On Brexit, Trump, democracy, and the evil empire that is the EU

Today sees the Prime Minister facing his fifth Brexit deadline. We understand that he is intending to address the nation on television this afternoon and we expect him to announce that the country must now assume there will be no trade deal with the EU prior to 31 Dec 2020. We further expect him to leave the door open to continued negotiations - something we would most definitely not do as this has the effect of prolonging uncertainty.

Whilst waiting for the Prime Minister's statement, below we present a guest article by Andrea Hossó, a respected pro-Brexit economist. In it she discusses basic issues in relation to 'the EU Empire', Brexit, President Trump, and democracy. We hope you find it interesting.

Deadlines keep passing in this interminable purgatory of Brexit ‘negotiations’ without much actually happening. There is a lot of talk about trade, the usual handwringing about impending economic disasters, and dark warnings about the UK’s diminished standing in the world.

Project Fear is again - still - in full swing trying to avert the inevitable: the UK’s departure from the EU to turn into a fully independent, sovereign state.

‘Leave’ was never supposed to win

The Brexit vote was never supposed to win. David Cameron and the ‘elite’ were convinced that most people would never vote to leave; had he thought it possible he would never have allowed the referendum.

He believed it was impossible not only because Project Fear was unleashed on the population with the full force of the state, big business and big media, but also because he could not imagine that people would dare to think that leaving was possible. Not after so many decades of brainwashing, not despite a system of such deeply vested interests. The inertia was surely overwhelming.

Trump was never supposed to win

In the same way, the American ‘elite’ did not believe in 2016 that Donald Trump could win the elections. Not under the barrage of media propaganda and brainwashing, not despite a system of such deeply vested interests. They wanted to make sure this could never happen again so we are now witnessing the 2020 election aftermath melting into a scenario redolent of banana republics.

We are currently presented with parallel virtual universes: on one side, there is the President and his legal teams, and an army of witnesses with thousands of affidavits speaking up at dozens of hearings. On the other side, we are bombarded with the mainstream media’s and politicians’ breathless assertions that their candidate is indeed the president-elect.

Even when they furtively mention the Trump side’s challenges, without exception they qualify these as “baseless” and “unfounded”, sounding ever more like a Greek drama chorus repeating an epitheton ornans ad infinitum. Undesirable opinions and challenges are censored and taken off the internet. Tens of millions of American voters, on both sides, now believe that the elections were rigged but even the collapse of the institutional system is not too dear a price to secure the ‘right’ result.

As it is in the US, so it is in the UK

The UK and the US face different situations but the basic issue is the same. Nobody is allowed to leave the Empire, the brave new world, based on shared humanity, democracy (as long as it is the ‘right’ variety), a multitude of group identities all united in being quite different but uniformly subjugated to the same world order.

Americans are not allowed to choose a president who champions sovereignty. Similarly, no country is allowed to depart the EU, the great project uniting all those irritatingly different European nation states by depriving them of their national identities to make them instead departments of the big Empire.

The paralysis of democracy

Jean-Pierre Chevènement, leftist French politician, writes in his book:

“The political paralysis of democracy [in the European Union] has been institutionalised: no general European interest can emerge from the complex and opaque decision-making process of its institutions.” *

On the other end of the political palette, Philippe de Villiers, right-wing French politician writes in his book:

“A European citizenry is an illusion. There is no agora and no such thing as a European people. We are too divided by our traditions, our past and our languages, to be able to form a political community capable of thinking together with a view to a common good. But the Union keeps marching on stealthily. It is a creature of the depths; what it fears is the light. It thrives in the shadow of this kratos with no demos and this parliament with no people.” *

The UK must cut free of the lethal embrace of the Empire

There is only one solution if you want to escape the lethal embrace of the Empire: you must cut free and, if needed, accept sacrifices to do so whether you are an individual or a country.

Freedom can never be taken for granted, every generation has to fight for it. There are opponents you can’t negotiate with.

When two parties represent completely opposite values - one striving for independence and sovereignty, the other for domination and subjugation - there is nothing to negotiate about. Save your souls.

I am so looking forward to seeing Macron's smug smile wiped from his face when Boris announces No Deal. And it would be a sure bet that Macron and Merkle will be falling over themselves to talk to Boris. I had to laugh at Merkle refusing to take Boris's call, deferring it to the Commission. It's a pity she never consulted them or other EU leaders when she unilaterally invited millions of so called refugees into Europe.
We must leave this insidious corrupt, corpulent, EU, now!. And we need to distance ourselves quickly, before the mass stampede to leave begins.

Interesting to see another perspective of someone looking in on what is happening. I am in absolute agreement about her statement about cutting free however painful it may be in the short term. It must be said that these continuous deadlines need to stop. We cannot continue right up to December 31st with more hopeless talks as it's clear now that the EU Mafia will not give in. Our sovereignty is more important than being a vassal state which is what we would become if we accepted the EU's terms.
First stage will be to declare a 'NO DEAL', second stage would be to repudiate the WA and leave the border decisions to the EU, if they decide to put in a hard border they will break the GFA so be that on their own heads.
Finally Cameron was a wimp of a PM and May was a gurning failure, both remainers the former tried to con the public into thinking she was negotiating on the UK was leaving the EU when in actual fact she was helping them retain a grip on the UK.
Boris was more firm in his attitude in delivering Brexit and has brought us to where we are today where Cameron and May would have capitulated by now, it would have then been simply BRINO. Lets hope there is the good news that we leave with a no deal as from today and have no more pointless extensions.

The struggle for freedom during two World Wars. The smaller Nations breaking free only to be subsumed by the Bureaucratic Politically dominating European Union.

I'm holding my breath. We are all agreed that there cannot and should not be any more 'extensions'. The British Government has done all it can to salvage a deal to the benefit of both sides, but as your guest writer says you cannot negotiate with those who do not believe in Democracy. Interesting that the US is going through a fight for Democracy too at the same time. Now why would that be? Could it have anything to do with the Elitists and their so called Build Back Better Reset? Another battle looms.

Macron' s demands for HIS fish is bringing to light the gross miss management of the Common Fisheries Policies. How the UK Government and its Civil Servants were party to the destruction of our fishing fleets. With half of England’s fishing quota currently in foreign hands.
Some £160m worth of England's fishing quota is in the hands of vessels owned by companies based in Iceland, Spain and the Netherlands, according to BBC research.
That amounts to 130,000 tonnes of fish a year and 55% of the quota's annual value in 2019.
The value of fish is in the UK EEZ, its just British Trawlermen are not catching it, and therefore remainers can quote irrelevant percentages of GDP.
With very reduced fishing waters the in-fighting between Continental fishermen will soon start

That we are now seeking solace in the advice of right wing isolationists is not at all surprising to Russia. It was them that wrote that the isolation of the UK would be key to dissolving European resistance to their geopolitical goals. Right on track! Remember, the 2016 US election had many claims of Russian meddling. Guess what, so did the UK elections. Tellingly, Bo & Co suppressed the finding of the intelligence community who wrote a report on this, for the 1st time ever. A report funded by public funds hidden from them, to no questioning.
This is a chess game, whose rules are written in books cause they know you'll never read them. "The Foundations of Geopolitics" was written in Russia decades ago. I doubt any here have picked it up. The rise of of European right-wing nations is exactly what Russia need. The UK is playing right into their hands, at the behest of voters who are tilting the geopolitical balance over immigrants. Amazing that people would be so vested in marginalising other people's freedom to the extent of marginalising their own. I would not be surprised to hear of a future alliance with Russia in my lifetime. There is no other recourse against a relentless adversary like Russia.
I find it curious that a former fascist nation of the last world war, they being most qualified to recognise the pattern of it's movements, is all falling on deaf ears. Let's appease the right wing once more, just like we did the last time we severely regretted it.

The PM should have walked away from the talks in October as deadline after deadline passed without action. The UK would then have known it was No Deal & got on with all the preparations necessary. We now hear the talks will continue despite today being the final deadline. It makes the PM look weak, creates confusion & allows the Remain focused media, some MPs & members of the establishment to keep pumping out project fear propangda. The mainstream media have behaved disgracefully in making it look as the UK has failed, when it is the hard line EU leaders who refuse to negotiate. The plan to force 27 nations into one new nation called Europe will fail, but for now it must be pursued at whatever cost to people's jobs & lives. After all the leaders & Brussels bureaucrats salaries & pensions are secure, so it is just tough if a few car workers, workers in the food & drink industry & some fishermen or women have to sacrifice their jobs for the greater EU project. Comment no 6 you are behind the times, China is the long term problem, not Russia. But that is a side issue. The EU bluntly refuse to budge on their demands to keep us in subservience for ever. So lets walk away from these fruitless talks & concentrate on our long term future. Our sovereignty cannot & never should have been given away to an unelected, bureaucratic, dishonest bunch who we can never vote out of office. Our MPs have been drawing their salaries under false pretences for the last 47 years. From January 1st 2021 they are going to have to do their jobs properly & put the UK first. If any of them don't believe in the UK & its people, let them resign & be replaced with people who do!

The fix is in.By extending the so called deadline for a deal,the globalists are about to rescue one of their own Macron.These negotiations with the EU are about a legally binding treaty as the end result.Whatever deal is done ties the UK to the EU for ever.Macron is under enormous pressure at home,no deal on fishing would have sunk him, especially as Norway has banned both the UK and EU boats from their waters in the event of no deal.Our Government is about to sell the UK out make no mistake, there will be no freedom for us ever next stop, the Great Rese.
