Bosnia & Herzegovina is latest impoverished country to receive EU ‘candidate status’

With Home Secretary Suella Braverman under attack in the Commons for two hours yesterday by pro-migrant opposition MPs, the “invasion of the South Coast” she described will soon be made a whole lot worse by the EU.

Facts4EU.Org reports on the EU’s formal decision granting ‘candidate status’ to the poor country of Bosnia & Herzegovina in the Western Balkans.

Bosnia & Herzegovina will join other poor countries like Albania, currently responsible for thousands of illegal migrants landing in the UK. The EU relaxed visa regulations for Albanians and presumably it will do the same for Bosnians in due course.

How the EU is compensating for the loss of the UK with six Western Balkans countries

The people of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been celebrating since the EU announced their country’s formal new ‘candidate status’ last month.

They join four other Western Balkans countries: Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. The sixth, Kosovo is on the way. Kosovo is not yet even recognised as a country by the United Nations.

The EU called the UK “the big loser”

The ex-Communist, de facto, former EU Foreign and Defence Secretary was heavily involved. Here is Federica Mogherini at the World Economic Forum in late 2017, explaining how the EU would soon replace the UK with the Balkans:

Very broadly speaking, the six Western Balkans countries are situated north of Greece and south of Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. They ‘fill in a gap’ in the map of EU member states.

Rejoiner MPs might like to know that the EU has been planning the candidature of the six Balkans countries into the EU for over 15 years. The EU already has Stabilisation and Association Agreements (SAAs) in force with them all.

Observations

Yesterday in the House of Commons, Home Secretary Suella Braverman came under prolonged attack by opposition MPs over illegal immigration - what they generally call "refugees".

Today we provide a different perspective on this issue. The illegal migrants crossing the Channel in increasing numbers come from France - a safe country. To get to the northern French coast they have travelled through many EU countries - all equally safe.

The EU's desperate rush to draw more countries into its sclerotic empire has resulted in relaxed visa restrictions for countries put on its "candidates list". We felt that highlighting the latest move by the EU had relevance in the debate now going on in the UK. What struck us yesterday when viewing the debate in the Commons was just how out of touch so many MPs seem to be with the mood of the majority of the British public on this question.

The UK recognises Kosovo too - but you didn’t mention that.
Some perspective here. Bosnia is poor now -ravaging as it was by war in the 1990s. But Slovenia and Croatia were poor when they joined the EU and - largely thanks to the benefit to them of EU membership and the huge hit to the UK from Brexit - Slovenians are forecast to be richer than us by the end of the decade.
As for Braverman - any further to the right and she’d need jackboots. She is deeply unpleasant. An extremist. Massively out of her depth. A rule breaker and a genuinely nasty piece of work. A disgrace to her office and an embarrassment to this country. It is no surprise to see Brexitists like Redwood support this political gutter dweller.
But well done for trying to generate more hate. You are failing spectacularly.

I like this site and link to it every day.
Just a thought . . . (not knowing anything about tactics and reach).
It occurred to me it is probably good for this site's 'viewing figures' that Buster 'upsets the applecart' and 'rocks the boat' almost every day.
Not saying he is right but I am sure that more than a few people when deciding whether to click on the article to get informed by the article are also attracted by a bit of real time action.
Just make sure his posts are countered effectively where appropriate.
Summary: Buster is an asset even though he would be called a troll by some.

Perhaps Irish taxpayers (a net contributor) to the EU scam, along with the few other net contributors, stop and think they'll need to dig a little deeper to prop up all the net recipients, they may wonder why their taxes are being spent on foreign countries instead of their own country, and keeping the EU gravy train rolling.
Well done to Suella in the House of Commons yesterday afternoon for telling it as it is. She is, in my opinion, a strong Home Secretary - as she should be, BUT is Rishi a strong PM? - We will see in due course. That said, ACTIONS speak louder than words.
Shame on those MP's who fail to recognise ILLEGAL migration.
It's about time our security services together with other security services made a positive effort to smash the people traffickers and gangs and go after them?
Those who come across the channel with one purpose, knowingly place themselves at risk - UK taxpayers are NOT responsible for their illegal activity.

It isn’t illegal to claim asylum. It isn’t illegal to arrive by dinghy to claim asylum. And, if you are claiming asylum, you don’t need a passport.
What is amusing is watching all these Brexitist scream blue murder as this problem has got worse as a result of Brexit.

This is more of a big deal than some people think. The EU depends on some countries making a contribution to its budget so that other countries can receive net support. To lose a big economy - and have Italy gradually turn into another basket case - while admitting more poor countries, just puts more and more pressure on German and French taxpayers. Guess how they will express that.

2. Dorset Patriot Sorry, but no, I don't think Buster is an asset. First of all, he is very lazy. He makes wild claims but he never post a source or a number. If he ever posted a concrete fact, there would be something to debate, but that never happens.
The second reason is that he keeps contradicting himself. For example today, supposedly the UK has taken a "huge hit" from Brexit and soon we will be poorer that Slovenia, or something, but this is the reason for increased inward migration. Do migrants tell themselves that they have to get to the UK because it's in such terrible shape? Migrants have to get ^out^ of oh so wonderful France and *into* terrible Britain? This makes sense? These are the comments of an asset?

According to Buster we have taken a "huge hit" and will soon be poorer than Slovenia, or something, so why are they so anxious to get us back into the EU? What is the benefit to them? If Brexit has hurt us so badly, why is the EU so angry about it and so manipulative in its attempts to reverse it? Why is the EU throwing such a tantrum over something that supposedly hurts the UK?
