In this two-part series Brexit Facts4EU.Org takes a look at the answers given. In this Part One, we consider the answer to one of the questions, which sums up the differences between the British and the EU27 when it comes to openness to the World.
British people buy globally, most EU27 citizens don’t
In Part One of this summary of the EU Commission’s report we look at the revealing answer to one of the questions which the EU Commission asked.
Brexit Facts4EU.Org Summary
“In the past 12 months, how often have you bought goods or services via the Internet
from sellers outside the EU?”
- 61% of British people had bought goods or services from outside the EU in the past year
- Only 42% of EU citizens had done so
- British people came out 1st out of 28 nationalities for buying online globally
- Amongst EU27 countries the figure was as low as 20%
About this EU survey
This survey was requested by the European Commission, Trade Directorate-General. It was co-ordinated by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Communication. It is one of many expensive surveys conducted by the EU each year, which are carried out by a firm based in Brussels.
Observations
This survey is yet another in a long line of expensive public opinion exercises each year in which the EU Commission asks (often) leading questions designed to show how well it is doing and how much the EU public love the EU.
Above we have highlighted just one of the questions in the latest survey which was released yesterday. We have done so because it is highly indicative of the fundamental differences between the UK and the rest of the EU.
Remainers (and the EU itself) always speak of ‘solidarity’, ‘unity’ and other luvvie concepts. The simple fact is that the EU is a forced amalgamation of very different national interests.
Tomorrow we will publish an indictment of this survey as whole, and show how it is yet another propaganda exercise by the EU Commission, part-paid for out of UK taxpayer funds.
The provisional title is :
“Latest EU propaganda survey shows that EU propaganda works - Part Two”
