‘Calling all true patriots – a plea for unity’

It is no exaggeration to say that the United Kingdom is in a moment of existential crisis.
Politics is currently in meltdown, the landscape in flux and the Prime Minister deep inside his bunker in Downing Street conducting emergency talks with his remaining advisors as the bombs and shells continue to fall around him.
Having lost his Chief of Staff on Sunday afternoon, as I write we have just been told the PM’s Executive Director of Communications Tim Allen has also resigned.
How many more advisors will leave their posts by the end of the week and how many Cabinet Ministers are also considering their positions?
Indeed it is no exaggeration to say that the Prime Minister himself may announce his departure within days, such has been the escalation of events. We remain on resignation watch even as we go to publication.
‘Sovereignty, democracy and freedom’
Notwithstanding the horrors of the current scandal from which the British government is reeling, the real crisis facing the country goes far beyond the sordid relationship between our disgraced former US Ambassador and a deceased, convicted billionaire paedophile.
What lies at stake is nothing less than our very survival as a nation state.
If more patriotic members of the public donate, we will keep going, even after 10 hard years.

One thing after another...
On issue after issue, from the sale of the Chagos Islands to the prosecution of its own soldiers for events in Northern Ireland that occurred more than fifty years ago, the British government appears to be waging war on its own people.
Why else would they pursue a policy of net-zero whose only effect is to hollow out what remains of our manufacturing base and clobber consumers with some of the highest energy bills in the developed world?
Why else would they throw in the Brexit towel and scuttle back to the European Union, in a one-sided deal in which the UK surrenders its precious freedoms and a great deal of money in exchange for access to a goods market in which we already import more than we export?
Why else would they permit the construction of a Chinese Super Embassy in the very heart of London, on the site of the Old Royal Mint and within touching distance of the City of London and its financial secrets.
Indeed, why would any government actively invite a sworn adversary into the heart of its capital city knowing full well that its modus operandi is to spy on friend and foe alike for its own national interest?
Dare I mention small boats?
As if that were not bad enough, figures show that just over 65,700 migrants have crossed the Channel since July 2024.
At an average of 790 per week, with more expected, these are developments that would take the total beyond the 65,811 recorded during the premiership of Boris Johnson.

‘Better together’
With all this in mind, it is clear to us that our nation is in peril as never before. Powerful, vested interests, armed with deep pockets and powerful backers stand opposed to the fundamental principles of sovereignty, democracy and freedom on which we stand.
In order to defeat the enemy however we have to unite as never before but we can only do so effectively under one banner.
On behalf of Brexit Facts4EU and its campaign affiliate the Campaign for an Independent Britain (CIBUK.Org) we urge all who believe in our core values to join us and provide the united front upon which our cause so desperately depends.
We make this plea because we have an impeccable pedigree which stretches back decades and in our opinion makes us among the best equipped and most experienced campaign groups to take on our opponents.
Through its meticulous research and high-impact reports, Facts4EU has earned widespread coverage and respect within the mainstream media as a pre-eminent facts-based research organisation whose reports are widely discussed and disseminated. For years it has acted as the 'research and facts engine' for CIBUK.
With a wealth of campaign experience behind us and armed with an extensive network of political and media contacts we are in a unique position to provide the leadership required to spearhead the kind of campaign we have outlined above.
We therefore issue this simple plea to all those other think tanks, pressure groups and campaign activists who share our aims and objectives:
Please join us under one umbrella in defence of our nation and together we can defeat the enemy.

Observations
The rest of what is left of the Facts4EU team is grateful to Ben for writing his heartfelt piece above. We agree with every word of his plea. We have seem so many new organisations spring up, without a thought as to whether it would not be better to combine with an existing team which already has an infrastructure and contacts built up. Sadly, the reasons for this lie solely with egos.
On the subject of new people, we are pleased to say we have now had three serious enquiries to join the team. One, (Graham Dale), has already produced two video podcasts, with a third one out this week. For the first time he will be interviewing a former Secretary of State.
Another person who wishes to remain anonymous has already started helping with research. The third is an excellent person to have on the team, as a former, senior member of the Civil Service. Unfortunately she needs to earn - not a lot but then that describes the state of our finances! Her involvement is therefore on hold, and we may well lose her. This would be a huge shame, as she knows her way around government so well.
In recent days we have had a flurry of donations and we're enormously grateful to those concerned. We will shortly be naming those who have given us express permission to do so. These monies are now being used to pay some on the team who have worked in the hope of some money coming in, plus to reimburse some hosting and other bills. It is only right to do this before we can consider paying a new person.
