We strongly recommend our report yesterday, or you can read the coverage about it from GB News here. Richard Tice MP, Deputy Leader of Reform UK reiterated his claim that "Net Zero is the greatest act of financial self-harm ever imposed on a nation by its own Government."

The Rt Hon Sir John Redwood was clear that “The UK already imposes a high carbon tax on business, charging them the UK market price for carbon... The UK government wishes to join the EU scheme, so British business has to face a further hike in a tax which is already making them very uncompetitive... The EU re-set will come at a high price, imposing extra costs on business and helping close more factories in the UK.”

It's vital that our work reaches hundreds of thousands more voters, who would not otherwise see it. The only way to do this is by developing excellent relationships with the media, which takes time and effort. We simply can't do this without more funding. Currently our level of donations results in team members being lucky if they receive the equivalent of under £1 per hour for their highly skilled efforts. This is far less than the minimum wage.

1 G. Does that figure sound ridiculous. It does because it is. The LSE have already pulled it apart. The IEA report has numerous flaws such as including costs of infrastructure that are required regardless of NetZero.

The only countries not signed up to the Paris Agreement are Iran, Libya, Yemen and now the USA for the time being.

IEA report clearly states "Gross" cost, so if the LSE cannot dispute the "gross" cost them they haven't "pulled it apart", but merely added context.
Are you saying we'd have to pay £7 trillion even if we didn't pursue net zero?
.
Renewables are intermittent and fossil derived energy will still need to be available to take up the slack.
And there will be a cost in maintaining THAT infrastructure even as we pursue net zero.

I wasn't aware of what Trump said, and I understand that a third of China's energy is renewable derived.
But the increase in carbon emissions from China is believed to have only plateaued in 2025.

Did you believe Al Gore when he said the ice caps would be gone by 2010?
