‘Go WTO’ campaign is all positive

Now 14 Brexit organisations, three headline MPs, and two MEPs are in support

Latest additions:-

It’s not easy launching a campaign, particularly when your forte is research and delivering punchy facts from official sources. We only started this last year because it wasn’t being done, not because we enjoy politics.

Nevertheless, the #GoWTO campaign is flying. We have the support of three excellent MPs who are knowledgeable and reliable on the subject of Brexit. We also now have the support of two more Brexit organisations (see below), making 14 groups in total.

And now we have the additional support of two MEPs who sit in the EU Parliament. (We refuse to call it “the European Parliament”, as regular readers will know.)

Most of all, we have the support of you, the public. The representatives of the 17.4 million.

What's the #GoWTO campaign about?

Do all the groups and politicians share the same views?

Of course not. But they share a common belief that a clean exit from the EU on 29 March on WTO terms is not only a delivery of the Referendum vote of 23 June 2016, but a perfectly practical way of the United Kingdom regaining its independence and sovereignty.

The fact that all these politicians and Brexit groups have come together in common cause, without endorsing any of the views each other might have on other matters, demonstrates a pragmatic approach. We hope you applaud each and every one of them for this. We do.

Here are the three MPs headlining the #GoWTO campaign :-

MEPs support #GoWTO campaign

We’re delighted to announce that two British MEPs have lent their support to the #GoWTO campaign. They come from different parts of the political spectrum and act independently, which perhaps says a great deal about their Brexit focus and the fact that #GoWTO crosses traditional political boundaries.

We respect politicians who are prepared to back a cause in the national interest, and who accept that there are other groups or individuals with whom they might not normally share a platform. We know from your emails that the vast majority of readers have been crying out for this co-operation for the last two years, and that so many of you will applaud this attitude from some of our elected representatives.

Diane James MEP sits in the EU Parliament as an independent.

Diane and has a particular knowledge of the EU’s finances and the impact of their plans on the British financial and commercial sector.

Janice Atkinson MEP sits as part of the ‘Europe of Nations and Freedom’ group (ENF).

Janice has specialised on the questions of civil liberties and the immigration debate.

Regardless of readers’ own political views, we have no doubt that you will back and promote these two MEPs’ involvement. We hope to add another name in the coming days.

Two more Brexit groups support the #GoWTO campaign

We are pleased to welcome Green Leaves and Artists for Brexit to the campaign. It is probably fair to say that members of both these groups tend to come from the political left and once again this shows the appeal and the reach of the #GoWTO campaign across the political spectrum.

Green Leaves believes that a greener more sustainable UK can be achieved through the UK leaving the European Union.

Artists for Brexit is a non-partisan voluntary association and network of artists, art workers, and arts enthusiasts who support the process of securing independence for the UK.

Naturally we welcome more pro-Brexit organisations to join this public campaign. Please contact us and we would be pleased to add you.

Getting the message out there

Over the past 6 weeks our tweets have been seen over a million times. We now also have a campaign on Facebook which will increase our reach still further.

We are running (limited) paid campaigns, we have retained a PR agency to get our supporting politicians on TV, and we are working behind the scenes on a wide variety of activities to influence MPs to back (or at least not vote against) a World Trade Brexit. However we can only do this with your help.

If you’re looking to donate to something really practical and useful which is making an impact, we would remind you that we don’t have expensive London offices, secretaries, expense accounts, or the like. The more funding we receive from the public, the more we can do. It’s as simple as that.
