We can exclusively reveal that on Saturday a mouthpiece for the IRGC – the fanatical Iranian Revolutionary Guard - called for suicide attacks in the UK. Sir Keir continues to allow them to operate in the UK instead of immediately proscribing them as a terrorist organisation – an obvious move which other allies put in place a long time ago.

On Saturday, following US-Israeli military strikes which killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, direct threats were issued against the UK using a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). These included calls for jihad and – in effect – suicide attacks.

The latest threat to the UK from Iran

This latest threat to the UK was issued days before Sir Keir’s belated, much criticised, and extremely limited approval for the US to use the Chagos Islands’ Diego Garcia base from which to launch “defensive-only” strikes against Iranian missile and drone launch installations.

His dithering all weekend did nothing to deter Iranian extremists from urging Islamists to lay down their lives in the UK in pursuit of their ‘holy war’ against the UK and the West in general. The first message refers to the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the second is the call for suicide action.

The channel urged supporters in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, and across Shi'ite communities worldwide to "rise" and "burn the embassies and assets" of perceived enemies. This channel regularly shares content in English related to IRGC operations, border surveillance, regional conflicts, and anti-Western sentiment.

In another post, the channel urged supporters in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kashmir, Berlin, London, Paris, Toronto to "Rise."

The problem is that these are taken very seriously.

Sir Keir’s ‘Re-Set’ with the Iran-loving EU did not help him

On Saturday the British people waited for their Prime Minister to make any kind of statement whatsoever. When he finally did, it was to say he had made a “deliberate decision” (is there any other kind?) to deny the Americans use of the base which he is intent on giving to the Iran-linked and corrupt regime in Mauritius.

The story since May 2018

In May 2018 President Trump announced that the US was no longer going to be part of the deal with Iran, as his administration did not consider it to be an effective constraint on Iran’s ambitions to be a nuclear power. He re-imposed economic sanctions.

Here is how the EU’s then Foreign Secretary responded, with a message to the Iranian people :-

The EU continued with its policy of appeasement with Iran, despite Iran’s increasing breaches. In May of that year Iran announced it would be unilaterally breaking the agreement.

The EU enabled terrorist extremists in Iran to pursue their war against the UK and the West

Almost unbelievably, the EU continued with its policy of appeasement with Iran, despite Iran’s increasing breaches. Following President Trump's withdrawal from the agreement, the EU actually introduced legislation to block countries from placing sanctions on trading with Iran, thereby nullifying the US move.

In effect, by legislating to stop countries imposing sanctions on Iran, it enabled Iran to continue to amass the monies to fund its export of terror throughout the region and to the West, including the UK. This wasn't only a tacit move, it was an active one, openly supporting the rogue Iranian regime. This was done in the name of all the Member countries of the EU.

The independent, post-Brexit UK led the charge against Iran’s nuclear war threat

On Thursday 06 July 2023, the UK chaired a UN Security Council meeting and followed up with a statement finally co-signed by France and Germany in a marked move from the Commission's position for years. This was in relation to UNSCR Resolution 2231 on preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

The facts below are chilling and demonstrate the sheer naivete of the EU in supporting the ‘JCPOA’ agreement which President Trump withdrew from after he became President.

The EU shares culpability for attacks on UK interests and for the current Middle East war
