Official: Illegal boat migrants from Macron’s France now exceed 50,000

Despite the loss of life, the EU and France still won’t agree a returns deal with the UK

President Macron has now allowed over 50,000 illegal boat migrants to cross from France to the UK since 2018. And the numbers are growing exponentially.

This is the disturbing result of the analysis conducted by Facts4EU.Org into the full official figures from the Home Office and the Ministry of Defence. And even these figures do not include all who have arrived.

With the EU Commission and Macron’s government refusing a returns agreement with the UK, and with the UK Government’s Rwanda plan vetoed by the European Court of Human Rights, France’s illegal migrants continue to cross in rapidly increasing numbers.

Who is coming, how, and are the dangers increasing?

There were 1,034 small boats detected arriving in the UK in the calendar year 2021. This compares with 641 in 2020, 164 in 2019 and 43 in 2018.

As the number of illegal crossings increases, so too does the possibility of collisions with tankers, capsizings, and drownings.

Migrants per boat have more than quadrupled since 2018

Not only are the boat numbers increasing rapidly, but so also is their size - and the number of people being packed onto each boat by the human trafficker gangs.

In terms of nationality, the majority are of Arab origin, with Iranians making up the largest proportion (30%).

Legal migration has always been a part of the UK’s personality

For centuries the United Kingdom has welcomed people from across the world and continues to do so. It is currently welcoming citizens from countries as far apart as Hong Kong and Ukraine, for example.

British people have always been generous to those genuine asylum seekers in need of refuge. Indeed the UK Cabinet even has some members who would not be here without this history.

The information we have presented above is factual and comes from the official sources in the UK. All we have done is to summarise it for readers.

Now the British military is in charge

On 14 April 2022, the Government announced that the Ministry of Defence (MoD) would take operational command of responding to small boat crossings. The MoD began publishing provisional daily and weekly numbers on ‘Migrants detected crossing the English Channel in small boats’, from April 2022.

There is currently a two week gap in reporting, from the Home Office figures up to the end of March, to the time the military took over on 14 April. Our figures above will therefore be lower than the reality.

Observations

Granting asylum to people in trouble is in the British people's DNA. Accepting 50,000 of President Macron's illegal migrants is not.

With the numbers growing at an exponential rate, it must be asked on what possible pretext could he - or the EU - decline to accept these illegal migrants being returned to the safe country of France, from where they set off?

If anyone doubts the hostile actions of the EU and some EU countries towards the United Kingdom since it voted to leave its sclerotic empire, here is a classic example.

Imagine a scenario whereby enough of the fighting age indigenous population could be sent to a foreign battlefield to receive a kicking, then a percentage of a trojan horse contingent were to stage an action so deplorable that it ruined the morale of the front line troops to divide them further. Blimey that would result in.....
Anyway surely nobody would do that.
On the plus side over the next couple of weeks we finally get to see the euro take a pummel, bonds in terrible negative value, propped up on German manufacturing which will no longer be able to keep the lights on. Funny thing energy security.

France should be prosecuted by the ECHR for this act. Knowingly turning a blind eye is negligence of the highest order.

So, almost 2 weeks after this report we see the increasing numbers and as anticipated, larger vessels being used and looking at the weather patterns, the only defence being windy conditions. The MoD’s figures show the following weekly stats:
27 JUN - 03 JUL inclusive: 541 / 13 boats
04 JUL - 10 JUL inclusive: 607 / 15 boats
11 JUL - 14 JUL yesterday, inclusive: 1023 / 28 boats ( so this will be a bumper week with 3 days count remaining )
Out of 14 days in July so far, there have been 5 days reported with Zero arrivals.
One way transfers to Rwanda on hold & it seems likely to be so until after the installation of the new PM, if they ever happen at all.
Now we see a headline “ Ireland runs out of rooms for Ukrainians – and blames the UK’s Rwanda policy” Could this be the Ireland which has proposed the amnesty, by any other name, of at least 17.000 of “their” illegal, illegally arrived, irregular, arrivals by illegal means, migrants, whatever one prefers to call them. Most beds at Ireland’s main hub for welcoming Ukrainians are reportedly taken by asylum seekers from other nations. And it’s the UK’s fault it seems.
A recent estimate of between 310.000 and 500.000 illegal / irregular migrants are living in the UK. Really? I suspect that is much higher. The recent estimate of 100.000 plus remains, as being the figure for Asylum Seekers awaiting a decision. Also another recent stat seen estimating 282.000, singles, couples, families judged to be homeless or who were likely to be threatened with homelessness by Local Authorities in the year 2020/2021.
