Brexit Facts4EU will generally not be publishing on Fridays

This is due to our precarious financial situation and need for donations

Generally we will no longer be publishing on Fridays.

For eight years we published seven days-a-week but around two years ago we were finally forced to drop down to five: Mondays-to-Fridays. Reluctantly we have had to make the decision to drop down again, to Mondays-to-Thursdays. Some of the team will still be working seven days-a-week, but realistically we can only produce four reports each week.

We know this is the worst time to be doing this, as the Prime Minister is gearing up to reverse Brexit at an increasing pace, but we have no choice.

When I asked what "I" would get back for my money, I was asking for the country as a whole. Clearly, I myself am never going to contribute £20-odd billion personally, that was referring to the whole country.
Also, as someone approaching retirement, it is of little concern for myself that I would have to compete with loads of workers from East Europe to get a job. That does not matter for me personally, but it matters for young people.
In fact Leave/Remain is of negligible financial interest either way to someone like me. So you have got it all wrong with that response.
So to clarify, pretend you are a salesperson selling Rejoin to a "notional" British person of working age, not me personally.

So you started off claiming that Brexit was a failure for economic reasons and then you switched and claimed it's not about the economy it's about Britain's "broken society" and a lack of patriotism.

I think you are right to say that patriotism in the UK has declined significantly and we are definitely a divided society with multiple divisions. According to numerous international surveys the most patriotic major nation in the world is the USA and the least are the nations of western Europe with Germany and France consistently at the bottom of the list. Maybe we could learn from these results.

If you want to "address the numerous genuine problems problems of the 21st century" you vote for a political party that will do this. You do not give away your right to vote !

Brexit is a noun that describes Britain's exit from the EU so by definition it's succeeded. The failure is down to the political parties that have been elected since Brexit but we can eventually replace these.

According to the people running the EU they have failed to grow the EU's economy and have under performed all major nations for over 20 years. They have also failed to control immigration. Your claims that the way to control immigration is to give up control of our immigration and the way to grow the economy is to hand over control of our economy to a Political Union that's admits it's an economic failure are ridiculous.

12 KB … Rejoin is currently not an option. We have properly burned that bridge for now. I personally think that the EU deal we had was better than what we currently have. I would like us to move to a Norway-style arrangement first ... and see where that takes us. A Norway-style arrangement is a reversible step … it can be done and undone again without the need for a referendum. I think it is a bit naive to think that the EU countries would like us to re-join the EU again for now. Brexit did not only harm the UK economy but also negatively impacted the economies of several EU countries. Our chance of salvaging something from the mess that Brexit has created is being undermined by those selling false hope that that either Brexit can work, or that it can be easily undone.

13 NH … not sure why you deliberately twist my words around each time. It makes it difficult to have a proper discussion with you. But I will try once more.
The points I am making:
1/ Impact of Brexit: Brexit did not cause Britain’s growth malaise, but it undoubtedly deepened it. Nor did it create our fiscal woes, although it worsened them. Denial about this helps no one. Indeed, a successful sovereign economic policy demands taking responsibility and facing the world as it is, not as we wish it to be.
2/ In 2016, 17.4 mln people believed Brexit could be a success … this mass disillusion shows how broken our society is.
NH, I am not expecting you to agree with me … hence no need to reply to my post stating that anyone that does not agree with you is missing the point. I am happy for you that you are happy with Brexit … and that you think the UK is now a better place than before 2016.
