A selective rant by the normally calm Brexit Facts4EU.Org team

Once again, the self-obsessed House of Commons and its partner in crime the mainstream media have found something new to talk about.

They are not talking about delivering Brexit – because that’s something that no-one except the public wants – but procedures to thwart it. Read the newspapers or the BBC website today and there are entire articles devoted to rules of the House and ways by which these might be used or circumvented.

Sick and tired

Well, we’re sick and tired of it. A pompous, preening, white-haired individual who is one of the archest of arch-Remoaners finding another way to ensure another hour of airtime for himself?

Who cares? This really isn’t about him. Nor is it about procedures.

This is about Brexit, democracy, and the sovereignty of the people over the Establishment
This is about the largest democratic decision in the history of the United Kingdom
This is about the UK becoming a free, independent nation again

Mid-life, middle class, middling meddlers

Our country is going through a mid-life crisis. The sad thing is that one significant part of it doesn’t even know what this means or what it wants. Does it want a bright-red sports car? A much younger partner? Designer jeans and new Nikes?

Perhaps it simply now knows – or thinks it does – that at last it can do what it wants. It has tested the boundaries of its usual responsibilities and found that no-one seems to be too bothered about the children. After all, everyone’s doing it and the kids will just have to get used to the new arrangements. They’ll settle down. Forget ’em.

Enough

We’ve had enough. We are normal, sensible people, not given to extreme views and certainly not to extreme actions. The Brexit Facts4EU.Org team contains some people with talents, but then so does any group formed for a purpose. We’re not special. Dedicated and hard-working? Yes. Special? No.

Sometimes we just have to say things ahead of the time they need to be said.

We railed against choosing Mrs May in the Conservative leadership election of 2016 after David Cameron quit as PM. We then insisted that Philip Hammond not be allowed anywhere near a Cabinet position, let alone be considered for the role of Chancellor of the Exchequer. We slammed David Davis when he acquiesced to the demands of the EU to sequence talks instead of walking away.

We said that the EU would never negotiate any kind of sensible deal with the UK....

We just want Brexit – in 10 days’ time

The simple facts are these :-

The Government’s ‘Withdrawal Agreement’ is a constitutional abomination
It turns the UK into a powerless EU colony and is worse than remaining in that evil institution
The House of Commons and the House of Lords are no longer fit for purpose

The people voted. The Establishment has been a disgrace. We need to leave the EU on 29 March as voted for by the people and then by Parliament before it reneged on its promises. We can sort Parliament out later.

We’ve been through difficult times before. We’ll get through this.

After all, Parliament has been too busy examining its own navel over Brexit for the past three years, and yet somehow lives have gone on and the country’s economy has continued to grow without their help.

P.S. As with everything in life there are exceptions. We would like to thank the small number of MPs who are supporting our campaigns and who are true to their convictions.

I think it will be Hard Brexit on the 29th. As I have stated before, Theresa May has made this MORE likely, not less. Her objective all along has been to keep the Tory Party together, which she has succeeded in doing. In the process, she has lurched from one calamity to another, all of which have tilted us towards a WTO exit.

We should all be aware by now that "May's agreement" was cobbled up by Merkel and Robbins and May had little hand or brain in it. Bercow could have done us a great favour without intending. We can only hope that May gets a sudden illness which keeps her out of the Commons, that there is nothing done until 30th March and 29th March goes by no deal as default. Some of the 27 countries in the EU could refuse to consider any extension to Mays' deal.

In 2015, for the first time in 27 years, the Conservatives won an election outright. That was because of one single thing only - a promise of a referendum for the people about the EU. It certainly wasn't for their nanny state (EU) policies. We all know that Scameron thought that it would be a coalition so that he'd never have to actually deliver it. So after years of wrangling, the final 'once in a lifetime' decision was referred upwards to the MPs' bosses, the people. The biggest mandate for anything in our history, to LEAVE the EU, was the outcome.
Since that point, they have 'managed the problem' in the EU's interests rather than the people they supposedly 'represent' & our country.
The world now sees just how deep the corruption of our democracy has gone, with selective, and for partisan reasons, the Constitution abandoned when it suits EU aims. Our democracy has been trampled & the Constitution thrown in the bin. This applies to the majority of all sides in the House, but the Conservatives are the current EU puppet Government. Rotten to the core.
Over the last few days, we've seen just how spineless & weak some MPs are, with some surprising names. They would rather sell out our country to serfdom to a foreign power & consider this 'leaving' & think that this will save the Party. I hope that the bungs/bribes/blackmail were worth it. We are not stupid. They have proved they they too, do not have the requisite ability to lead an independent country. It has been partly their defeatist attitude that has led us to where we are now. Grow a spine & stand up for the 17.4m people and democracy.
The prison door is unlocked and wide open. Freedom & independence awaits on the other side. We just have to walk through. Do not be afraid & hand back the keys to our jailer & capos (inmates working for them). You will not be forgiven. 17.4m min people will be walking through that door on 29th March, as you either join us or democracy is pronounced dead.

All our politicians do. Anyone who gives an opinion to the media does.
Sky News have also subscribed to this view by not mentioning the alleged killer in the Christchurch Mosques in a piece on Jacinda Arden. I will: Brenton Tarrant. His name reminds me of evil as much as Anna Soubry's name reminds me of Brexit wreckers.
Name and shame.

A lot of leavers including those in Parliament seem to be quite happy about the Bercow decision. They are delusional. Bercow hasn't done this to help the Leave cause. While May's WA was on the table the ERG and DUP had leverage. Neither Labour nor the SNP were ever going to vote for it in sufficient numbers to get it over the line. That will now all change. I think we'll now see a long-ish extension and a cross party consensus Brexit plan which will render the ERG irrelevant. Labour will almost certainly get their wish for Customs Union membership. We know about the issues with the Backstop but those aside there were some surprisingly good bits in the WA. over the next few weeks and months I reckon the scrapped WA will begin to look quite appealing.

John Finn - you are assuming that the EU will grant an extension. That may well not happen - and then what?
John Redwood puts a sensible way forward on his 'John Redwood's Diary' today:
Extract: 'I am urging the Prime Minister to go to the Council at the end of this week and tell them we are leaving without signing the Withdrawal Agreement. I am asking her to table a free trade agreement and to invite them to talks as we leave the EU in accordance with their timetable. I do not see why the UK would seek an extension to Article 50. So far Ministers have been unable to come up with any plausible reason why the EU should grant us an extension.'

Civil disobedience it is then as democracy will be dead.
The vote was to leave.
It was not conditional on anything.
It wasn't to be overturned by out of control EU sycophants clinging to their dying dream of a EUSSR.
Parliament is making itself irrelevant (another aim of the EU achieved) as it's clear that the majority of MPs are corrupt anti-democrats 'just following orders'.
We have nothing to lose.
