"The structure of the EU is widely, and correctly, considered to be undemocratic, but not many know that the EU has mounted two successful coups d'etat to remove the democratically elected governments of member states.

"In addition, the EU Constitution makes provision for member states to be sanctioned and punished if they pass domestic legislation that the EU does not like.

"Additionally, it's not unknown for the EU Commission to meddle in the domestic national elections of member states with the intention of affecting the outcome.

"EU Rejoiners seem to be unaware of these serious and unacceptable clogs on democracy, or don't care."

Did ‘Stand for Our Sovereignty’ not ask a foreign government (Trump) to intervene in UK politics regarding the Chagos Islands in September?

1. Sceptic
UK parliament informed the USA that Kier Starmer's Chagos deal violated an existing agreement between the USA and UK. The UN also informed Kier Starmer that his Chagos deal violated an International Court of Justice ruling. The Labour party did not mention Chagos in their manifesto so the public have not had a say on this issue.

Democracy is not blind obedience to somebody who is behaving illegally. All politicians should be held to account by publicly elected officials. Maybe you would prefer that Kier Starmer should decide what happens to Peter Mandelson and nobody else should be allowed to criticise his decision.

The EU is not like any other democracy. They limit the funding to political parties during EU elections but the reality is they have been feeding huge amounts of funding to private organisations that give out a pro-EU message for many years now. Especially for organisations that promote a Federal European Union. This has been funded from the CERV budget and they claim it's to promote "EU Values".

This is about to get much larger as they have hugely increased the funding for the new social budget, the "AgoraEU". There will be a total budget of 8.6 Billion Euros to "support the pillars of a strong democracy including culture, media and civil society". They say this is necessary as "In the area of news media, decreasing media pluralism and disinformation are becoming a threat to the European project and to democracy"

To me it's seems to be little more than an indoctrination budget that Kim Jong Un would have been proud of.
