. We will also coordinate any offers of help for the distribution of leaflets – 30,000 have been printed and we need people to don an FFL t-shirt and get them out there. Let us know if you can help and we’ll pass any offers on to FFL in batches.
BBC UNLIKELY TO BE MUCH HELP
It would be surprising if the BBC gave much mention of this series of events before they happen on Sunday, so we also need your help in getting the message out in any other ways you can think of. We will be tweeting regularly about this – please retweet our messages. The hastag is #CoastalCommunitiesCount.
Can you call into your local radio station? What about the local press? Do you own a boat and could you join a flotilla? Let us know. We’ll collate things into manageable ‘chunks’ to forward to FFL.
FFL have a following. So do we, plus we have a readership which includes powerful politicians from the UK and abroad. FFL are hoping for many MPs to join the protests on Sunday. We urge all our MP readers to give up part of their precious Sundays and show their solidarity with our fishermen. This is always a net vote winner. If you would like a confidential off-the-record chat before speaking to FFL, please contact us and our editor will call you. He is 100% discrete.
However this isn’t nearly enough. We need your help to get the message out there to millions. Let’s bring a new meaning to the phrase “swamping the coastal defences”!
THIS COULD BE BIG – PLAY YOUR PART IN BREXIT HISTORY
Our media is only too delighted to showcase anti-Brexit people. Let the majority shout for once!
If you have been frustrated at Mrs May’s capitulation to the EU at every stage of the Brexit negotiations, now’s your chance to express your feeings. Be seen, be heard. Be part of one of the biggest slices of Brexit demonstration history.
Be at one of these ports on Sunday. Fun for all the family! Spend your money there to support the local community. Shout out your support for our fishermen as they sail by.
Above all, show the government that they must think again.
FINALLY, PLEASE WATCH THIS AND PLEASE GO TO ONE OF THE PORTS ON SUNDAY!

 “FOR MIGRATION”
SAYS EU’S FAVOURED MIGRATION AGENCY
Easter Message from IOM                                    © Twitter / IOM
JUST CHECKING YOU'RE OKAY WITH THAT?
We're still catching up with Easter messages. This one comes from the EU's partner in migration matters, the IOM - the United Nations Migration Agency.
The IOM’s full title is ‘International Organisation for Migration’ and it operates with the hastag #ForMigration. As you can see, it does not hide which side of the open borders argument it is on and it is therefore highly political in nature.
The EU now works extremely closely with the IOM. We have covered this story for a few years – since before the IOM became the ‘UN Agency Migrations Agency’. These days it uses both names, confusingly.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT MASS EU IMMIGRATION, KNOW ABOUT THE IOM
Easter Message from IOM                                                       © Twitter / IOM
Above is the video that the IOM sent out for Easter. Note how it starts with a triumphant scene of a boat of illegal migrants moving through the beautiful azure blue Mediterranean waters before arriving on a shore, accompanied by uplifting music.
The subtitles say that migrants are discriminated, forgotten, smuggled, trafficked, missing, ignored, grateful (this word had a background of happy migrants on a commercial airliner), skilled, compassionate, hopeful, resourceful, ambitious, successful, and human. The IOM then says 244 million are on the move. Then it provides its key messages:
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY - THE IOM'S KEY MESSAGES
  • Migration is inevitable
  • Migration is necessary
  • Migration is desirable
The video ends with the IOM's hashtag "#ForMigration".
EU IS TOLD MORE AFRICANS MUST BE RESETTLED IN EU
"Mass migration to Europe isn’t going to end – not for decades."
William Swing, Director-General, UN Migration Agency, Jan 2017
In February last year the EU’s leaders met in Valetta, Malta, to discuss the continuing crisis of mass immigration from African countries via Libya.
On the eve of the EU Summit meeting, two major international pro-migrant lobby groups issued a statement calling on the EU to do more. The two groups were the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
IOM AND UNHCR STATEMENT - 03 FEB 2017
“Concrete measures … should include a significant expansion of opportunities for safe pathways such as resettlement and humanitarian admission, among others, to avoid dangerous journeys.”
A LITTLE BACKGROUND (BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET THIS FROM THE BBC)
THE IOM - THE UN’S 'MIGRATION AGENCY'
In September 2016 the IOM combined with the UN and is now the “UN Migration Agency”. The IOM’s budget was USD $1.4 billion in 2014 and it's based in Switzerland (of course). We can’t tell you much more, because the IOM is a secretive organisation which hasn't made its accounts or audits available publicly.
EU ELITES HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH PRO-MIGRANT IOM FOR YEARS
What is even more troubling is the close relationship which the IOM has had for years with the EU’s elites. Meetings take place regularly at high level, and the EU seems to place considerable reliance on what the IOM think.
It is very clear that the IOM supports significant migration into the EU.

EU COMMISSION ENDORSED IOM POLICY
In February 2016 the EU Commission published a statement in which they quoted the Director-General of the IOM, William Swing :
“Migration will for the foreseeable future remain a dominant feature of Europe’s political, social and economic landscape. Arrivals to Europe will continue, as the drivers of forced migration have not changed.”
In Mar 2017 they quoted him again:
“IOM and the EU have deepened our strategic dialogue on migration and mobility within the EU and externally in the EU’s partner countries since the signing of the IOM-EU Strategic Cooperation Framework in 2012.”
A LITTLE BACKGROUND (BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET THIS FROM THE BBC)
The European Union and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have a close and long-standing partnership since long before the IOM became a fully-fledged UN agency in 2016. The EU and its Member States remain one of the largest contributors to IOM's budget with more than 540 projects contracted in 2015 and 2016 of a total value of €890 million euros. Half of the funding comes from the European Commission services.
The EU-IOM Strategic Cooperation Framework was established in July 2012, and this allowed the relevant Commission services, the European External Action Service and the IOM to consolidate, develop further and structure their cooperation on migration.
THE IOM’s MISSION
"The IOM is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society."
THE IOM’S THOUGHTS ON THE PEOPLES OF THE EU
"Ongoing recession and uneven recovery in a number of European destination countries has contributed to a worsening of the public perception of migrants and asylum-seekers, which, together with the rise of xenophobic rhetoric and initiatives, has degraded public discourse and exacerbated the economic and social marginalization of some migrants."
IOM REGIONAL STRATEGY FOR THE EU MEMBER STATES 2014-2020
"The IOM believes that well-managed migration and facilitated human mobility can ensure that the challenges of population dynamics evolve into opportunities for the benefit of states, migrants and society alike."
Core focus no.1, 2014-2020 - “Leveraging the potentials of migration”
"Anticipated labour and skills shortages in Europe will reinforce the need for facilitated legal migration and mobility to support growth and innovation. As noted in the Europe 2020 strategy, migration can be a key factor in boosting growth and in giving states in the Region an edge in the global completion for labour. To this end, advancing structural reforms, improving migrant admission and integration conditions and creating tolerant and inclusive societies can play a decisive role in attracting foreign workers of various skill levels, entrepreneurs, investors and strengthening the role of global talent in research and development."
"The European Union has recognised that international migration can contribute to meeting labour and skills shortages both through the recruitment of labour migrants from third-countries and through better labour market integration of immigrants already resident in the EU."
POLICY FOR EU TO TAKE MORE MIGRANTS
"The establishment of a Union Resettlement Programme under the Asylum and Migration Fund 2014-2020 put forward by the EU is a clear incentive for EU Member States to work towards both a quantitative increase in current resettlement figures and a qualitative strengthening of the European dimension of resettlement."
FINALLY A LITTLE BACKGROUND OVERALL ON THE AFRICAN QUESTION
We believe that people have a right to know the facts in order to form opinions. The chart below shows official data we found in a little-known 2016 report from the EU and the African Union.
© Facts4EU.Org
  • The growth in Africa’s population is running at 2.5% per annum
  • In the last 20 years, Africa’s population has grown at 12 times that of the EU
  • Italy is still experiencing massive illegal immigration
  • Out of the top 10 nationalities entering that country, 9 are from Africa
OBSERVATIONS
When the EU is in bed with an organisation which has had massive funding for many years without publishing accounts, and which actively promotes open borders and the concept that the EU must accept millions of migrants as being inevitable, necessary and even desirable, then you know the world's gone mad.
That this organisation - the IOM - has somehow managed to become the UN's official 'Migration Agency', when the UN already has the UNHCR is extraordinary. For us the idea that an organisation with the IOM's entirely political pro-migration agenda could become a UN agency - and one with which the EU works so closely - this just beggars belief.
The IOM berates the peoples of the EU for the "worsening of the public perception of migrants and asylum-seekers, which, together with the rise of xenophobic rhetoric and initiatives, has degraded public discourse". We find this jaw-dropping.
Why hasn't the EU's unhealthy relationship with the IOM been investigated by the BBC or other media? Why hasn't the government dropped all cooperation with the EU on migration matters, when it partners with such a pro-open borders organisation?

CONCLUSION OF OUR EU
& SOUTH AFRICA SERIES
The concluding parts of our 'EU In South Africa' series appear just below.
NOTE:  To read all parts of this fascinating series, you can use our special South Africa page, which contains all the parts in sequence.
 SOUTH AFRICA & THE EU

  • EU continues to back this communist regime with UK taxpayers' money
A BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SPECIAL REPORT
PART 7 - THIS MIGHT MATTER MORE THAN YOU THINK
In the article below we complete our current series on the EU and South Africa with some sobering stuff.
In our previous articles we’ve looked at many aspects of the terrible situation that has been developing there. South Africa is the 2nd most important economy on the African continent after Nigeria, excluding Egypt which is usually deemed Arab rather than African.
We’ve looked at the politics of South Africa and the EU’s own foreign policy towards South Africa. We’ve looked at how the EU has been very keen to talk about trade, and we’ve reported on its support for the regime, but when it comes to human rights abuses – particularly against whites – we’ve shown that the EU goes strangely silent.
Against a backdrop of an extreme, vocal, minority, left-wing totalitarian party exerting increasing influence, we’ve also shown that the EU refuses even to discuss the situation by holding a debate in the EU parliament.
EU STILL BACKS SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT
The EU attends EU-African summits to great fanfare, but has absolutely nothing to say about the atrocities.
One person who tried to get this subject debated in Brussels is Janice Atkinson, British MEP and Vice-President of the Europe for Nations and Freedom group of the EU Parliament. She spoke exclusively to Brexit Facts4EU.Org:
“Scandalously the European Parliament has refused my repeated requests for a debate on a situation. If this were happening in other countries, the EU would properly regard it as a humanitarian catastrophe in the making. Because it is South Africa the EU chooses to turn a blind eye.

On 6th April Neven Mimica will go on another official visit to South Africa. He is a Croatian politician and diplomat who serves as European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development in Juncker’s Commission.
OBSERVATIONS
No doubt during his visit, the EU Commissioner will promise to continue to send vast amounts of EU taxpayer money there. Things may be falling apart but the EU can’t possibly be seen to lose face.
The article below gives cold, hard facts about the desperate situation in South Africa.
We do not intend to let the EU elites go quietly unto the night on this one.

 THE ATROCITIES WHICH
THE EU WILL NOT FACE
Extreme-left, racist EFF party pushing violent agenda                                    © unknown
A BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SPECIAL REPORT
PART 8 - THE COLD HARD FACTS, THE EU, AND GRIM READING
Before you read on to discover the appalling growth in serious violent crime against parts of the community in South Africa, we invite you to recall the following from our series so far:
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY:
  • The EU has been funding South Africa since 1994
  • EU has ignored systematic white murder in South Africa for years
  • South Africa is about to expropriate citizens’ property, without compensation
  • The no.2 economy in Africa - and biggest in Southern Africa - is becoming dysfunctional
  • The EU Parliament won’t even allow South Africa to be discussed
When seeking the truth in South Africa, it can happen that incontrovertible facts are hard to come by. When it comes to the very emotive subject of farm attacks and murders this is most definitely true.
RURAL COMMUNITIES THREATENED WITH MURDER, RAPE, TORTURE
To give but one example, for reasons best known to themselves the South African police stopped recording separate crime statistics on this type of rural crime in 2006. As result, the trade association for South African farms stepped up and started recording details themselves.
As a result we now have two sets of data to look at over the last 10 years or so.
Brexit Facts4EU has looked in depth at information available from the authorities in South Africa, including from the South African Police Service (SAPS). In an effort to resolve conflicts in data we also spoke at length to Africa’s Institute for Security Studies, as well as to a former General in the South African Defence Force and now the rural safety specialist for TAUSA, the farmer’s trade association.
We conducted extensive interviews and reviewed a great many documents. In our opinion the two charts below are a reasonable representation of what might now be considered to be a systematic state-backed genocide against rural farmers.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
The graph above shows the huge increase in violent attacks taking place against rural farms. As you can see, there has been a 4-fold jump in violent attacks this decade. These are classified as ‘incidents’ as no-one was killed, although in many of the cases injuries were very severe.
We must stress that when we write of violent attacks, these are almost unimaginable attacks in their brutality, their duration, and their inhumanity.
We do not propose to be graphic here, because we have seen reports and photos of things we would not wish to have seen and we do not propose to share these. For clarity we would have to describe some of these attacks as employing systematic torture. The persons carrying out these crimes are inhuman in their behaviour.
In other words, the purpose of the attacks is to carry out such atrocities that a terrorist climate is created whereby all farmers and their families will simply pack up and run for their lives.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
The graph above shows the concomitant increase in murders in rural communities. There has been an increase of 71% in only 7 years. Taken with the huge rise in violent and sadistic attacks, the climate is one of terror.
It is not only white farmers who have been attacked.
As the attackers seem often to be motivated partly by a communist philosophy, black-owned farms have also been hit. In the mortality figures we have analysed from 1990 to 2018, 12.5% of the dead were black.
FARMING IS OVER TWICE AS DANGEROUS AS POLICING
Looking at how the figures stack up against the society at large, we were able to make a direct comparison between the likelihood of being murdered as a member of the general public, being muRdered as a police officer, or being murdered if you are a farmer. Unfortunately the news is not good for farmers.
We used figures from 2013 which could show a direct comparison between all three groups.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
WHAT DO THE SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE HAVE TO SAY?
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is of course very defensive about the situation we have described above and they had previously tried to stop reporting these figures altogether.
Following protests they have now re-started collecting and reporting statistics. These show that the increase in violence against South African farms has jumped by even more than TAUSA’s figures would suggest. (TAUSA’s figures are the ones we used above.)
For example, in just the last year alone according to the SA Police:-
  • Attacks on farms increased by 43% last year (TAUSA 15%)
  • Murders on farms increased by 51% last year (TAUSA 15%)
OUR CHARTS FOR LAST YEAR'S HUGE RISES, BASED ON OFFICIAL POLICE FIGURES
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
As you can see, if we look at the latest data it seems clear that TAUSA have significantly underestimated the size of the problem. This is unsurprising because TAUSA have always said they preferred to understate rather than exaggerate the figures. It is also a fact that TAUSA have had to rely on incomplete and voluntary reporting, whereas official police figures should cover all territories and properties.
WHAT ARE THE SA POLICE DOING?
During our investigations it became clear that political correctness and South Africa’s rush to replace whites in positions of responsibility has resulted in some potentially highly unfortunate outcomes.
It is troubling when we were told by the representative from the Institute for Security Studies that:-
“For most of the past decade, the individuals appointed to the most senior and powerful posts in the SAPS, a 198,000-strong police service, have had no policing experience.”
We do not have space here to detail all our findings but we have very serious misgivings about the very poor quality of those now in the most senior positions, governing policing in South Africa.
OBSERVATIONS
COLLUSION OF THE STATE IN WHITE GENOCIDE?
Above we have presented facts and figures. We now feel compelled to enter a territory which is more difficult to quantify.
We do not have a smoking gun. That's to say that we don't have a single damning piece of evidence showing that these appalling crimes are being committed with state collusion, involvement or support.
We don't have copy of a letter or email written between, say, a government minister and a regional police chief, or between a top police official and the prosecution service.
However you may want to consider what follows, if you are a reasonably-minded person.
What we have seen are numerous examples of cases where there appears to be widespread collusion between the state and the perpetrators of this appalling and savage violence.
Somehow, those who appear to have been involved in terrible crimes have been released for no good reason. Government-quality transmission-blocking equipment has been used to prevent farmers from reporting they were under attack, meaning that torture could go on for many hours with no risk of police arriving. And there are many more disturbing examples.
Unfortunately we are unable to show you direct evidence in order to protect those who have given us the information. Perhaps it would make matters clearer if we simply focused on the overall political culture which is behind this.
THE POLITICAL EVIDENCE
Here we do have evidence we can present. Just look at the main picture at the top of this article. Or consider the countless times in the South African parliament that MPs have grunted like pigs when talking about whites. We are deadly serious. They give an ‘oink’ sound which is far more menacing than you might think.
You might also reflect on the campaign song of the ultra-left, marxist-leninist, dictatorial Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party. This group of red jumpsuited comrades is run by President & ‘Commander in Chief’, Julius Malema. “Kill the whites, kill the boer” is not melodic but it gets its message across.
Mr Malema is in our opinion an extremely dangerous man. Not intelligent. But extremely dangerous nonetheless.
We put it to many of the people we spoke to that the ruling ANC governing party seems now to be moving fast in the direction of the policies of Malema’s extremist organisation. Every single person we spoke to reluctantly agreed in full.
Within months the South African government will seek to change the constitution of South Africa, to allow the state to seize citizens’ assets with no compensation. With Julius Malema’s EFF party and some minority players they will have sufficient votes to do this.
At this point the EU will have to make a decision whether it will continue to pretend that nothing’s wrong.
We’ve looked at enough to feel that the South African state at the very least has a case to answer in being complicit in torture and terrorism against its own people. The government could have stood up strongly against the extremist rants of the EFF. Instead it appears to be embracing them.
The EFF isn’t just guilty of the hate speech so wailed about in Brussels and in the EU’s other liberal capital cities. In South Africa this hate speech includes direct invocations to violence and murder. It may seem inconceivable to you that the South African government isn’t condemning this and arresting those responsible.
It is not.
WHY DID WE WRITE THIS SERIES?
The EU has a very efficient propaganda machine built into every aspect of its being. It barely moves without loving itself – audibly or in print.
Part of our job is to expose the EU for what it really is. We have said many times that if the mainstream media – particularly the BBC – had been doing its job properly in the last 40 years, the British public would have a much better idea of just what this dysfunctional rabble is like.
As it is, the public has slowly been catching up thanks to the exposure during the Referendum debate, and since.
POLAND... SPAIN... SOUTH AFRICA... ALL PART OF THE SAME EU GROUP-THINK
The EU has recently been demonstrating how little it really cares for democratic values and freedoms. It rails again what it calls ‘rule of law’ transgressions in Poland, and yet supports the Spanish government as it locks up dozens of senior, elected politicians.
It looks on as its precious ‘European Arrest Warrant’ is used in Germany to incarcerate the president of Catalonia, prior to his extradition to Madrid on charges which will see him face 30 years in prison. Even last week, the European Arrest Warrant was used in Scotland to arrest one of Catalonia’s ministers.
With this complete lack of regard for democracy, freedom, and decency within the EU itself, what chance does anyone on South Africa have of the EU using its influence there?
To all those in South Africa reading this, we counsel you not to rely on the EU. They can’t possibly admit that they’ve been spending hundreds of millions of EU taxpayers’ money backing a failing regime, and doing nothing to try to steer it along the right path.
To all other readers in the UK and globally, please consider that this is the reality of the EU. A hypocritical, contradictory mess, wanting but failing to be a player in the diplomatic world.
To our politician readers, if we were organising some kind of intervention, we would have it led by the UK and USA, with some involvement from the Netherlands, and possibly from Germany and one or two other countries with history in South Africa.
It is not too late to bring the South African government back from the brink. But action needs to start right now.
However if the international community does nothing, South Africa is in danger of becoming a communist state and an international pariah by this time next year. Furthermore, we could see bloodshed and atrocities on a scale not previously experienced.
This story must be talked about. Complain to the BBC, write to your MP and the newspapers, post comments about this wherever you can. It may just help South Africa and at the same time it shows the true nature of the EU.

IN 20 YEARS THE EU HAS MADE
€1 TRILLION EUROS
SELLING GOODS TO THE UK
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
How much would the EU like to pay
for continued tariff-free access?
Brexit Facts4EU.Org has been analysing the latest trade figures produced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
In this article we look briefly at how the EU27’s member states have benefited from access to the UK’s single market this century, in terms of selling goods. It amounts to almost €1 trillion euros for the EU.
The UK has its own ‘single market’ of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This is a combined economy of £1.9 trillion per year.
We looked at the latest trade figures purely for goods, released by the ONS last month. Specifically we looked at how much the EU27 sells to the UK, compared to how much the UK sells to the EU27. The difference between these figures is known as the trade balance.
Data is now available for the first time for the last 20 years, and above we have shown the trade balance – in the EU27’s favour – in that time period.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY - 20 YEARS OF EU TRADE
From the earliest comparable ONS data in 1998, the EU27 have sold the UK:
  • £872 billion (€994bn) worth of goods more than the UK sold to the EU27
  • Over half a trillion pounds worth of this was in the 7 years since 2010
The figure of £872 billion equates to almost €1 trillion euros. This is the balance of sales of goods from EU countries into the UK’s ‘single market’ over 20 years.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY - 20 YEARS OF FAST-GROWING EU GAINS
  • In every year the EU27 have sold the UK more than the UK has sold to the EU27
  • This trade balance in their favour has grown substantially
  • In 20 years, it has grown by a factor of almost 16 times
By the time the UK leaves, the trade balance will be over a trillion pounds. That’s over £1,000,000,000,000.
OBSERVATIONS
Much is said and written about the EU’s internal - or ‘Single’ - market. Most of what is claimed by anti-Brexit voices on TV is simply wrong, and goes uncorrected by the interviewers as they don’t know the facts any more than the Remainers making the claims do.
However neither the EU nor the Remain campaigners ever like to talk about the UK’s Single Market. Unlike the EU’s version, the UK’s Single Market is fully functioning across all goods and services.
It is worth pointing out certain basic facts. For example, the insurance industry is very important for the Scottish economy. Whilst it is almost impossible for British-based insurers to sell their services in the EU, there exists a full and open insurance market in the United Kingdom. If Scotland had to sell insurance into the EU’s Single Market rather than the UK version, it would be decimated.
BE PROUD, BE BOLD
There exists a way of thinking in the United Kingdom which has seeped into the national consciousness, thanks to deeply worrying trends which have infected British teacher training colleges and journalism schools, and subsequently the BBC, mainstream media, and universities.
This way of thinking suggests that the UK really isn’t capable of going it alone, for a large variety of reasons which we won’t go into here. This thinking is behind the theme that “Britain’s powerless - it’s the UK that’s going to suffer, not the EU.”
The information we show above is simply another example from us of how absurd this ‘little britain’ mentality is.
Unlike the BBC and other journalists who broadcast and write about the EU and Brexit, some members of the Brexit Facts4EU.Org team are in business. Some of us trade with the EU27… and with around 100 other countries across the globe who are not members of the EU.
The simple fact is that the EU27 countries do very well out of selling goods into the massive UK Single Market.
If you want 2 Brexit Facts4EU.Org sound-bites, remember these:
Last year the EU27 sold £95bn more goods to the UK
than the UK sold to the EU27
In the last 20 years the EU27's trade surplus with the UK
is €1 TRILLION euros
Now, call us old-fashioned but to us £95bn per year is a lot of money. No-one is suggesting that the UK will simply stop buying from the EU27 if the EU elites don’t sharpen up their act and get real. However no-one in business on the continent is entirely comfortable with the idea of losing even a part of the highly lucrative UK market.
The problem arises when EU27 businesses hear the nonsense coming out of the BBC, and think that either Brexit is about to be reversed or that the British public will be fooled into accepting what the BBC refers to as ‘soft Brexit’ and what we call by its true name: ‘Staying In’.
This has meant that they have not, as yet, put any real pressure on their political leaders to negotiate sensibly with the UK. When they see Mrs May capitulating on an almost weekly basis, and when they hear from the BBC that most British people now regret their decision (yes, that’s the impression many Europeans now have), then why would business leaders tell their political leaders to negotiate?
As the British government seems incapable of presenting the real facts to the citizens of the UK and to citizens of the EU27 countries, we will continue to do so. It remains the case that the only government department that is upbeat and singing the UK’s praises is Dr Liam Fox’s Dept for International Trade.
GRIT YOUR TEETH AND FIGHT
We know how hard it is sometimes. Almost two years ago you and we thought we’d won, thought we could all relax. Instead there has been constant rowing back, court cases, incompetence, delays, gross anti-democratic behaviour on the part of many MPs, and now complete capitulation from our Prime Minister.
On this Easter Monday 2018, the team here urges everyone to keep fighting. The government’s results so far have been pitiful. We can still hold them to account.
If Jacob Rees-Mogg and his ‘European Reform Group’ of MPs won’t stand up to Mrs May and call out her hypocritical sham of a deal for what it is, we will. And we will continue to take the fight forward politically. Remember, we are party neutral and our raison d’etre is Brexit. If we fight May we do so because of her incompetent handling of Brexit. This does NOT mean we think any other party would do any better - in fact quite the reverse in most cases.
We have many Tory politicians who read us, and we’d like to think the reason they still do is because they know we don’t attack the government for the sake of it. We simply want the government to action Brexit as the voters intended.
It remains a matter of deep sadness to us that the various pro-Brexit organisations have no interest in working together. To those of you who keep writing to us about this, we will continue to do what we can to get people to amalgamate – or at the very least to coordinate their actions.
AND FINALLY
Final thought for this Easter Monday… Two years ago no serious political analysts anywhere in the world gave Leave a prayer. Yet we won.
We believe there are many in Whitehall who think they’ll be able to foozle through some hotch-potch garbage deal with the EU and call it Brexit.
We have news for them. The British people are not so easily fooled.
In the two days after the Referendum we received hundreds of emails from our readers – those who campaigned for Vote Leave, for Leave.EU, for Labour Leave, and for other organisations or independently. Since then we’re received thousand of further emails.
What an amazing bunch of people you all are. Let’s all channel our positive energy today and commit to the fight going forward. We have a year before the ‘pretend-Brexit’ day and we can do a lot in that time.
As Michel Barnier and David Davis would both say:
“Nothing’s Agreed Until Everything’s Agreed”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOU MAGNIFICENT MEN (& WOMEN!) IN YOUR FLYING MACHINES
                                                © MOD RAF
A special tribute from the editor,
this Easter Sunday
Today people across the country will want to join us in congratulating the Royal Air Force on its 100th birthday. We celebrate with all past and present personnel of the Royal Air Force on the occasion of the first centenary anniversary of its formation on 1st April 1918.
This article may seem to have nothing to do with Brexit and the EU, and that’s mostly true, but there are some interesting points to make nonetheless.
NATIONAL PRIDE
One of the more uplifting aspects of the vote to leave the European Union has been the resurgence of a pride in our country and what it has achieved, and what it may achieve once again as a fully independent nation.
For so long the proud history of the United Kingdom has been battered by an increasing re-telling, according to a globalist, no-borders agenda from brainwashed and brainwashing teachers. In their world, the UK’s role in the way the world developed had to be either castigated or downplayed, and the modern generation were taught to feel we can’t survive without the EU.
Sadly we still hear this amongst a proportion of our indoctrinated youth who are still being manipulated into anti-democratic actions and campaigns. Many of them genuinely have no idea what this country has been and is still capable of being.
It is partly for this reason that we’re pleased to celebrate with the Royal Air Force today. If any of our politician readers would like to share their own thoughts with our readers, please email us and we’ll publish your thoughts too.
A BOY, A FIELD, AN AEROPLANE
At the start of the 1930s when the RAF was just 12 years old, a young boy who hadn’t yet reached that age was taken by his father to see a travelling aeroplane show in a farmer’s field in southern England. For a small sum, that afternoon the pilot would take members of the public up for a circuit in his rickety old biplane.
What the young boy experienced that day changed his life.
His passion for flying survived boyhood and saw him enlist in the Royal Air Force. Soon he was fighting in WWII, flying Spitfires, Hurricanes, and Mustangs against the Messerschmidts, Heinkels, and Dorniers of the German Luftwaffe.
By the end of the war he was commanding a squadron of Spitfires in Austria when he received his final posting to command the 324 Advanced Wing in northern Italy, preparing for the entire wing to arrive. He was in effective charge of a significant small region of Italy.
He was just 22 years old.

POST-WAR CHALLENGES - THE DYING CONTINUED
Having survived the war and now back in Blighty, he transferred from piston-engined fighters to fly the first jets to enter service with the RAF, at the most dangerous time ever for non-combat flying.
At that time, these jets had no ejector seats and our still-young fighter pilot lost his friends regularly. His young wife was continually having to accompany the base’s padre to comfort and support the young widows of the brave comrades of her husband, who lost their lives in extremely hazardous ‘peacetime’ flying.
For this was the start of the Cold War, a time when a war was in fact being fought, and men were dying, but without any war officially being declared.
In time, our RAF fighter pilot moved from flying night/all-weather Meteors, (the first aircraft ever designated thus), to flying the RAF’s first delta wing jet fighter, the beautiful but little-known Javelin. At around this time, he was posted to a base in the British sector of Germany, and he was able to take his wife and two young sons with him.

In what may surprise some Remainers, for part of the time of his posting, he and his young family lived just across the border in Holland and he was able to cross into Germany for ‘work’ each day. Strangely this was possible before the EU was created, and long before things like the Schengen ‘no borders’ zone were even thought of.
No-one had told our brave fighter pilot that he couldn’t be British but friendly to Europe - living in one country, working in another, and being a citizen of a third – all without the assistance of someone like Herr Jean-Claude Juncker.
So he just did it anyway.
THE COLD WAR’S COLD COMFORTS
During his time in Germany protecting the skies of continental Europe, our hero was regularly on standby at the end of the runway of his RAF base for hours at a time, knowing that if scrambled his would be a one-way mission – there would be nothing to return to even if he survived combat with the Russian MiG fighters or SAMs or other defences.
Frequently the Russian MiGs would deliberately make incursions into western airspace to such an extent that a major incident could have occurred at any time. The RAF pilots simply never knew which of these incursions were ‘for real’ and so had to act as if they all were.
These were the missions that were sometimes so nerve-racking that it took our hero many hours to ‘come down’ from. Trips where on landing his hands shook so much that he spilled the contents of his packet of cigarettes over the tarmac and his batman had to light a cigarette for him. These were the days before smoking was found to be another deadly activity.
Time catches up with us all in the end. Sadly, the RAF didn’t then have many flying jobs with a rank above Sqn Ldr, and so with no desire to be a ‘desk jockey’ it was time for our hero to try his hand at ‘civvy street’.
A civilian job might not have had the drama of flying the beautiful Spitfire against the Luftwaffe, or flying faster than the speed of sound against Russian Migs, but he gritted his teeth and rose to become a partner in a very prestigious firm in the financial sector.
He campaigned against EU membership but very sadly he died before he could witness the triumph of the EU Referendum itself. Nevertheless he felt confident that the country would ‘see the light’.
THE RAF OF TODAY
It was this man who lent me one of the best flying books of the last 20 years: Vulcan 607, the story of the Vulcan bomber raid on Port Stanley in the Falklands War. He described it to me as an epic story of gritty flying, and he wasn’t wrong. Typical of the man that the Vulcan wasn’t even part of our hero’s beloved Fighter Command. The RAF was the RAF and not everyone could be part of the elite, as he would say with a grin.
Regarding the RAF of today he was supremely confident. He would certainly be immensely proud of all the men and women of the RAF who have been in places like Romania and Estonia this year, supporting the Typhoon missions to deter the Russians.
“Our boys and girls will always do their duty when they have to, just like we had to,” I recall him saying when we had a conversation about earlier conflicts in which the RAF were involved.
PERSONAL PRIDE
And in case you hadn’t already guessed, the reason for telling this particular man’s story in this article about the RAF is that I was one of those two little boys who lived in Germany and then Holland during the Cold War when this man flew against the Soviet Union, and I’m proud to say that this man was my father.
Call me biased, but he was worth a thousand Cleggs, Cables, Blairs, Browns, Hammonds, Adonises, Graylings, Grieves, Starmers, Soubrys, Millers, Majors, Clarkes or Corbyns. And don’t even get me started on some of the ungrateful wretches in the EU who pretend they give a fig for democracy and freedom.
LET’S ALL LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
To end on a brighter note, I see a rising tide of genuine patriotic feeling in the country. This is starting to be allied with a growing sense of national confidence, despite the best efforts of Remoaners to persuade everyone that we’re all doomed.
None of the doom which was forecast by the government and the Remain campaign for immediately after a Leave vote ever came true, and this has helped millions of people to realise that they were perhaps more than a little duped.
When it comes to our armed forces, they seem to be enjoying ever-increasing public support, which is great to see. For the RAF in particular and for the other services too, we would like to see a substantial uplift in our defence budget. Frankly we believe we should see a steady return to the levels of several years ago, when we invested 4% of GDP in defence, but I would settle for 3% right now.
The RAF is about to enjoy the delights of the fabulous new F-35b fighter. The first ones are being flown by RAF pilots in the USA as I write this.
Over the traditional Easter Sunday roast lunch today, I shall be lifting my glass with the only possible toast on a day like today: “Per Ardua Ad Astra”.
Happy Easter everyone.

LOST IN SPACE : THE EU'S SATNAV PROJECT
 PART 5: ‘It’s money Jim,
but not as we know it...’
                                                © ESA – Pierre Carril
TO BOLDLY SPEND WHERE NO MAN
HAS SPENT SO MUCH BEFORE
In the heady days of 2000, when the Euro was in its inglorious infancy and Tony Blair was still a popular Prime Minister, the EU allocated €1.8 billion of public funds to complete a SatNav system for Europe.
This article looks at what happened to that €1.8 billion.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
IN ADDITION TO CAPITAL COSTS FOR DEVELOPMENT, THERE'S MORE:-
  • Entire lifecycle cost will be far more, with running costs in the billions
  • EU has already estimated an extra €5.3 billion running costs - no doubt to rise
  • Project was supposed to generate €9 billion per year income by 2015
  • No income has yet been produced
HOW IT ALL WENT WRONG
In 2000, the EU Commission promised that:
“No funding in the form of subsidies will be necessary
downstream of the deployment phase.”
In March 2002 the EU Commission said there would be:
"a cost-share of at most 1/3rd from the Community budget
and at least 2/3rds from the private sector"
.
In 2007 the EU Commission 'nationalised' the project, after it went bankrupt.
100% of the cost is being borne by the taxpayer.
In 2009, the EU Commission was slammed in a report by the European Court of Auditors over its handling of the Galileo Project. They concluded there had been poor governance, poor financial control, and they even questioned the EU’s competence to manage things going forward.
In 2011, the CEO of a major German supplier to the project said Galileo was “a stupid idea” replicating what the American GPS system already does. For good measure he added that it was:
“A waste of EU taxpayers’ money
championed by French interests.”
He got fired for his honesty, naturally.
OBSERVATIONS
Since then, the EU money launchpad has kept on firing.
Like time, money is a relative concept within the minds of the elite Eureaucrats. When you’re on a six-figure salary and benefits package, and your pension is secured for life, you tend not to worry about the taxpayers who have to pay for your political projects.
And if there are errors along the way which cost the taxpayers hundreds of millions or even billions of euros, that’s unlikely to worry you. In the EU you’re practically unsackable.
We hope you're finding that we’ve distilled this work down into some highly-readable pieces for you. If you’re a mainstream journalist and would like all of our source files, please let us know here.
And just remember:
In a galaxy far, far away in Brussels....

Message: A happy & peaceful Easter to you all. An excellent series. Like many I was aware of elements of this topic, which were bad enough. So thank you for collating it in one place, which has certainly added to my knowledge and opened the eyes of those who only now are discovering the reality of what the EU is and means. As for our pitiful, weak & spineless remainer-led Govt., they may have been erasing the red lines but the people who voted to leave have not. Their 'red lines' were already at the very limits of compromise for many leavers, with others 'missing'. We will not forget. May has destroyed her party by simply not doing what was promised and was asked.
LOST IN SPACE : THE EU'S SATNAV PROJECT
PT 6: "IT'S THE POLITICS, STUPID"
                                                © EU Commission
Some of you might wonder why the EU needed to develop its own SatNav system when we’ve all been using the American GPS system successfully for many years.
The answer is of course politics. EU politics. Below we provide the original rationale for starting this project, 24 years ago.
Here is the original Council Decision in 1994 :-
“The setting-up of a Global Navigation Satellite System for civil use will contribute to the attainment of important Community objectives, such as the completion of the internal market and the strengthening of economic and social cohesion...”
And the European Court of Auditors gave politics as the first of 3 reasons for the project :-
“There were three motives underlying the creation of Galileo: (a) political; (b) economic; and (c) technological”
There are now 4 SatNav systems in the world: the US’s GPS, Russia’s Glonass, the Chinese Beidou, and the EU’s Galileo.
GPS and Glonass are fully operational worldwide, and China’s service is on track to reach that status ahead of Galileo despite starting many years later. Galileo will be in fourth position out of four in terms of full service start date.
EU MILITARY & INTERNAL SECURITY OBJECTIVES QUIETLY GROW
The EU’s satellite systems project started as purely a civilian and commercial affair. As the years went by, however, military uses started being suggested more and more, with the EU starting to be a little more open about this from 2016, just after the Referendum.
As with many things, information likely to be damaging to the Remain campaign was suppressed until after the vote.
The UK has long had its own military satellites and it seems the EU would now like its own. We have gained access to many documents, some official and some less widely available. The direction of travel is very clear.
OF PUPPY DOGS' TAILS & MIGRANT BOATS
The EU plays up the uses of its satellite for what it believes will be uncontentious purposes, highlighting that the Copernicus system recently located 30 African migrants in a rubber boat off the coast of Spain, and that these migrants were then rescued by the Spanish coastguard. It also talks a great deal about monitoring climate change, and – this is perfectly true – for the locating of lost puppies.
The possibility of monitoring climate change is enough in and of itself to bring tears to the eyes of MEPs, merely by mentioning the subjet. Add puppies into the mix and… well… Where do I place my vote, Comrade?
The reality is slightly different.
“This is critical to support the implementation of EU policies and protect its infrastructures for border and maritime control, civil protection, air traffic management or drones,” says one EU Commission draft document we uncovered.
In 2009, space formally became an “EU competence” with the signing of the Lisbon Treaty. For something to become an EU competence is very important. In effect it allows the EU slowly to take control over that matter and to take it out of the hands of member states.
In November 2014, the Commission launched a study on the “Identification of the requirements for Satellite Communication to support EU Security Policies and Infrastructures”. Remember, when you see the word ‘security’ in an EU context it means both internal security and internal and external military capabilities.
In October 2016 the Commission launched its ‘Space Policy’.
“Space services can strengthen the EU’s and Member States’ capacity to tackle growing security challenges and improve the monitoring and control of flows which have security implications. Most space technologies, infrastructure and services can serve both civilian and defence objectives.
“Although some space capabilities have to remain under exclusive national and/or military control, in a number of areas synergies between civilian and defence can reduce costs, increase resilience and improve efficiency. The EU needs to better exploit these synergies.
“This will be a key theme of the European defence action plan, which is expected to highlight space’s crucial enabling role for civilian and defence capabilities.… the critical security and defence needs are not fully met today. The Commission is therefore working with the European Defence Agency and ESA to assess the demand for and feasibility of a new initiative providing resilient satellite communication services for governmental and institutional security users … [to] improve the EU’s capacity to respond to challenges related to migration, border control and maritime surveillance.”
OBSERVATIONS
The EU claims technical superiority of its Galileo system compared to GPS, although in fact the GPS system’s accuracy has been deliberately downgraded for civilian use by the US government, to combat terrorist and other threats to global security.
There are questions about whether the EU should really have embarked on this project at all. Certainly there are very serious questions to answer about how the EU is doing this. Should the Star-Troopers of the EU Commission really be running this?
When we read through the hundreds of documents we've uncovered about the EU satellite projects, we see the same signs as in so many other areas of EU activity. We see an inexorable march towards increasing control of every aspect of the member states' - and their citizens' - lives.
Space is no different. Soon, the EU's space programme - so much of which was funded by the UK - will be held out as being for the sole benefit of member states. If you dare to leave, you'll be cut out.
We very strongly hope that the MoD and DExEU have been working on this. Firstly, there's no question of the assets bought and paid for by the UK simply being appropriated by the EU and then the UK being told it can't have access.
Secondly we very much hope that the MoD has been working urgently to extract the UK military from the MoD's incursions into the use of EU satellites. Make no mistake, the MoD is infected with Remoanerism just as much as departments like the Treasury. We know, but unfortunately we can't tell you the details. Now these individuals must wake up to reality. The United Kingdom is leaving the European Union whether they like it or not, and they must now plan to treat the EU as a third party which may one day be potentially hostile.
At the very least the MoD must start acting purely in the United Kingdom's best interests.
We hope we’ve distilled this work down into some highly-readable pieces for you. If you’re a mainstream journalist and would like all of our source files, please let us know here.
Perhaps the above is an interesting insight into the EU Empire.
In our opinion we still have light years to go before we see
whether the UK Rebels have what it takes to break free.

LOST IN SPACE : THE EU'S SATNAV PROJECT
PT 7: THE LESSONS FOR BREXIT
                                                © EU Commission
In December 2016 the EU Commission announced: “Galileo goes live!”
On the same day, the Director of the European Space Agency's Galileo programme (the official partner of the EU Commission in the Galileo project) said:
"Much work remains to be done. The entire constellation needs to be deployed, the ground infrastructure needs to be completed and the overall system needs to be tested and verified."
Some may feel that the words of the leading scientist from the space agency may be a truer representation of the overall project picture than that given by EU Commissioners.
THE LESSONS FOR BREXIT
Doing business with the EU isn't like doing business with normal people. In Brussels, reality has a habit of being described as something the EU would like it to be.
Below is the actual reality, distilled from an enormous amount of research.
OUR BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY - GALILEO PROJECT
  • So far the Galileo Project has taken 24 years from initiation in 1994
  • This EU taxpayer-funded SatNav system is still only 47% complete
  • The original deadline for completion passed 11 years ago
  • The budget has rocketed to 7 times the original figure
  • It’s now equivalent to half the entire annual GDP for EU member state Estonia
  • The project will not now complete until 2020 - maybe
  • That would mean 26 years in the making and 13 years after the first deadline
OBSERVATIONS
We have tried to present you with the headline information, condensed into readable segments.
For Brexit to become reality, the UK government must understand the disconnect in the minds of Eureaucrats between the real world and the alternative universe these Brussels-dwellers inhabit. The Galileo project is just one of many, many examples of this.
If the British government had understood - or wanted to understand - this, and if it had negotiated accordingly, Brexit would be much further forward than it is.
Instead - and let's be honest here - the government hasn't agreed one single thing on the British Brexit agenda. Every single red line has been crossed - or fudged, which is almost worse.
It really doesn't matter what spin they try to put on it, and Theresa May, David Davis and other ministers can say all they like. Various large, supposedly pro-Brexit organisations can back the government all they like (and they seem to like to do that) but the reality is the reality.
On Thursday we didn't celebrate the 'one year to go' anniversary because in one year's time nothing will change, except that the UK will become a colony of the EU with no say in its laws and with a foreign court having precedence over the UK's Supreme Court. Free movement continues, as does the payment of massive sums to the EU.
Two years ago we wrote: "It will rapidly become clear that anything other than a firm and factual stance will result in years of pointless delays." This prediction has stood the test of time.
Nevertheless, it's still not too late and on this Easter Sunday we're not disheartened. Very tired after producing the series above for you, but not disheartened. We still have fight in us and we won't give up. We will continue to produce good quality reports like this one and we will continue to lobby MPs, MEPs, and even foreign politicians, to push for a full, clean Brexit.
The full, clean Brexit that we voted for. Not the current offering which isn't Brexit at all. We want a bright, shiny Easter egg of a Brexit, packed with good things!
Happy Easter, everyone.

Unlike many Brexit websites, we do our own research, write our own content, and create our own graphs.
Unfortunately we barely make it from one week to the next and we rely 100% on voluntary contributions.
We really could use your help in working for a clean and true Brexit.

Facts4eu.org is non party-political and not supported by any Brexit campaign.
We present facts we've researched from official government and EU sources.

Now that the Referendum has been won, we have 2 main aims:
1.  To provide bullet-pointed and factual summaries of key points, to help people to ensure Brexit is delivered in full.
2.  Crucially, to allow MPs and campaigners to give reliable and consistent facts to the public.
Please don't hesitate to contact the Editors if you can volunteer in some way, and particularly if you can support us financially.
NEUTRALITY:    Facts4eu.org focuses on information which shows that the UK is better off regaining its independence and growing globally. The entire weight of the Establishment is promoting the opposite case, so this site is just one small voice trying to redress the balance.
