What can be done to stop him and will it all be too late by the next general election?

In just one week – last week - the United Kingdom was damaged immeasurably by its Prime Minister.

On Monday (19 May 2025) he committed to courses of action which will place the UK once again under the rule of a foreign power and a foreign court and this time its people will not even have any say or vote over the laws under which they will live and be judged. And Sir Keir agreed to pay for this surrender with the taxpayers’ money.

At the same time he committed to give access to a foreign power to sovereign UK waters, up to six miles from the UK’s coastline, for an internationally-unprecedented 12 years, at no cost and for no return whatsoever.

On Thursday (22 May 2025) he voluntarily gave away British sovereign territory with a vital UK strategic importance to a foreign government affiliated to the world’s largest non-western power – a one-party state with a track record which breaks on every level almost every ethical standard deemed basic by the British people. And he agreed to pay for this surrender with UK taxpayers’ money.

If he can do all this in one week, what can he do in the next four years?

Desperate times, desperate measures…

In over nine years we cannot recall publishing an article such as this. Perhaps it indicates the level of our concern at recent developments and the direction of travel. If you are a new reader, take a look at our news summary pages and you will see just how unusual this piece is. We will just add, however, that this does not mark a departure from our non-partisan policy. As ever, whatever the hue of the government of the day, we criticise policies which impact on our core mission of independence, sovereignty, democracy and freedom.

We continue to work on unique reports, (we have an absolute cracker which is almost ready), and normal service will be resumed shortly. Today, however, we want to inform our regular readership that we have been in discussions with all the influential contacts we have built up over the years, as well as with all our affiliated organisations, discussing the new situation and – more specifically – what can be done about it.

What are your views?

We have a number of initiatives already planned and are working on more. It is at this point that we would like to involve you, our readership, and ask for your thoughts. Finally, we are considering holding a Zoom / YouTube meeting for all donors and members, perhaps with some guest speakers, where opinions and ideas can be aired. Is this something which would be of interest to you?

What are you prepared to do about it?

Firstly, we are interested in anybody who has some free time to help in researching and writing our reports. We badly need to increase the size of the team.

Secondly, if we are going to coordinate ‘The Great Fightback’ to counter ‘The Great Reset’, we need to get serious about having the financial resource to do it. It is fairly well-known that a foreign billionaire’s various ‘open society’ foundations have been funding the other side to the tune of several million pounds.

I thought the agreed annual fishing quota for EU fishermen in UK waters in the latest ‘reset’ fishing arrangement with the EU is still the same as the annual fishing quota negotiated by Boris and Frost?
And I thought that Trump was very happy with the Chagos arrangements … as the USA retain control of their military base on Diego Garcia for the next 99 years?

Facst4EU forgot to mention that the Federation of Small Businesses, the British Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Directors, the Confederation of British Industry, Salmon Scotland, all UK supermarkets, the National Farmers’ Union, the Food and Drink Federation and the Farmers’ Union of Wales are all pleased with Starmer’s new trade arrangement with the EU.

The EU Reset will not benefit the UK economy. The government claims that it will provide a £9bn benefit but has not put any cost on losing the right to progressively take control of our fisheries. The opportunity cost is more than the £9bn.
Yes big business is in favour of the Reset because it will allow an influx of cheap labour which will hold down the wages of skilled and semi-skilled workers as it did when we were in the EU
The actual benefits of dynamic alignment have been assessed by trade experts and found to be minimal with almost all the benefit accruing to the EU.
Small business may think the Reset will allow them to avoid documentation if they export to the EU but most of the documentation the EU require will remain.

Right now I would already be feeling more positive when net immigration reduces to the levels we had when we were in the EU.

Your trade experts certainly do not align with the Federation of Small Businesses, the British Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Directors, the Confederation of British Industry and the Food and Drink Federation.

This is nonsense … and you know it. The fishing income of the UK fishing fleet was £1bln in 2023. How can this become £9bln by magic when our fish population in UK waters is already declining?

It is so depressing: our UK fishing industry is £65million worse of each year since Brexit. And here you go again shamelessly promising our fishermen that Brexit has the opportunity to increase the fishing industry by 9 fold?

It's amazing how the Federation of small businesses, the British Chamber of Commerce, The Institute of Directors, The Confederation of British industry, the Adam Smith Institute and just about everybody else is showing almost record low levels of business confidence when Kier Stammer is bringing them such amazing deals. Maybe they will feel better when kier gives them "free movement" without the present inconvenience of them having to comply with the present "minimum salary" requirements for immigrants. As most of their members have a very high number of low paid staff this should help their bonuses and share options.

9 NH … more nonsense. The new sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) deal with the EU has nothing to do with more “free movement” or reducing the present “minimum salary” for immigrants.
