The ex-PM also called for a “counter revolution” in the UK, in a concerted attack on ‘the Blob’

Brexit Facts4EU was there for the revealing fringe event, with its bombshell question and response

Could former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss be the new recruit to Nigel Farage’s Reform UK?

This was the question asked of Liz Truss on Sunday by the host of a fringe event at Australia’s largest gathering of the conservative right, CPAC Australia.

“That’s a YES!” exclaimed Rowan Dean, host of Australia’s top-ranked TV news show, when Liz Truss hesitated and did not deny the possibility. At no stage in the interview, despite being pressed on the point, did the UK’s former Prime Minister rule out joining forces with Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.

A Brexit Facts4EU.Org exclusive, from our man who was there

Ms. Truss’ appearance at this ticket-only event on Sunday morning, for which Facts4EU’s Australian correspondent managed to acquire the much sought-after access, capped off her appearance at CPAC Australia in which she had given a very well-received keynote speech the day before.

The main speeches at party conferences and major events such as CPAC are well-prepared many days in advance. They make the news but generally we have heard it all before. It is at the Fringe events where speakers are unscripted that occasionally a bombshell is dropped.

And our man was there when a bombshell of mega-ton proportions was released by the UK’s former Prime Minister.

Could former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss be the new recruit to Nigel Farage’s Reform UK?

It took only 3 minutes and 10 seconds into this riveting, no-holds-barred interview before Ms. Truss was asked the 64,000 dollar question:

“Would you go and do something with the Reform Party?”

Not answering the question directly, Ms. Truss started by saying:

“In Britain, it’s feeling existential. It is feeling existential about whether or not our country remains like it is, or it falls apart. This is how bad it is”.

“People have given up on the main political parties,” she went on to say, before adding, “Neither party has stood up to the Globalist blob”.

“Those forces are very powerful, they’re very dominant in Britain, and we are seeing now a popular uprising against them”.

Unrelenting, the host of Australia’s most popular TV news show then pushed Ms. Truss on the question further by asking:

“Can I reiterate? Would you work with Reform? Would you get back into politics?”

Ms. Truss’ pause and nervous laugh was enough to convince Rowan Dean, a highly-experienced and respected journalist.

“I’ll take a yes,” Dean exclaimed, “You heard it here first”.

Truss went on to say:

“My point about Nigel Farage, who is the bookie’s favourite to be next Prime Minister of Britain - If it is the case that he ends up in Number 10 and the system doesn’t change, if the bureaucrats remain the same, if all the Blairite laws stay in place; the human rights act, the equality act… Nothing will change.”

“So, what my obsession is, is how do we achieve a counter-revolution in Britain?”

Ms. Truss was certainly not holding back in front of the live audience in Brisbane, Australia as she went on to say:

“The Marxists have taken over the judiciary, the civil service, the police; with their wokery, with their Net Zero zealotry, with their Islamism. That is what we need to take back.”

Don't leave this to someone else. You are that 'someone else'.

To finalise her answer on whether she would work with Reform, Truss declared:

“I see myself as being on the front line of the counter-revolution,” before adding, with a mischievous laugh, “Exactly what role I will take, we will see”.

As the interview progressed, Ms. Truss pressed on hard with her theme of a ‘counter-revolution’ against the Left as she said:

“They’ve been planning this for a long time, and we’ve been asleep at the wheel. And we’ve been accommodating them. And saying, ‘Oh yes, we’re concerned about human rights. Oh yes, we’re concerned about equality. Oh yes, we’re concerned about these environmental issues.’ Meanwhile, they’ve just been taking ground.”

“The asylum agreements, the refugee agreements, the human rights agreements, none of them are fit for purpose.”

“They have been tools that the Left has used against us; and the Left has weaponised lawfare, they’ve weaponised human rights and now they’re even killing people. That is how bad it has gotten.”

Visceral attack on one of Labour’s two Deputy PM candidates

Following her appearances at the CPAC event in Australia, Liz Truss turned her attention back to the UK. In particular, to one of the two candidates for Labour Party Leadership who had written an attack on her, to which the former Prime Minister responded in fighting mood.

Below is the letter written to Kemi Badenoch by Bridget Phillipson, Education Secretary. Truss then launched a blistering attack back. Phillipson had written a letter to Kemi Badenoch demanding Liz Truss’s expulsion from the Conservative Party for comments about the flag demonstration organised by Tommy Robinson but attended by hundreds of thousands from all political persuasions and ethnic backgrounds.

For those who can't for some reason see the full text of Ms Truss's reply, here it is. The final linal is perhaps the most cutting.

"It's time to stop your pathetic attempts at cancellation, @bphillipsonMP. Why aren't you focussed on actually dealing with the rape gangs? As for the economy, every single economic indicator is worse now than it was when I was Prime Minister - the gilt yield, debt, growth and unemployment. I know you're desperate because you're losing to Lucy Powell - but this is pitiful."

Observations from our correspondent 'Down Under'

Liz Truss is too experienced a politician to come out and say she would consider any new party allegiance. That said, it is telling that a former Conservative Prime Minister, whom one would expect to answer with a categorical “No, of course not”, did not do so. She conspicuously failed to deny the suggestion of working with Nigel Farage and even went as far as to say “Exactly what role I will take, we will see”.

She will of course be able to say she was talking in the wider context of the fight against the globalists, but someone 100% committed to the Conservative Party – and who was once its Leader and the Conservative Prime Minister of the country – would be expected to place her future role within the confines of a future Conservative Government. This, she conspicuously failed to do.

Sitting there, just in front of her as she talked, her passion for a radical change was very clear to see. The reaction of those around me was equally clear. Here was a woman who was speaking to their hopes and desires. Perhaps she is now more popular in Australia and the States than in her home country, I don’t know. I do know from looking at the charts of UK gilt prices and yields, and the borrowings of the UK government, that the UK is in a worse state now than when she left it.

I will be interested to see how all this plays out, sitting here on the opposite side of the world.

As a member of the Facts4EU team, I can only hope for the best and wish everyone in the UK well.
