Below is a deeply troubling report.

“??” is facing a major challenge to its education system — it needs tens of thousands more teachers. Hiring from abroad is one of the bright ideas to fill the gaps, but bureaucracy is hindering efforts.

“…school buildings are in disrepair. Plaster is crumbling off the walls, toilets are broken and gymnasiums are closed for repair work. Many don't have Wi-Fi and computers are scarce. Teachers are exhausted, and more and more students are at risk of being left behind after schools were closed for weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The sorry state of ??’s education system is the result of mismanagement and poor planning, say education researchers, and it comes at a time when schools face new challenges as they are expected to help with the integration of more foreign students.”

Before Rejoiners rejoice at a problem ‘clearly caused by Brexit…’

We can now tell readers that the country being talked about is not the United Kingdom. The words above are about the EU’s ‘powerhouse economy’ of Germany.

We have quoted from a major report by the German state broadcaster, DW, published yesterday (29 Jan 2023).

The long report goes on to quote from research institutes, foundations, commissions, and from Heinz-Peter Meidinger, President of the German Teachers' Association. It is damning, to say the least, and all say the situation is rapidly getting even worse with no solution in sight.

And teaching is not the only sector in trouble in Germany and in other EU countries

For years the Brexit Facts4EU.Org team has researched and published many reports on the above, using only official sources. In the last year we have been joined by CIBUK - to whom Facts4EU are affiliated - who have republished our work.

One year ago we read some German analysis about the chronic labour shortages which said: “A major cause is an increasingly rapid retirement from the workforce of the so-called baby-boomer generation of workers born in the 1950s and early 1960s. Around 350,000 workers are leaving the workforce each year, with not enough new workers to replace them.”

Back in 2001 Germany’s Federal Employment Agency Chairman Detlef Scheele told the daily Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper:

“It will be much more dramatic over the coming years. The fact is: Germany is running out of workers."
"We need 400,000 immigrants per year, significantly more than in recent years.
"From nursing care and climate technicians to logisticians and academics, there will be a shortage of skilled workers everywhere."

And this is not only happening in Germany but in other major EU economies too, including the EU's No.2 economy : France.

And none of the above is “due to Brexit”.

Observations

Germany's troubles are not "due to Brexit"

To the best of our knowledge there hasn’t yet been a ‘Dexit’ – an exit of Germany from the European Union - so Germany's woes cannot be blamed on that.

Equally, we are pretty sure that Germany’s steadily worsening situation over several years has not been ‘caused by Brexit’.

Do any Rejoiners care about the truth?

Despite EU countries like Germany suffering from severe problems for years, the UK's Rejoiners have been responsible for a continuous drip-drip of stories claiming that every conceivable problem experienced at some point in some part of the UK has been caused by Brexit. We find this wholly unacceptable. Either the torrent of misinformation promoted to the British public stems from gross ignorance, or it is deliberate false propaganda ('fake news'). We suspect it's a combination of both, and the Rejoiners must be called out for this.

Things in the United Kingdom may not be perfect and there are certainly many challenges ahead. However the arch Rejoiners are going to have to get up much earlier in the morning and do some proper research, as we do, before they come out with their fantasy claims about Brexit.

We must get reports like this out there

Reports like the one above take far longer to research, write and produce than many people realise. If they were easy, readers would see other organisations also producing these daily.

WOW! I wonder how fanatical rejoiners are going to explain away the above report.
The same can be asked of fanatical rejoiner MPs and peers in the Houses of Commons and Lords, respectively.
And of course there is the fly in the ointment called the UK civil service whom appear to do their own thing by placing obstacles in the way of UK freedoms.
Perhaps the ultimate fanatic Mr Bray will care to explain why Germany is doing so badly - could it be because they are an EU net contributor member country whose taxpayers help prop up other EU net recipient member countries.
So many questions which rejoiners can never answer with actual official facts. We Brexiteers are on the right side of history and we believe in our country for all its faults.

So a Brexit benefit is someone else is doing worse. Change in GDP compared to pre pandemic, Q4 1019 to Q3 2022) UK -0.8% Germany +0.3 Eurozone +2.2% US +4.4%. Uk is the only G7 country with lower GDP than pre pandemic levels (House of Commons library). Whilst an MP who was previously Chancellor has been sacked for not paying taxes, but is still an MP. And a lying PM who was kicked out in disgrace is still an MP.

Only rejoiners would use the fact the UK had the biggest fall in gdp because of a uncontrollable virus affecting us more.

Sparky, you still don't get it and by the look of it never will. One benefit should have been that rejoiners start to realise that not everything can be blamed on Brexit and BAD things might just happen - regardless to Brexit.
You created an ideal world in your mind and you’re identifying that with the scenario of UK staying in the EU. Like no bad things whatsoever would have ever happened if we stayed in the EU. Beyond naive.

But Julie your argument works in reverse. You lot never realised that not all bad things could be blamed on EU membership.
You created an ideal world in your mind where leaving the EU fixed all of our problems. Brexit actually made most of the problems worse.

There’s an interesting poll today showing that of the UKs 650 parliamentary constituencies only 3 now contain a majority that backs Brexit. All three are in Lincolnshire - which we know is a dump.

Being in the EU doesn't seem to helping them out much.
