Jolly Brexiteer event in Amber Rudd’s constituency
Bring the bright happy light of Brexit to a miserable minister!
This Saturday (26 Jan) between 11am and 2pm come and join us in Amber Rudd’s constituency of Hastings and Rye! Here is a message from our merry band:-
“A small team will be leafleting from a street stall In Hastings and Rye for a Go WTO Brexit. Our intrepid volunteers will also be campaigning for the de-selection of Ms Rudd as the local Conservative MP, as she is actively working against Brexit, despite her constituency, party and country all supporting it. Who does she think she represents?
“Note, this isn't a 'demo' or march, just a jolly, peaceful, leafleting campaign to help educate the public. Please feel free to join us!”
Ms Rudd has a majority of just 346. This means that it will only take 174 voters to switch to the second-placed candidate and she will be out of a job at the next election.
Her challenger (from Labour) is also a Remainer, but some people will feel that committing to switching might persuade Ms Rudd to respect democracy a little more than she currently does. After all, the choice in that constituency is between two Remainers, so why not threaten the one in power?
If you can join the team in Hastings on Saturday please contact us and we’ll send you the details to meet up.
To remind readers, here are a couple of photos of what happened when the team descended on arch-Remoaner Dominic Grieve’s constituency the weekend before last:
Please come and have a bright Brexit day beside the seaside on Saturday, with like-minded people!
P.S. If you can get to Brighton by train, we can organise a pick-up from the station.
