EU’s plan to split up United Kingdom now in tatters, according to latest poll
By 2 to 1 the Northern Irish reject unification and thereby reject rejoining EU

EU’s, Republic’s, and Sinn Fein’s hopes to punish the United Kingdom now lie on the EU carpet
In a major weekend poll for the Irish Times which is sure to cause misery in Brussels and Dublin, Northern Irish voters made it abundantly clear there have no desire for a ‘united Ireland’. They prefer to stay in the non-EU United Kingdom by a majority of almost two to one.
Despite all the EU propaganda and despite its attempts via the N.I. Protocol - with the collusion of the Republic of Ireland’s government - to split up the United Kingdom as punishment for leaving the EU’s empire, the latest poll shows the Northern Irish wish to stay in the UK's Union.

1. Of those who expressed a preference, the poll found:
- Want N.I. to stay in UK : 64.9%
- Want N.I. to leave UK and unify with South : 35.1%

2. When it comes to the sectarian divide the results were interesting:
- N.I. Protestants to stay in UK : 95.2%
- N.I. Protestants to leave UK and unify with South : 4.8%
- N.I. Catholics to stay in UK : 27.6%
- N.I. Catholics to leave UK and unify with South" : 72.4%

Not only a rejection of Irish ‘unification’ but also a rejection of the EU
To state the obvious, if Northern Ireland were to unify with the Republic of Ireland it would mean the citizens of Northern Ireland would become citizens of the EU, as the Republic is still an EU member country.
The poll results will therefore come as a blow to the Brussels eurocrats, as well as to the government in Dublin.

This was an Ipsos opinion poll for a new research project into North-South relations and political views on the future of the island. There were twin polls carried out north and south of the border for The Irish Times and the Arins Project. Arins ('Analysing and Researching Ireland North and South') is a joint venture between the Royal Irish Academy and the University of Notre Dame.
The two polls and focus group findings were carried out among more than 1,000 voters in Northern Ireland and the Republic in August and September of this year.
Observations
The first thing to say is that this poll's findings give a boost to the cause of a resilient United Kingdom and give a blow to the flailing EU Commission in its mission to divide the UK as punishment for Brexit.
It is a sad fact of life, however, that (mostly) Democrats in the US such as President Joe Biden continue to believe that somehow there is a majority in Northern Ireland for unification, when there never has been. It has suited Democrats to imply that Northern Ireland is part of British imperialist traditions and that a majority Catholic population is being oppressed by the British.
We have even heard this view expressed across the EU.
When will the FCO ever act?
We suggest that this poll's findings should have been on every US Senator's and US Representative's desks on Capitol Hill yesterday morning, courtesy of the Foreign Office diplomats working in our Washington Embassy. Based on past experience, however, we know there is more chance of an FCO official donating to Brexit Facts4EU.Org than of this having happened.

We must get reports like this out there
