At this critical time in the UK’s general election campaign Ben Habib has kindly agreed to give us his thoughts on how Europe is shifting to the right, following the EU Parliament elections which have just completed.

Ben will also answer questions about the rapidly-rising Reform UK party, of which he is Deputy Leader. In the latest YouGov poll, Reform UK has just overtaken the ruling Conservative Party to take second place. This event could not be better timed!

About this event

Eloquent, highly-intelligent, well-informed, and occasionally argumentative(!), our Chairman has known Ben for some years. The one thing we believe we can promise is that if you attend this special event you won’t be bored!

Ben will give us his initial views for around five minutes, following which he has agreed to take questions from the floor for at least the first hour. He will reflect on the rising fortunes of his Party, and - as a former MEP - Ben will give us his insights into the workings of the EU Parliament and the EU Commission. We are sure this will be a fascinating discussion for all our UK, European, Antipodean, American and Asian readers.

How to attend

Firstly we ask you to register and pay a small joining fee. You will then receive the link to join in. We regret the necessity for this, but it should prevent a whole load of 'undesirables' from spoiling the event for the rest of us. All proceeds go to supporting Facts4EU’s work.

About 'The Global Discussion Forum' (GDF)

The GDF is an online forum run by Brexit Facts4EU, CIBUK.Org, and 'Commanding the Narrative' (Australia). This has a guest list numbering around 500 and contains some very erudite people from around the world – from business, academia, politics, science, and government. Attendance depends on the topic.

if as predicted Labour get a large majority how can they be stopped from overturning Brexit ? What I'm reading on line is they plan to do it by stealth , by closer alignment and altering previous agreements. As we left by referendum surely we can only rejoin after a referendum but this is not in their manifesto.

The best We can hope for is a Hung Parliament if Labour were to win then 6 months later there would be another election the Conservative Party would be rid of Sunak by then I am a member of the Social Democratic Party so I would never support Reform
